flash player for arm v6 - XPERIA X8 General

hello all I'm here to ask if he'd be possible to modify the file libflashplayer.so and silk libysshared.so end it compatible with our arm v6?

impossible

Delete me please

it does it would not change the instruction for arm 7 in the arm of 6?

I just want to say...
When adobe first anounced that they will make an android version, they were aming for arm6 and arm7. Somewhere on adobe site I read that arm6 project was abadon because arm6 version had problems... something like this.
Anyway , it was stupit to close the develop site of arm6 and also they didnt give the code in order other developers to develop it farther, as they are BORED to do it.

or you one could find these sources?

"Adobe said t will optimize Flash for use on ARM architecture (ARMv6 and ARMv7 architectures used in the ARM11 family and the Cortex-A series of processors) and release it in the second half of 2009"
Wiki:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash_Player
"technology optimization is targeted for the ARMv6 and ARMv7architectures"
Original anounced:
http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressreleases/200811/111708ARMAdobeFlash.html

They did not get bored they hit problems so left it for now I.read some where that they will pick it up at a later date
Sent from my X8 using XDA App

... there were problems, but you cant say they wasnt able to get over them... Ok first of all it is free so we cant blame adobe for not developing flash for arm v6.
May be that I am going to say is stupit...., I think there are alternative flash for linux, what about them?

Hmm, I doubt they will work on it anymore because almost all the newer devices use ARMv7/cortex-A8 or newer processors. ARMv6 was the older generation. It's getting outdated.
However, qemu can emulate ARMv7 on ARMv6. So, am guessing porting is indeed possible if you try an emulation layer instead of porting the entire source. Another alternative would be to make a working package of GNASH(open source flash). It's buggier than Adobe Flash but can do more than Flash Lite and something is better than nothing.

I dont think x8 will get ever multytouch.
Doultouch yes, multytouch no.

Did you check the Ubuntu 10.10 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=962023?
It has Firefox with GNASH. I still couldn't get the mountscript to work. It just proceeds to unmount after mount and chroot. :/
But, oh well, here's Flash on ARMv6.

cdma hero DOES flash 10

“The HTC Hero will not be supported [because] it does not have the correct Android OS version and its chipset is not powerful enough. We require a device an ARM v7 (Cortex) processor. Examples include the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and TI OMAP3 series.”
The above statement by adobe reps is confusing since my cdma hero DOES play flash 10. Just thought this was noteworthy, for those hero owners who were not aware of this.
and where's the flash 10 apk flash file at?

The new Sense 2.1 roms have it integrated already. It works suprisingly well. At least well enough to watch a video or something similar.
haha yes it does flash. its useless though alot of times. it also eats cpu and ram and everything so i turn it off when not using for a video. adobe throws bs anyways.
anyone with 2.1 and the internet browser have flash. enjoy

It does not make me stupid to have an opinion. I did read what he said in his post earlier, does that mean everyone besides you will go into his post about his new rom to find out if their hero can utilize flash? Btw we are not in communist russia, take it easy with all the "banning". There's a reason you dont have that type of authority....
Wowee, lots of flaring tempers around these parts...
Anyhow, I, too, followed the same train of thought as the OP. I remember reading that the Hero would not get flash and then was really surprised to see videos loading and even flash ads working. A nice surprise, even if there is a bit of a tradeoff for those god damn flash ads.

how to get flash 10.1working on the hd2

hey, i have flash lite on my phone htc but it does not work. i have download opera mini 5 beta. i want to get flash 10.1 working on the hd2i gone to the flash website and tried to download it for window mobile. i have tried to find cab files for flash 10.1. any help would be very grateful.
10.1 for WM does not exist, and quite possibly never will.
You're wrong Adobe Flash 10.1 will be released for WIndows Phone 7 Series at the end of the year.
Yep, for WP7S, but NOT for WM, as he said.

Sorry, but no, I am not wrong. Flash 10.1 does not exist and never will for WM, and that is still true.
WM is Windows Mobile a.k.a 6.5
Windows Phone is a different thing, and it does not exist on the HD2 either.
It's Microsoft's fault for such a stupid naming convention, and Adobe and Microsoft's fault for being too lazy to make it happen for WM.

Well you would technically be wrong for saying it does not exist. There obviously are builds out there as Adobe has videos up showing Flash 10.1 running on Windows Mobile 6.5
Now will we ever see these builds? Most likely not, but I think adobe should atleast release what they have so far, I mean their work would be wasted otherwise lol.

