How to identify head unit - Android Head-Units

Hi members,
Long time no see !
I have bought an android unit 8.8" for an Audi A5 (for a friend) and the harness is not compatible with the car. The seller-on ebay- is not answering anymore, so I need some help to solve the problem. They described it as a Junsun unit, with 4gb/64g and android 10, but i couldn't start it. I have some pictures with the unit and the harness, maybe I can make the connection myself.
What would help me would be the pinout for both 32 pin white connector and for audi 20 pin AC connector.
Thanks for your help!

Any help? Any advice? I cannot solve this one. Thanks in advance!

There are a lot of fake Junsun head units on ebay. I think best is to return the device and buy from a trustable seller.

Thanks for your answer! Actually, I cannot return the unit because I saw very late that is not the same harness. Where can I find the pinout for my 32 pin white connector? I think it is standard one

Sounds like a (not so) funny project.
Another approach may be to re-engineer the pins of the head unit by using the pinout of a compatible car and the wiring harness shipped with the head unit.

OEM GPS Antenna on Android Headunit (Joying)

Hello,
My new 2GB RAM with the Intel SoFIA CPU will be delivered at the end of this week. I am going to install it in my 2010 Subaru WRX STI which already has a GPS Antenna installed (which has worked very well with stock and other aftermarket units).
Unfortunately the connector of the OEM GPS Antenna is quite different from the connection on my soon to arrive Joying unit. I was therefore wondering if it is possible to connect my OEM GPS Antenna using an adapter cable similar to this:
car-solutions.com/nfs/product/832612/image/800/Adapter-for-OEM-GPS-Antenna-Connection-in-Toyota-Lexus-Subaru-Mazda.jpg (sorry not able to post outside links yet)
Has anybody tried this or does anybody know if this could even technically work?
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Robert
You get a antenna with the unit right? {EDIT} Sorry, i see you want your own working, but i can garanty you the gps antenna that comes with it is fine!
i used this adapter for my Jeep to Joying:

works great

Yeah, you get an antenna with the unit and I have already hooked it up for testing and as you say it works. Using the original one is a lot more neat and tidy

Thanks, I have ordered an GT5-1PP M grey to SMA male adapter cable from eBay. Hope it fits as I am not a 100% sure if this is the right connector, closest thing I could find though. :good:

(Pioneer) Avic to Xtrons GPS (Fakra?)

I recently got the Xtrons TE706PL in my car, however I didn't build in the GPS unit yet.
This is because I already have a Pioneer GPS Antenna installed (JVC Headunit), however this is using the Pioneer AVIC connector. Does anyone know if it's possible to convert the Pioneer AVIC to the Fakra connector? This safes me a lot of trouble
Impossible?

That's was one of adapters i found in 2 seconds google search, with little time for sure you can find a solution that suit you; they cost little money so you can buy and test by yourself.
Have a nice day!

But ofcourse I've been Googling, I'm not an idiot However, this is the wrong way around, I need AVIC to FAKRA, which I'm unable to find.

If you not find something usefull you can always buy a small piece of 50 ohms coaxial cable, 1 fakra and 1 avic connector and crimp together, maybe the cheap solution

Toyota RAV4 - PX6 4/64 - No reverse trigger

Hello,
I am installing my head unit and everything Canbus related work, such as door open, HVAC info and steering wheel control. However when I put my car into reverse, the head unit does not do anything at all. I tried swapping camera source plug into the AV-IN and the camera does have power and signal, but for some reason my head unit is not switching into reverse camera. Does anyone have any idea what I may be doing wrong?
Thank you

Ask seller/manufacturer....usually reverse signal comes from canbus.
Check your wires if reverse wire is connected to anywhere.

Did you connect the two wire cable with a 6 or 8 pin connector together? These two wires branch from the canbus to the “power” harness of the head unit

Hi from the canbus I have 6 connectors 5 that connect exactly to the cables of the machine the last one that is left is a 4-wire branch of the rear-view camera connector.
Did you hit a photo of when you placed it?

I’m talking about this small connector with 6 pins however it only has two wires (orange and green) and from the black plug it’s the female version of the 6 pin connector and it has blue and white wires. I believe this powers the canbus.
I’m still having issues figuring out how to trigger reverse. Have you had any success contacting Kunfine, the seller?

I wrote to him in these days but he replies with a pre-established message that in short says that because of the coronavirus they do not leave the house and therefore to be patient.
Anyway I understood which wires you talk about yes I connected them but nothing, my radio to connect the canbus connector has a female female reducer which serves on one side to the canbus and on the other the connector of the radio, I think there are wrong cables in this passage
I found the schematics of the 28 pin connector and I managed to make the rear view camera work for the steering wheel controls I will take more time to avoid damage

Hello Venum83,
Would you be able to share how you got the camera to work? My camera physically has power and can output video when connected to AV-IN, but the head unit won’t go into reverse when I shift to R. Did you manage to solve that?
Thank you
Look the Pm

Hi Venum83,
Are you willing to share the solution that you applied?
thanks a lot
Had the exact same issue with my Kia Sorento, what I did to fix it was, take the Reverse Power cable that was not connected, and then added the power cable from the reverse camera, it worked like a charm, if you post pictures of your system I might be able to point it out for you. Took me less than 5 minutes. Same kunfine unit

Android Head unit in a MK4 caddy with canbus

Hi guys
Hoping someone here can help. I bought a cheap android head unit from eBay and it came with a quadlock adapter and iso adapter but neither fit my MK4 caddy. See picture attached of my quadlock compared to what arrived.
Anyone have an idea on how to get these connected?

Ossuret S8 8G+128G How to Wire Fan?

Hello,
I bought my first android head unit, the Ossuret S8 8G+128G. It came with a fan attached to the back of the unit. There is no direct connection on the back for the included fan and the wiring diagram doesn't show specifically where to connect the fan to.
Attached is a pic of the back of the unit with the wiring diagram. Can someone please advise how to wire up the fan?
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
Post Android system information including MCU version
Also what does seller suggest and what has been tried
SOLVED. I spoke too soon, I was looking at the wiring diagram before looking at the wiring. The supplier has included a fan connection in the wiring bundle.
