Please help me and my MDA!!!!!

I was updating my MDA to WM6 when my computer froze in the middle of updating, so i unhooked the MDA and resset it, now its stuck on the splash screen!!!! no matter what I do! and activesync will not recogizine it also!! ive tried hard reset be all its saying issomething about a FAT partition, it can still go into bootloader mode so i know its not bricked, its a G3 model...SOmeone PLEASE help!!!!!

Read the wiki for wizard, I am sure God will help u if u help urself. I think it can be restored by going into the bootloader.

Thanks, did some reading and solved it, but than i wanted a new rom and when i installed it I started and it stuck at splashscreen again, only now hard reset fails and now matter what original tmobile rom i flash it to its still stuck!!! Please help!

What steps have you taken, and where are you stuck at now? Can you bring it into bootloader mode? What IPL/SPL? You said its G3, is it CID unlocked?

So far i have flashed it with the original Tmobile rom and some others through the bootloader mode, but even after it says flash completed I still get stuck on the splash screen, my ip/spl are both 2.26, and it is CID locked, and at the time i dont had a mini sd card to perform an sd rom upgrade, god i wish i just stuck with my original rom, please help!

So you've flashed back the oroginal tmobile rom, is that also 2.26? I presume you are using the standard update util for the flash and it says completed? I've seen the update util do that (say 100% complete but not actually update anything) .. this behaviour is documented somewhere in this forum (took me about 8 flashes and a lot of confusion and frustration before I found the forum threads!) this only happened on a CID locked phone flashing a custom rom.. i don't think that happens with original vendor roms..
Can't say I have had the same problem. From looking at the forum, most people who get stuck like this can flash the wizard love rom and get back on. For me, I have mostly been able to get back to the original rom when needed, except when I bricked my G4 phone (before G3/G4 was well understood)...

Yes sir that is also a 2.26 and yes im using the standerd methodhat is this wiazrd love rom your talking about though? Maybe i should flash it to that instead of the original tmobile rom?

p.s if this only happens on cid locked phones, is there anyway to unlock my cid while in bootloader mode?

Like I said I had not used it myself, but there are many references to it in the forums.
When you say you are stuck, does it load the Windows splash screen or does it get stuck on the IPL/SPL screen?

No you can't CID unlock in bootloader mode.. there are a number of threads on how to CID unlock...

Only that by all accounts, you should be able to get a working phone again if you can get into bootloader mode.. unless you have hardware issues. The other item that may be of problem is the extended rom which can get corrupted.

Error 270

I really hate to make a bad first impression but...
No matter what I do I get this error. I was trying to HARDSPL the phone, I put it into boot loader mode, I installed all the .cab's . It starts the progress bar up gets to about 3% and the phone screen goes black and restarts and then ERROR 270 shows up in the RUU. I searched around but found nothing for the Herald about it. Just asking for any help as to what I can do.

Have you tried going to start/system/usb to pc and enable advanced network functionality? What rom are you running?

ok that was disabled. I enabled it, same problem.
Seems to be running Open Touch 5.0.
Just bought it off ebay.

Ok think I got it. Seems to be very hard to find a newbie guide for first timers of this sort of thing.
Found some files by ivanmmj and sifted through them. Found a USPL program that SID unlocked the phone, after that I was able to run HARD SPL, and everything was fine. Now my next step is to try to flash a ROM on it , wish me luck.
Think after all this work I'm going to try to write a guide for first timers like me to explain this stuff a little better.

If it had OpenTouch 5.0, it might have already been HardSPLed. Either way, I'm glad you found the answer yourself. It shows that you actually did your research.

That's really not a bad idea. I know I was EXTREMELY confused the first time I flashed my rom. It took me a lot of reading to finally understand RUU stood for rom update utility. You do know for some roms, it's not necessary to hard spl. I went from stock rom to open touch 3.0. What rom are you thinking about flashing to?

Just downloaded ivan's kitchen , but I'm having problems getting it to run. Going to use that to probably make my own and get used to the programs that are out there.

Stuck stuck STUCK in bootloader - help!

My problem here is that I just cannot get out of bootloader. NO ROM OR RADIO WILL INSTALL ON MY DEVICE.
I've tried using goldcard and attempting numerous .nbh files and each time the update fails on the Radio_V2 part. I've also tried updating with the standard and custom RUUs and these always fail at 91%. the RUU always says 'Error 270....update error...the image file is corrupted' no matter which ROM I use.
Updating the radio only stalls at 96% and gets stuck there.
Currently my bootloader says 'Update ROM code error Please try again. See the attached photo for a screenshot. I am able to connect to a pc ok and run updates.
Ive also tried a hard reset, which WORKS but still doesn't boot up the device.
Can anyone help here? If not it looks like my HD2 is going on eBay for spares!

My SPL is version 1.42

I've no idea bro, it's an eBay purchase from before the general release of the device.

I hear the hacked hardspl and sspl is nearly done so maybe this will help you to upgrade the rom?
Have you checked you have not brought some prototype or something as your spl version is way out.
Hope you get it fixed very soon.

There is something wrong with you..
And an interesting point: your bootloader is different from mine, my updare process shows % progress in number and HTC logo behind the progress bar, yours is different..

i think he as used some hd stuff,not compatible with leo of course

maybe because it's a pre-release (prototype) unit you can't update it to a newer rom

it does sound like a prototype...
shouldnt need gold card.
have you tried flashing from sdcard without gold card in there?
try talking nicely to cmonex to see if she can help?

