Yes folks... the one you've been waiting for... finally managed to get the patched AMSS to boot... a nice big "up your arse" to Qualcomm.
OK... so, here's the deal... download it, follow the instructions... NO, it won't work for your Kaiser/Artemis/Motorola MR1, so don't ask.
for those of you who are already Hard-SPL (and I mean those of you who didn't manage to completely **** up replugging their USB); you may skip Step 1 by running it, then cancelling the rom update immediately... however, there's really no harm in doing it again, just remember the golden rule:
your PDA *MUST* be in WM and happily synced with the PC BEFORE running each new step.

For a brand new SIMlocked (SFR-like ) Cruise, what would you advised?
CID unlock or SIM unlock first... ? The "better faster stronger ... " (Frenchy Daft Punk reference, as SFR may be the most discussed SIM locker ) method?

EDIT: as this package doesn't include any "readme" file (only includes exe), could you confirm that it does not require any process before? Is Hard-SPL update already included in this new pack?
Another detail: is there a requirement concerning the introduction (or not) of a SD and/or SIM card before updating ? And Sync or Reset (Hard/Soft) ?
A tuto of "what should be avoided" or example of "what should work" would be greatly appreciated!
If you can confirm that with a new original phone, ie. "without Hard-SPL", "without SD" "without SIM" "without reset" and only a USB sync, it's a good solution that should work, I try this ASAP! Thanks!

I was so excited that I couldn't wait for answers...
I tried this new binary, but my PC crashed/rebooted! please help!
I will try to explain as precisely as possible:
First, my system is Windows XP SP2. I was in "user mode" (not admin).
Then I connected my phone in USB, Sync (Ms Active Sync) and ran the PolarisUnlocker.exe.
Step1: I accept to flash Hard-SPL. I agree, and then the bar is displayed with 0%. My Phone asks for "accept the update" I say "yes". Then, the bar on PC is still at 0% and the PC reboots!!! After that crash, the phone is blocked on what should be the Hard-SPL screen? (a 3 color screen Polaris PFG SPL-1.00.1000 CPLD-2 with Replug USB Cable message at the top).
What should I do?
Please help, I'll do my best to give you all the feedback details.

EDIT: It seems that the only thing I can do now is removing the battery to put the Cruise OFF? Should I do a reset, and how? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've no more phone (and of course can't sync anymore to apply the process again)!
Optional question (not really important compared to that crash consequences): Do you have an idea of the crash reason?
Does this PolarisUnlocker includes an update of the ROM and Radio part? If yes, it updates the version to a newer one?

Artemis Unlock Step by Step

This method unlock your CID and SIM.
Instruction:
FIRST THINGS FIRST
REMOVE ANY PIN and LOCK CODES FROM YOUR PHONE BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER
ALSO REMOVE ANY SD CARD ABOVE 2GB
1. Download: Artemis Sim Unlock and files below(it contains all we need)
2. Install WST v4.2.2 setup.exe
2a. Install the 2 cab files to your device Cert_spcs.cab and enable rapi.cab (note It Seems Most people must install "EnableRapi.cab" and "Cert_SPCS.cab" manually so you may aswell do it to save any problems Files below)
3. Launch WST and click on Enable RAPI
4. Click <Repair IMEI> and then enter the new: 355046015665718 (save your current original IMEI before change - you have to go back to it later)
5. Start ARTEMIS_Unlock.exe, when program ask for .unl file, select the xxx.unl (the file select box appears behind dos box)
5. Start WST again, click <Repair IMEI> and change to your original IMEI (don't forget enable rapi button, cab files should still be installed in device)
I can confirm that it works! Few people already unlock their Artemis successfully
Remember! Changing IMEI in many country is illegal! You are doing this at your own risk.

Hi after press Enable Rapi I get message that all is ok but when I press Change Imei i get
Warning!
A device was detected but one (or both) of RAPI
Communications and Applications Policy isn't
enabled.
Use first button for that purpose and try again
I copied manualy RAPI and CERT but still the same. What's wrong?

Then install the two .cab files (EnableRapi and Cert_SPCS) on your device and skip the Enable RAPI step.

when phone screen goes black, watch cmd window, does it say select unl file? yes look behind cmd window there should be a file select box with the unl file in, select it to continue the unlock process

same problem. money was refunded. but it is still not on my visa. seems that nobody works on 1st of january thats why i can't try another service (was adviced by http://mega.sim-unlocker.com). I have a T-Mobile Mega.
The IMEI number on the box is 15 digits
The IMEI number under battery is 15 digits
The IMEI number obtained from the phones Device Information is 17
I used the 15 digit one and got this error I'm also awaiting a reply from them.

i think it's ok! cause the last two digits is 01? i think that's mean that, cellphone is locked. normal imei is 15digits. p.s. what answer are you waiting for? mega.unlock-now.com? p.p.s. i'm still not purchased their code. problem with paymet, but if they work fine, i'll try to solve all problems faster. please post the result here.

