Help and advice with CID and Artemis Touch 3.01

Ok so I have a O2 orbit with windows mobile 6 offical from their website. But then I seen this:

Thought it looked intresting and wanted to flash my device. Not knowing which version meschle use i thought it was best to unlock my CID first. I used step one in his package and after waitng for over half an hour the command application didnt get past Initalizing.
I then went to here:

And downloaded it directly and tried again, but still exactly the same result.
So now iv downgraded my phone to the original windows mobile 5 ROM that I found again on this site and tried the CID unlocking again but still nothing.
My question is what should I do about this situation ?
Is the meschles ROM based on the O2 original package and will I be ok not CID unlocking ?
Any suggestions on another way I can CID unlock?

No windows XP pro, service pack 2. With all the updates up to today and im logged in as administrator.
Sorry for not adding this and thanks for your reply.

have you deleted any sync'd devices and then plugged your phone in, then when active sync finds the device just press cancel so that it adds the device as guest. this worked for me!

No I didnt do that but I seemed to have got it to work.
I used a different machine which had just been formatted with windows XP service pack 2 and because this software is old, I downloaded activsync 4.2 onto that machine and it worked first go.
Another problem im having which is on both machines now. When I run the RUU, it gets the image version of my phone, but it says upgrade to image version 1.000000 see below.

It happened on version 3.0 and 3.01 from multiple download sources. If you continue it gets to 3% and stops saying file is currupt.
Any help ?
Thanks for everyone who offered help.

Put cert_SPCS and EnableRapi on storage card>zip, then install them.
Then try to flash another time.

Missing...
1. Transfer Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab to your phone
2. Run Cert_SPCS.cab FIRST and EnableRapi.cab SECOND
if there's a popup asking you to allow installation select YES
3. SoftReset your device

Ok finally i got it to work.
I used the other machine that managed to run the application properly. After that process had finished, i started step 2 straight away een though the screen of my phone was white. this worked with no problems. Last time I was restarting the phone to get rid of the white screen.
Never used the above method by coccobabbo, but could you explain it to me ? What are those applications ?
Will use that next time a new ROM comes out.

Anthony: That's basically the same as flashing USPL from the PC, but without a PC. You can also call it "Vista solution"

Yes folks... the one you've been waiting for... finally managed to get the patched AMSS to boot... a nice big "up your arse" to Qualcomm.
OK... so, here's the deal... download it, follow the instructions... NO, it won't work for your Kaiser/Artemis/Motorola MR1, so don't ask.
for those of you who are already Hard-SPL (and I mean those of you who didn't manage to completely **** up replugging their USB); you may skip Step 1 by running it, then cancelling the rom update immediately... however, there's really no harm in doing it again, just remember the golden rule:
your PDA *MUST* be in WM and happily synced with the PC BEFORE running each new step.

For a brand new SIMlocked (SFR-like ) Cruise, what would you advised?
CID unlock or SIM unlock first... ? The "better faster stronger ... " (Frenchy Daft Punk reference, as SFR may be the most discussed SIM locker ) method?

EDIT: as this package doesn't include any "readme" file (only includes exe), could you confirm that it does not require any process before? Is Hard-SPL update already included in this new pack?
Another detail: is there a requirement concerning the introduction (or not) of a SD and/or SIM card before updating ? And Sync or Reset (Hard/Soft) ?
A tuto of "what should be avoided" or example of "what should work" would be greatly appreciated!
If you can confirm that with a new original phone, ie. "without Hard-SPL", "without SD" "without SIM" "without reset" and only a USB sync, it's a good solution that should work, I try this ASAP! Thanks!

I was so excited that I couldn't wait for answers...
I tried this new binary, but my PC crashed/rebooted! please help!
I will try to explain as precisely as possible:
First, my system is Windows XP SP2. I was in "user mode" (not admin).
Then I connected my phone in USB, Sync (Ms Active Sync) and ran the PolarisUnlocker.exe.
Step1: I accept to flash Hard-SPL. I agree, and then the bar is displayed with 0%. My Phone asks for "accept the update" I say "yes". Then, the bar on PC is still at 0% and the PC reboots!!! After that crash, the phone is blocked on what should be the Hard-SPL screen? (a 3 color screen Polaris PFG SPL-1.00.1000 CPLD-2 with Replug USB Cable message at the top).
What should I do?
Please help, I'll do my best to give you all the feedback details.

EDIT: It seems that the only thing I can do now is removing the battery to put the Cruise OFF? Should I do a reset, and how? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've no more phone (and of course can't sync anymore to apply the process again)!
Optional question (not really important compared to that crash consequences): Do you have an idea of the crash reason?
Does this PolarisUnlocker includes an update of the ROM and Radio part? If yes, it updates the version to a newer one?

Harah! Another Solution to the dreaded lock of wp7!

I think I have found another solution. Follow these steps.
1) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 100% BATTERY!!
2) Airplane mode on in wp7.
3) Make sure you have zune installed and have a msn acc signed in before doing step 4
****some people have said that you wouldn't need wp7 sdk tools installed so this is an option you can do IN my case i have the sdk tools installed
4) Disconect all connections on your computer.
***MAKE SURE PORT 443 ISNT BEING USED
*** also in my case i didnt turn off my antivirus (you can if you want to).
5) connect phone to computer and sync it.
6) make sure zune starts up and your phone is showing in zune pc application
7) make sure that your phone isnt locked or the screen isnt off
8) start chevron running with admin priv. *(doesnt have to be in root of c)(i left mine in a folder in desktop)
9) load any app of any choice from other guides
*(i recommend doing the unlock reg hack install FIRST!!! B4 DISCONECTING THE PHONE FROM THE COMPUTER[to keep the phone from relocking its self] and the hd7 reg hack install [if you want to download apps from the market].)