This looks like corrupted sectors in your device, try mtty, I think i seen similar problem before in herm or diamond
please searh the forum this one of them but try to find later version of mtty

try flashing without NK.nbf
Try flashing without the radio upgrade by removing the file mentioned in
the title (nk.nbf) from the folder where RUU.exe is exectuted (you might need to hunt fot the install files in the temporrary directories in your computer. The temp files are created after clicking the update.
Anyway, you're a senior You'll know what to so.
If there's no separate radio file for you, I would try taking the batt out,
then do a hard reset.

Try to flash using an official rom!! If You stil don't get through take off the battery for a couple hours then try again!! But If all this don't help, you'd better try to reflash with the rom you had previously

You used a MFG SPL = Developer SPL. Ask cmonex in the IRC for help. She works with the developer spl for hacking the spl.

Connect your phone to the PC using MTTY.
Send "set 14 0" (without quotes) and then task 8 to reboot.
Try if it works.

Don't use it for spareparts..
I'm assuming you bought the phone?... Send it for repairs, they don't ask what you did. Just say you did a hard reset and this happend.. Believe me, they don't care at the repair shop (for sure @ eurotwice.be), great service they pickit up @ your door If you lost the receipt p.m. me

Just fired up the HD2 to try out some MTTY commands and the boot screen has fired up. This is the first time it's not gone straight to bootloader.
I will await the device possibly kicking into life......fingers crossed.

Phone cant see SIM card

It was working and then all of a sudden I could not get a data connection..after a soft reset I could not get the phone out of flight mode..it would turn on wifi and blutooth but not data or phone radio. It acted like it could not read the SIM card. I could not even pull up my contacts list stored on the SIM card. I put the SIM in another phone and everything works.
I had no event that would have damaged the phone (drop etc..) so is it possible its a software issue? I did reflash a few ROM's but none would get it to work.
Has anyone had this happen to them? should I try to take the phone apart?

trying to reflash radio rom
OK I got an idea to try and reflash the radio ROM (1.58) in hopes that it would clear up my issue. I'm having a problem with this ..it will hang at the 0% progress (shown on the computer and the phone) and after a time error out. I then have to reflash the OS ROM and start all over...I have done this a few time with that same result. I even tried to use the older 1.57 radio ROM with the same results.
Anyone have any ideas on how i can get the radio flash to work?

it seems like any flashing that tries to acces the radio portion of the ROM will not work..I get a error code 262 - loss of communication every time i try and flash any radio rom, I even tried to run the unlocker because one of the steps is to patch the radio rom ..but still get the same error..only this time it will go all the way to 99% bfr i get the error.
After all that I still have to reflash a OS ROM (currently 6.1 RO one) and everything still works great except for I cant turn on my radio for the phone and data.
Anyone have any idea how i can overcome this?
One idea i had was to roll back to the spl 1.2 ROM's but wanted to get some feedback bfr I do that..if it would even be worth trying.

I decided to try and run the SPL downgrader. I flashed the ROM to prep ..all went OK ..then tried to run the SPLDowngrader.exe and when it got to the point where i see the progress in % it said:
Found SPL v1.20
Download SPL before v3.03
is not allowed!
Now I dont know what to do..please any help from anyone??
I was running the 3.5 SPL 6.1 RO ROM ..and never downgraded til now. Wes it because i was trying to run the unlocker earlier that may have messed something up?
Right now when i put it in boot loader (no choice its just that way after my failed attempt to downgrade) it shows:
ATHE100
IPL-v2.02
ATHE100 MFG
SPL-v3.50. OliNex
I may be able to reflash a 3.50 SPL ROM and get it back up and running but want to hold off to see if anyone knows more about how to fix it.

I tried that and it started OK and even tried to load ..the progress bar showed about 1/8th of it loaded then it just stops...the phone stays that way saying "In Progress.." but will not load any more. I pulled out the battery and put on a 3.5 ROM to flash from the SD card..it works no problem..I even can flash a 1.2 ROM for some reason and it works no problem...but I cant flash the radio ROM (tried 1.58 and 1.57) they will start and load only a little way then just stop.
Anyone have any other ideas? Is there a way to run the unlocker from the SD card? I feel like i'm getting further using that approach than with activesync.

Possibly Bricked my HD2 -

Ok, so here is my issue.
I was trying to download a new ROM to install in my device after installing to the new unofficial T-MoUS ROM. I tried the ROM out and didn't like it so I went back to the stock ROM and from there flashed HSPL but kept having issues with my device not being recognized by the USB connection. Finally got it done and went to flash a new radio.
Found a Radio, but I think I forgot to install it cause I was distracted, and went to install a ROM (Omega I think) and it said installed and after that wouldn't boot up.
Here is where I am stuck at. I can enter the bootloader, and it will restore but then it gets stuck on the Stay Together screen or whatever it says but won't go any further. I did a little searching and found some info on doing a Task 29, but am clueless about whether this works since it seems it is something done before a phone is bricked.
Anyway, any experienced members have any ideas or should I just go ahead and call T-Mobile and invoke my warranty? I'm stubborn and tenacious so I want to try to fix this on my own.

I don't call this bricked, since it actually will load to the bootloader and is thus flashable. I have been stuck on the "Stick Together" screen before and was able to fix it by flashing a ROM I knew was working via microSD.