Well I had a lengthy round of debate with the support staff who were very responsive and helpful, however nothing worked not even the code they generated from their side, I thought it might be a fault with the phone but even after a hard reset no joy, so I'm returning it and reluctantly sticking to my HTC Hero (Not a fan of Android)
I asked for a refund, but they declined presumably because no one is entirely sure were the fault lies, however the software I originally purchased from then was broken re: "Application Error 3" so I've files a claim with PayPal.
though the process has left me even more sceptical about these unlocking services, most of you guys seem to have got yours working and the support staff were very good they did try everything.

Hey, guys. i wrote the solution a couple of posts above. one service worked with the same error for me. but another sent me working code. if niether of services working, i think there is no solution yet.

This Sim unlocker worked for me, no issues. except that i had problem with auto sync working with vista which is is unrelated really. I was wondering tho now that ive unlocked my phone off tmobile, how do i go about getting everything working, seems i cant go on the internet as its still locked to tmobile, can make calls / messages fine on an O2 sim any help would be HUGELY appriciated

Hi! I just paid for an unlock code for HTC Touch 2 from Orange Romania on mega.sim-unlocker.com. I tried using the software but I keep getting Unknown Application Error 3. The IMEI I gave them is 15 digits... I read it from the box.
Any idea why I get this error? I filed a case with them. I need to get my money back in case they don't unlock my phone. I compared the imei from the box with the one in device info on the phone: they are the same. I typed the 15 digit imei correctly.

[Help] HD2 Stuck "Loading" Flash Stock ROM from SD

First of all let give congratulations to all members of this site and developers for the stuff that bring to us, noobie users all day.
I have two problems with my HTC HD2 and let me try to explain. Sorry my English, im Portuguese. hehe
My story and HTC HD2 starts with one usb charging in my computer and after that the usb for charge and sync never works again. So, my battery went out and i need to buy one in ebay to try flash with original rom leo.
When i start flashing leo with one original rom, it give me an error during update and when i start after that show me a message with a attention signal say "Software update failed! Please try again.".
I try to flash again and the image stucks in "LOADING..."

I can not promise I will be able to help you out here. But for people to better help you it would be nice if you could post what exact ROM you are trying to flash from SD. Also what radio version the Rom has with it. Also you did rename your RUU_signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh right? Also please post what model of HD2 do you have, European, T-Mobile, etc.?

you flashed the wrong stock rom from sd card, it removed hspl and now the stock spl wont allow the rom flash to continue, hence RUU in th upper corner telling you it is in rom update mode.
bootloader - usb - hspl4 - 2.08.hspl - flash a rom.
OR
get a correct stock rom for your phone&region&carrier(your serial number) and flash it over usb, no need for hspl to do this.

ah ok, then get the correct stock rom for your phone, and flash it as leoimg.nbh.
it MUST be the correct stock rom for that phone, not just any stock rom, since any other stock would require hspl, which you cant have.
or, you could make a goldcard. If you have a faulty usb port, (is that the problem?) then a goldcard would be very useful since you cannot use HSPL.

Can you point me for the correct topic of goldcard ?
I dont know if is a faulty usb port because i think this happens because change the a lots of roms and android roms.
I already download the correct rom from htc with my serial. I extract with winzip and put in my class 4 8gb sd and stucks again in loading...

oh right, well 8gb cards rarely work anyway, for a start. certainly wouldnt work for a godlcard.
its not clear from your post, what kind of error do you get when you try to flash , example, hspl.exe through usb?

I have one sdcard 2gb, without any class to. With this i have the same problem.
I dont have any error, the loading stucks...
Trough usb i cant because my phone wont sync with pc at all.

it doesnt need to sync.
when you plug the usb cable in, on bootloader, does 'serial' change to 'usb'?
if yes, run hspl4.exe on the PC.

ahh ok, i think my first stop would be try another PC, and maybe usb cable too, see if it detects a usb connection, if not, then its prob the usb socket itself.