Oh come on, stop playing with words. It exists, at least in a beta stage, OK, but since then adobe announced they stopped working on it and would not release it. So, to us, it doesn't exist, and simply won't.
Why did they stop working on it? Thats retarded. . . .

Well, officially, it's because they discovered WM6.5 lacks some crucial api's necessary to make it work; but that's obviously a lie. The real reason is because of the announcement that WP7S won't be backwards-compatible with Windows Mobile - that is, nothing designed for WM will run on WP. Adobe, like many others, have therefore abandoned the WM platform and started to develop for WP7S instead.

No they didn't. The HD2 will not get an official upgrade to WP7S; that is now confirmed beyond doubt.
Well, I'm still getting this phone because WM is great.
Plus the potential of android.
Guys! Stop this WP7S upgrade-or-not flameware please! The new Windows is going to be an iPhone-wannabe(it will lack copy paste as well, perfect!). Is current WM6 so bad?
Now, let me answer the thread author: download the latest Opera Mobile(not Mini). Open it's settings, go to advanced and activate plugins. It will play videos, even flash games will run. It flash runs quite good.

EXACLTY MY OPINION. iPhone :
-no copy and paste
-no microSD card
-no multitasking
Any difference between this and WP7 ? NO. Some patent violations are coming Micro$oft's way, LOL. Anyway, the HD2 is really slow. For Flash, you need a BEAST of a CPU, no chance.

there's nothing wrong with being hopefull but being ignorant at the same time is something else.
Adobe cancelled the release for winmo 6.5.x and we are going to have to live with it....well legally speaking.... have faith object xda ,and paitence there will be flash in the future, or buy a Htc Desire if u want flash in april
Okay. We all know that Flash 10.1 DOES exist for the HD2. We've all seen it from adobe from the videos. Admit it. It's just that it has never been released. Will it ever get released? Well, that's just a question if someone fro the inside is willing to leak it to us. If so, WM will live on! Forget WP7S.

[Q] Canabalt Opensourced

Since Canabalt went opensource, is anyone willing to develop a Bada version? (since I'm just a newbie developer )
You know what? i might just give this ago, the Bada 1.2.1 SDK makes implementing flash games as actually packable applications pretty painless so why the hell not. some one point me to the source??

If You need the Flash version, just go to canabalt . com and strip it from there...
its the version where commands include LMB so no further editing would be necessary.
I tried to play that as a swf, but I guess its a newer version of flash, cuz it didnt work.
Let us know about your progress
I wonder could i edit the SWF directly without breaking the terms of the license...
Ill give it a try, (took a look at the sources, might be able to compile it nativly... don't know if i really want to get that deep into it but ill give it a go) to the SDK!
We want canabalt to!

Which are the files/drivers that make the touchpad work?

Something to do with the drivers not being directed at the kernel

Well I tested NOVA 3 and Dead Space since Gameloft and EA games are the chief non-working ones. Both games worked. GTA 3 was a different matter though so it seems only Rockstar games pose an issue in his ROM.
I had issues with games on the Sony Beta ROM, as did Sony. That being the reason for no official ICS release. XDarkmario has fixed this issue that even Sony couldnt work out

@ bamsbax
Just copying the needed files won´t do it since they´re connected to SEMC Framework which is not available on Roms like CM. And porting this would be too much work. Maybe someone can hack those files and make it run on Custom Roms.
That´s the only thing which keeps me from trying different Roms. Maybe devs should work on this matter first before doing a lot of roms (no offense, okay?). Game compatibility is important, especially for this device.

What about Roms ported from other SEMC devices??? Maybe we could try it using roms which are based/ported in neo and arc roms... Their framework is from SEMC so, maybe we could connect those files to it, as you said :

Support for x86 and Arm
It doesn't say "x86". Ubuntu Phone and Tablet is *targeted* at ARM devices so any x86 compiling we need to do ourselves from the source code they released. But we also need drivers for that, a dev (or a few devs) that's willing to port it and compile it for our x86 and we need someone to port over all ARM apps that are currently being created by third party developers.
Also, we need to adjust the touchscreen because the launcher is hard to reach with no bezel. I've been running Ubuntu Phone Experience on my Razr i for some weeks now and it's hard to detect because you really need to trigger the bezel so that's gonna need some work too after the port's done.
