I made a custom ROM for my Polaris, and I probably do something wrong. It's successfully flashed, but after restart it shows the splash screen with the R G D lines and froze. How can I flash a good ROM back ?
the base was the latest official rom (RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_3.13.405.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship)
before this flash, I used c_shekbar's ROM, and it worked fine :S
I can't enter into bootloader mode with camera+reset -> the tricolor more appears only for 0.5 second
wow. solved. I realized that I must hold the camera button more and release the reset only when thr tricolor mode appears. Now I'm flashing back c_shakbar's ROM.

Just a hint, whenever you do this kind of thing, its worth having a working rom on the sdcard to reflash to using the POLAIMG.nbh file method.
Saved my bacon a few times with the 3D driver development!

Hi there,
I have HUGE problem. I had used HPSL to install a official ROM that is NOT standard in my country. The ROM installed ok but on the startup screen with the windows logo the white bar at the bottom just keeps filling up and restarting. And now I am unable to use my device. Any help would be appreciated.

Is that the little button on the back of the device? Or is it a combo of buttons?

its a combo of buttons. hold down the volume up and down key at the same time and power the phone on. that should get you to a multi coloured boot screen. just follow the instructions from there to reset

Is there any way i can force a complete format and reinstall the stock 6.5 windows?
(Long story short: installed custom radio, chucky rom and android, worked fine, wanted to install WP7, missed a step, messed it up, and not, it shows the old Chucky loading screen, and then goes into a menu that asks me what i want to do with the device, but i cant select the different options. The phone wont 'activesync' because it wont start up). Anything i can do?
ANY help MUCH appreciatet! willing to do anything to get it to work again, since i dont really want to return to my ooold Sony Ericsson W880i -.-

do you mean the magldr screen? vol up and down is scroll up and down, , send to select

heh, no prob
Just make sure when you're trying to flash any other ROM's just disable USB connections in ActiveSync before you flash as it'll say "USB init failed" otherwise.

I just realised that i flashed the new WP7-ROM without the SD-card, which means that it wont register the card now.. (this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078)

I had a hd2 with the Typhoon ROM set with the Recovery and magldr 1.13 ... after downloading a number of applications gave me an error, I continue to reset the screen to start drawing android stood in the midst of .... and would not go away ... I changed the rom and the way to a more current ... and I got to work with the installation ... But my surprise was when I can not install all the steps still doing well ...
I can´t do a tricolor screen, i don´t know why... and i tried with all types of roms... The first rom of Coutulla, Daf roms, Recovery roms...recovery roms and DAF roms stops when are loading and in the screen are the android or logos...
The roms don´t load...
Please, i really need help... i don´t know what else i can do... My hd2 is european and the operator is Movistar... i never had a problem... but now i are ****...

turn the phone off
press and hold volume up & down together and power up the phone same time
That should hard reset your phone
Than press and hold volume down and power on the phone and that should bring u into the bootscreen mode

Nothing... only load the magldr....
but the buttons are ok because i can move on the magldr menu
so than try this-
switch off the phone
take off the battery cover and find the red like small button under it. press and hold it for few seconds than try the first step again

How about reinstalling android all over again? Maybe that can solve the problem.
If you are willing to do it, just go into bootloader screen, flash task 29, flash Magldr 1.13, flash CWM (dependent on the partition lay out required by the relevant rom), and flash the ROM (Nandroid).

as far as i remember it was the volume down button to get into booloader.

I don´t understand all...do you say me taht install android again??¿ i tried...with recovery mode, DAF mode and data2ext4.... but nothing....
Are you sure you're just downloading ROM's and using the same Clockworl for all? All ROM's have different partition layout requirements for Clockwork. Check out the ROM thread and look for something about the Clockwork partition size. I usually just Ctrl Find then look for 'CWM'.
If that's not the case, you may be downloading ROM's which need an Ext3/4 partition on the SD card. Do you have an Ext partition?
Well you have the partition, so the only thong it could be, quite possibly is the wrong Clockwork size. As far as I know, I think there's an included file in the TyphooN thread that has a CWM inside it. Download it, flash it via the .daf file, then go back in to recovery and flash the TyphooN .zip again.

Reading other posts I see you have tried everything, so I suggest you go back to the start, i.e install a Win 6.5 rom from HTC using the SD card method which will erase everything on your phone(including HSPL) and revert your phone back to factory status..
and then try again, use a Android NAND rom which does not required any ext/data2sd/apps2sd partition by default and see where u get with it.

I think that i made good the partitions... but any romload compleate.... Recovery don´t run, when i install a DAF Rom the load stop in te first screen.....
And i can´t do the tricolor screen... the buttons are well...but the tricolor screen no....

I installed XDAndroid GBX0C 2.3.7Build to my HTC balckstone and everything works well, but camera tells me "camera error; Cannot connect to camera."
is there any fix for that?`
and the other thing, when i boot phone it goes to win6.1 and i have to go settings etc. and boot it from haret.exe.
so am i done something wrong or something? Solved

Hold Volume Up + Volume Down buttons (hold hard) and press Power switch until you see the warning sign to confirm a hard reset.
The system will do a re-flash of the original Windows Mobile ROM.
Start Android by running HaRET from Windows Mobile
Yes, you have to run HaRET.
You can make it simpler by making a short-cut in Windows Mobile Start Menu.
Tap and hold on HaRET until you see the Dialog Box to Cut, Copy, etc.
Tap Copy.
Go to Device-Windows-StartMenu, paste as a shortcut

I have tried hard reset, but that didn't work, and tried to put original rom too, and nothing happened. I have 2 original roms

but those didint work. i will try today againe. and then if it going to work i will put that haret to start menu.

flashed that 1.4 rom and waited about an hour and nothing happend... i jsut did hard reset and wait againe if it gonna boot now...
i was thinking that should i put custom rom, coz if something went wrong whit the official?

GBX0C2.3.7 Build is on SD card.
You will need to boot from Windows Mobile first, then run HaRET to reboot to XDAndroid.
If XDAndroid hangs, you need to remove battery, put back battery and power on. Then you see Windows Mobile and do above step again.
Always, from XDAndroid to go back to Windows, you need to Power Off, and then Power On again.

You say you are flashing the original ROM. You mean the original HTC Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM? I understand you can only get this done only from HTC authorized centers.

U have to install HTC USB Sync Drivers drivers
Put the phone into bootloader by pressing volume down + power button
plug the usb cable to the computer/laptop
and then run the shipped rom executable file... when the tricolor screen displays USB at the bottom.
else extract the RUU_signed.nbh or any file with .nbh extension from the shipped file with zip viewers like 7-zip
rename the file to BLACIMG.nbh
Put into the root of memory card
put the phone into bootloader and follow the screen instructions..
And the most important thing... search the forum.. before posting..

I think that you can't reflash even a Original ROM without unlock the phone with new Hard-SPL from Olinex ,considering that you have tried a Hard Reset and nothing happened ,your last option is to unlock the phone and reflash the ship ROM ,or to flash a custom ROM ( is not a good solution if you still have warranty,but still you cand revert your stock SPL:good so ,you have nothing else to lose , all is left for you is to try what i said before . If you don't know how to do it,let me know and i will post the exact links to instructions.

You can try a NAND ROM like the new release of Fagyi. There is an easy step by step manual to installation. You will lose winmo, but you will have a real android.
It looks pretty and he has solved many of the issues of previous versions.

You need to understand what you are going to do or you may end up with a phone that does not work anymore.
