8125 Unknown device already have ActiveSync - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Good day.
I just got my 8125 pocket pc and I wanted to synch it for the first time, but I've had no luck.
I already installed ActiveSync and no luck at all, I already tried installing the drivers from a specific location for the phone it does not recognize it, I tried numerous things. I tried Active Sync 4.2, 4.5 and 4.5 beta 2. I have copied the driver files from the Active Sync folder to the system 32 driver folder as well, and have uninstalled and reinstalled Active Sync along with the cellphone being hard resetted with the 3 different versions. Now I have tried that with 2 differentes cables which both of them work with other devices perfectly, I also have tried those 3 different versions on 3 different computers.. and no luck.
I have wanted to try to reflash the rom with the newest one from htc's website but can't as I cannot synch it.
Rom version: 2.25.11.1
The rom date says 5/11/06
the extrom is 2.25.11.102
I don't know what else to tell you or give information about, all I know is I want my computer to recognize it so i can unlock it and start using it.
Now I have read on other websites the device can probably be corrupted for the computer not to know what it is, if this is the case how can I be sure before I ask for warranty or so?
Thanks.

AdaptROM unable to connect

I can't figure out why AdaptROM cannot connect to my XDA. I am running Active Sync 3.7 on Windows XP pro. I have Norton Anti-Virus and several other applications that are always running. I have tried disabling all of them and it didn't make any difference. I am running the new T-Mo WME2003 and the new 6.4 radio stack on my SX-56. It syncs just fine with the PC and has a pairing relaitionship set up.
Neither AdaptRom or any of the .exe upgrade programs, nor Mobipassword can connect to my XDA. Anyone have any ideas why this might be? I have tired using a serial cable and the USB cradle and changing the connection settings. When I originally upgraded it way back when to the ATTWS SX-56 PPCE2002 rom it worked just fine. I hadn't tried it since.
The only thing I can think of is a registry setting being hosed up. I am going to try uninstalling active sync and reinstalling and see if that makes a difference.
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I tried removing and reinstalling Ative Sync and it didn't have any effect. Both programs show an Active Sync error cannot connect to device.
It's as if something must have the port tied up.
Same Here
I upgraded to the 4.00.10 rom on my xda but I can't get either adaptrom or Programme A to run so that I can downgrade the device or reflash it.
Any help would be appreciated as I don't have access to an sd card writer.

I had the same problem U had before. the best solution is to buy a SDcard reader to do the job.

Good luck
I noticed that the 3.x CE developer environment also cannot connect
to a 2003 device.

Could this mean that some supporting files are missing from the T-Mobile rom? If somebody could get a list of all the files that are different between the 4.00.05 and the 4.00.10 roms then it might point to something...
You can try another hard reset of your xda. That happened to me about a month ago and a hard reset fixed it. Unfortunately I had to create a new relationship etc.. - Jim

Qtek S200 Active sync not working Drivers needed

Hello all,
I have bought qtek S200 recently and i have spent a lot of man hours trying to get this thing to sync with my desktop computer. it works fine with my laptop however doesn't want to sync with my desktop.
I get an new hardware wizard when i plug my pda into the USB requests for me to point to the drivers because windows was unable to find drivers.. I have gone through troubleshooting steps where disabling firewall / ant virus. Uninstalling active sync reinstalling / downgrading active sync and upgrading no luck. doesn’t matter if i try 3.8 or 4.2 it doesn't want to recognize my device and asks for the drivers.
i have windows xp with service pack 2 installed. so at this point i am wondering if someone has the driver files for it ? or what should be next step, any help would be appreciated.
Don't even try with activesync 3.8. It doesn't support WM5. Use 4.1 or 4.2...
Can't help beyond that...
I tought I had tried everything as well, when I found this utility over at Modaco (apparently included in the latest Dopod ROM).
Install and switch from RNDIS to Serial using the program and voila - worked like a charm for me!
Hope it helps!
After fighting with this device and my system for about 2 weeks. i noticed that my system had become so unstable that it wont' accept any new hardware. I tried installing a new 3COM network card and mostly 3com NIC's dont' require drivers however my system poped a window stating can't find drivers and put the device in system not working properly status.
so then i decided to format my computer and after the format, installed service pack 2 for xp and tried ACTIVE SYNC. without a problem it worked fine.

Active Sync wont start :-(

Ive always been able to connect my S100 to my PC and Active Sync has automaticly started up asking me what kind of connection I want (Guest or Standard) But now it wont work.
It still charges through the USB and when Windows finds the device but Active synd doesnt. (Im running latest version from MS)
I've un- and reinstalled Active Sync
I've tried different USB-ports
I've tried different USB-Cables
I've tried different computers (wont work there either)
I've rebooted the device
It must be something in my S100
Please help!
Thanx in advance

Everything all right
Are u using the same version of Active sync that came bundled with your device?
If yes TRY THE UPDATED VERSION
If NO, Try the PREVIOUS VERSION.
maybe there is something wrong in one of the connecting Pins In the cradle/Socket of the cable
How do I update software in the device, when I cannot sync?
Ive tried different software in my PC. None worked.
Im not sure its a HW-failure in the cable, since I tried different ones..
It could be in the device, Im not sure how to check though.

What version of ActiveSync has worked for you up until now?
Try an older version of AS:
3.8: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync38.mspx
Oh I solved it....by making a hard reset - SURPRICE!
What a crap device this is...
That almost always does the trick....sometimes my MDA II will act really weird and a soft or even a hard reset will fix a seemingly incompatible app.

Polaris Connection Problem

Hi,
Two months ago I've upgraded the ROM of my Polaris. At beginning I've got some problem in use ActiveSync (windows XP) or Mobile Center (Vista), after two or three try it worked. But now there is no way to connect the Polaris with any computer (I've tried 4 different computer with different version of Windows). I always get the message that the USB device is not recognized. Even Bluetooth does not work. I've tried all methods and hard reset the device several times, install and uninstall ActiveSync/Mobile Center no way to get connected. The situation become worst because the phone stopped working. So, please, could someone help me in trying to connect the Polaris with the PC?
The ROM that is installed is:
R 1.58.21.23
G 25.65.30.04H
D 1.52 PQ015

Repair you Polaris. Its hardware error with connection jack.
Ok,
I was wondering that could be a hardware problem, but expected that could solve the problem by using another ROM version. In fact, I've a big problem... Polaris is not sold in my country and I has no technical support for it . I brought it abroad. Anyway, thanks for your reply

synchronization problem with pc

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my HTC Kaiser II with WM 6.1 features:
- Version ROM : 3.29.408.0 ITA
- Date of ROM : 05/07/08
- Version of RADIO: 1.65.16.25
- Version of product: 25.83.40.02H
When I connect it to the PC does not recognize it and show the following message "USB Device Not Recognized".
Can someone help me.
Thanks
More Information may help get an answer.
What Operating System are you using? What sync software? (Activesync? Windows Mobile Device Center? Other?)
WM6.1 is an older device platform. Have you been able to sync with PC before?
If yes, what has changed? (New PC, new OS?)
If you just got this device and have never synced it before, are you sure the cable and socket are in good working order?
The OS used is Windows XP Professional, use Activesync to connect.
I had problems with my Kayser and I had to do a hard reset on it.
Previously I could connect it to myPC.
Thanks for the reply
I hope you had a recent backup to restore from after the hard reset.
I seem to remember hard reset causing that problem for me under XP. You could try uninstalling ActiveSync and reinstalling it.
Microsoft still has it for download if you need a fresh copy:

Yes, I restored the latest backup.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveSync but the problem remains.
Thanks again for your time