But when i try to deploy a xap file with tom xap installer it says make sure you're phone is unlockend.
Usb cable is connected and zune is running.
All ready did a master reset, turning off wifi and on airplane mode.
Date and time auto is off.
Can any one help me with this?

hate to say it - dont think its as simple as a master reset - think youll need to reformat sd and reflash wp7.
if sd is buggerd, use 'panasonic sd formatter' with 'format size adjustment' on.
then i guess ud need to follow the tried n tested guides on forum to finish off the install

flashed back to 6.5, format the sd.
Then step by step by the book to 7.
Still same error, unlock without a problem but can't deploy a xap to the phone

If your phone is unlocked and you can't deploy with XAP....try Aplication Deployment from Windows Phone Developer Tools (you'll find it in start-all programs-....). XAP gives me errors so I use this tool...and it works like a charm

oh make sure you screen isnt turned off on the actual phone... make sure its on the home screen happened to me too

when i treid this, phone was on home screen and on.
I entert the reg hack on the laptop again to be sure.
But with app deployment i get this error message

I also tried that yesterday.. But i think in order for it to work you need to activate the program from Microsoft!

is there a way to work around that?
I read that more people use the MS program to sideload the apps.
Did the sign in?

actually i installed the wp7 sdk from the microsoft website and didnt activate anything. For me i use the M$ program because it doesnt open with an error like the other sideloading app that i used.

when i try to download an official ROM from http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=1043 it says "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.".
So where can i download stock ROM, and how can i understand wich is for my HD2?

Where's the phone from? Is it a contract phone or bought unbranded? What country?
Go to htc.com, select the country the phone is from, choose support, downloads, filter the list for rom updates, if the phone was contract look for a rom with that network in the name, if not try the rom with HTC in the name. If serial isn't accepted you made a mistake.
There are exceptions, cos some countries must sell phones unlocked, so a contract phone will still take the unbranded rom. Get the country right and start trying downloads till you get serial accepted.

I''ve found the ROM it was from Greece and followed this:
1. Place the LEOIMG.nbh on a 8GB or smaller microSD card. DONE
2. Remove the battery cover and press the Reset button.DONE
3. Hold the Volume Down and End Call (power) buttons at the same time.DONE
4. As soon as "Searching..." appears on the screen, release the Volume Down button. Searching is not showing

Im using 2Gb brand new and formated in FAT32

In that case it must be the leoimg.nbh, extract it again. (not just renaming the .exe are you? Wouldn't be the first)

I have extracted the nbh file and renamed it to LEOIMG.nbh yes! tonight i"ll try leoimg.nbh ...

Hi,
The "serial" should change to "USB".
The main reason this is NOT happening,is when your pc/laptop is missing certain drivers.
These are obtained from Activesync in XP,and WMDC in Windows 7.
Make sure you have the lastest versions,and try again.

4k (4096) alocation size? probably shouldnt matter, but worth checking everything, and since we are checking basics, do a full format, not a quick format.

Hi,
Extract with winrar or 7z the RUU_Leo_HTC_****************************_Ship.exe
find the larger *.nbh file and rename it to leoimg.nbh and place this file on an sd card that is 4gb or less
and reboot to bootloader (the one with 4 colors,hold volume down button until you see "SEARCHING")
follow the instructions from there
If the leoimg.nbh is on the root of your sd card,it will start itself.
Just follow the onscreen instructions.

OK so i got somewhere :
But i"m stuck here for about 20min now ..... and nothing

does you phone got hot during update... try this: take out battery, sim card, memory card and put in fridge for 5-10 min - first put phone in a bag to protect for water, and then immediately try updating again.

It really gets a little hot. And i"ve noticed that when i remove the battery and put it back, connect the charger and light LED turns on but the phone never charges to full .... if it has something to do with the reflash

I am wondering whether this application allows the flashing of all the updates inside a package besides the operating system.
In my case, I do not want to reflash the operating system part and lose all my data - but I would like to do an update for the radio rom (and there's a radiocust too, can you tell me, what it is?)
For some reason, I can not select Task 28 or Task 32, both select boxes are grayed out.
How can I prevent a Task 28 from happening?

HD2owner, slightly out of topic, I've been struggling in order to downgrade my SPL, which is of Orange Switzerland (071), with bootloader 4.60.

I've tried to use this tool, but an error stops me always...
My computer (and the program) cannot recognize my phone, and on my phone, there is no "USB" sign. There is no connection between my phone and the progam. I tried few cables, few USB-ports (I have two ), but nothing at all, it have to be a driver problem. I have a Mozart and a Windows 7 running on a MacBook Air (separately with BootCamp, not virtually).
Can you please help me, where can I get the necessary drivers from?
I've tried all the advices I found on Google, but it didn't help.

I already tried everything, it just not recognizes my phone.
The WMDC says: no connection, if I try to download the drivers through Windows Update, it is not successful...that is why I want to ask somebody kindly to zip me those drivers if it's possible...thank you

You should put your phone in bootloader mode... While shuting down keep Vol down pressed until you see tricolor screen

Okay, thank you for trying to help me, but I'm not a newbie, I red all the related posts, did all the advices... I was rooting and customizing Android devices before so believe me, I can put my phone into SPL mode...I just need that drivers...maybe I try on another computer, I have a clue that the problem is the 64-bit OS...
