Speaker Issue - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

The official HTC site states that the Tytn speaker has a known hardware issue. Does anyone know if a ROM update will resolve this issue? I am in the US using Cingular service and I don't believe HTC has a local repair center.

A software update won't be able to repair hardware issues.

GPRS-problem

I have a problem with GPRS.
I can always connect after soft-reset. But if I try to connect again later, without resetting first, I often get error messages;
"Cannot connect for unknown reason."
"Modem not responding".
"Answering modem disconnected".
Only way to establish a new connection is to soft-reset or go into flight-mode and back. Anyone experienced similar problems? Seems like the hardware goes bad / gets disabled after one session...
(I use Vodafone in Sweden.)
I have the exact same problem on my S100 with the 1.06 ROM and can not find a solution. I e-mailed Qtek who forwarded it to Brightpoint to told me they don't know anything about it.
Brightpoint Sweden are well aware of the issue and have said it is a top level priority for HTC to sort this out and that it should hopefully be solved with the next firmware release. No date for that release available yet :-(

Ok, seems like a major defect. Just have to sit back and wait I guess.
Thanks!

It would probably be a lot better if everyone who has this issue contacted Brightpoint and made them aware how many it is affecting!
Contact details for Brightpoint Sweden are available at www.qtek.se.
With me being in the US Brightpoint didn't really have much to say to me.

Hi Jason,
Thank you for your e-mail but we are not the manufacture of Qtek.
We only represent and support the Swedish market. Please contact your local retailer for support and information about upgrades for your device.
Best regards,
Linda

My problem seems to have automatically cured itself during the weekend. I guess Telia must have made some upgrade to their network, cause I am quite sure I didn't do anything!

USA Contact Info for HTC Tech Support?

Hi all,
I'm trying to find the telephone number to call HTC to discuss the alignment problem with my TyTN. When I look at the USA site, it says to call your carrier, but obviously the US carriers don't have this phone.
Any ideas on a good number to call?
Thanks!
Chris
I e-mailed HTC USA regarding their ability to repair the HTC. They replied that since the TyTN is not officially marketed in the USA they are not yet prepared to repair them. They went on to say that a repair center will be opening soon in Houston.
I am in the same boat. I took delivery of a TyTN last week and the screen alignment problem surfaced yesterday. I e-mailed HTC Europe this morning and received a canned response that this was a known issue and that I would need to send the complete boxed package with all parts to the HTC repair center in the U.K.
The HTC USA website is www.htcusainc.com. Telephone numbers and the CSR e-mail address is on the Contact Us page. Good Luck!

Cellular signal weak

Hi Guys!
I have Touch cruise 2 mounth and suddenly lose signal.
My network signal one bar and dissapear in-room.I was sent device to repair center and unit come back with the same issue.
What can I do?
Somebody have similar problem?
Yes - several times this issue was raised, in several cases the problem was fixed by repairing service and in other it was fixed by updating radio rom.
My suggestion is to upgrade to the official WM6.1 ROM that come with newer radio ROM.
Strange to have this issue on a stock radio.
If all else fails you can try the Murata radio. It has solved signal issues for many. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=389601&highlight=murata

Network Signall OK But No IN/OUT Calls or SMS

Hello! For the people who has this problem the only solution that i have found and the explanation of the problem that came from HTC is that there is a known problem with the RADIO hardware and that the IC needs to be replaced. The Tech people at HTC told me right away what the solution was... so i think that besides replacing Motherboard you can try to change IMEI (check your local law first) to see if its not related to that. Upgrading, Dowongrading radio version doesnt seem to mather. If someone has found the solution please post so we can all live happy!!

3G problem

Hi! I have problems with my 3G/hsdpa connection, so I decide to flash radio 1.58.21.23 and...the link is dead. Can anyone help me, please?
Hi, I'm from Rome too and I also had your problem.
I solved this issue by delivering the unit to technical assistance center and HTC has changed the GSM/UMTS module of my shift.
If you're interested you can contact me directly so I can give you the address of the technical assistance center in Rome.
Kind regards,