I already try that sam. I think problem is with usb port for flashing to much roms, because the usb port stops working when i try charging in a pc. After that doesnt work anymore.
I already try to see the goldcard but i dont understand much well the method.

well if you can find a working winmo mobile to borrow for 5 minutes, or are lucky enough to have a pci based sd card erader available, you can find the unique ID for an sd card, send it to me with an email address, and ill create you a file which you write (in a special way) to the sd card, and it magically allows you to flash any stock rom using leoimg.nbh.
Like a factory back door, if you will.
(Not sure if it works for custom roms, i dont think so)

i tried flashing android but failed
now i only want to get back to wmo 6.5 but SD-flash doesnt work. Also by USB is impossible because the leo isnt recognized by 3 pcs with 2 different cables.

are you putting teh phone into bootloader? (coloured stripey screen) cos thats where you should usb flash from, when winmo isnt installed. (Well, actually its ALWAYS best to flash from bootloader, ..)

[Q] HTC HD2 ModelID Problem

I hope you can help me with this one.
i have a HTC LEO 512 (NL).
I did the official rom update true the website of HTC NL and that went wrong by upgrading. Now the phone will not exept any Radio, ROM or MAGDLR or what so ever. The HTC logo looks disorderd (white stripes true it) and in de bootloader screen there is no PB81100 but a strange sign and a S.
I tried to use an other battery but no succes.
I didn't try the goldcard method because i don't have the resources en knowledge for it.
However i tried Task28, Task38, Task 2a, Task29 with MTTY and Task29 with new rom from SD card. But it doesn't go any further. I don't know about the kaiser trick maybe that, or goldcard is an idea? or do you have some commands for MTTY for me?
What I CAN do is HSPL4 the phone to any version i want with success ( spl 2.08, hspl 2.08, spl 3.03, hspl 3.03, spl 1.66, hspl1.66, spl 1.42 etc.)
I tried a lot of roms allready. When i use a dutch (NL) one its getting the error afther 1%. When i use a uk or Tmous rom its getting the error by 4%. I'm not able to install Magdlr to test if boot Android from SD method works.
I have an attachment (7z or zip) with important information in it. There is a export of the MTTY commands i did with all the info of the phone itself and some pictures of the error and the very strange sign in the bootloader. (ITS JUST 800kb). I will attach the file within a few ours to this topic.
I hope you guys can help me.
Of course there is a reward for it when its fixed to buy a couple of coffee's or anything else

If these images mach your HD2 then your device I.D. has gotten screwed up from flashing the ROM you flashed. Please post the full ROM name you flashed. Also did you enter your SN into the HTC site to confirm the ROM was for your HD2? I am not sure if it is a way to reset your device I.D. without JTAG. But I am going to send some messages to a couple of people I know and possible make a call to my buddy that works at the local Cell Phone Repair shop to see what I can find out for you as I want to know if you can do it too. Cause you are the second person in a week that I have seen with this problem

I hope there is a mather with goldcard of MTTY mode.
I have 2 HTC hd2 the other one had Bad blocks and don't know how to fix that problem. (there was a litlle bit of water damage in the speaker).
Even boot android from SD in Magdlr doesn't work on that one. I can install magdrl, all roms, all radio's on it. but cannot install system partions (157mb or so) or install rom by CWM or DAF.
maybe also a try with PSAS / REVSKILS goldcard or so to don't use that blocks anymore or something? I will make an other question thread for that.

I have not heard back from any of my contacts yet but a gold card might help you out here. Seeing as you have two HD2s then you can use the other one to make a gold card, or at least I think you can. Biut I am not 100% sure a gold card will work but it is worth a try.

I did check out your zip file and I think your device I.D. is definitly your problem. Also sorry it taken me a while to post back here too. I finally got a reply from my buddy that I e-mailed. He told me that yes inded when you flash with a goldcard it gives the device a GOLD ID 11111111 so it can flash nomatter what. He told me the only thing that will keep a gold card from sucessfully flashing is if you have physical NAND damage or other hardware problems. So typ in "How to make a gold card for HTC HD2" into google and you should find a couple of links to one or two guides here on XDA on how to make one. I would leave some links for you but I am posting on my phone and it sucks trying to post links on my phone.

No still no solution
PLEASE can someone help me? I tried HSPL 2.08, 3.03, 1.42 and 3 soft SPL's
radio does not work and Goldcard method also does not seem to do the trick.
The LEO is not fallen down or has no water damage!

JTAG is your only possible solution. All other methods rely on a valid deviceID, even goldcard.

What is JTAG? Is someone in NL or Germany who can do this for me?

EDIT - let me just add a quick caveat here, , , my last post was pretty direct, , there may be some other option, and/or JTAG may not work, i've never used it, , i'm only basing my reply on 18 months hard reading on here, seeing the same issue several times before, and not having seen any solution ... and i'd hate for you to spend money on jtag and for it not to work.
that being said, if you're prepared to post it, send T'macgnolia a PM, i see him saying that he knows someone who offers the service quite often.
