So I really want a table that supports Ubuntu Touch and saw Ubuntu Touch works on the regular M10. Has anyone been able to use that Ubuntu Touch installer on the M10 Plus? The specs for the Plus are just that much better.
Thanks!
That would be awesome!

Not that I have a problem with android ICS, just curious..
will windows 8 have the ability to run on our thinkpad tablets?
Is there hardware differences between the Android and the projected windows model coming out in the future?
Thanks for the insight...
Windows 8 RT (arm version) is locked down really tight, I hear rumors of encrypted bootloader on the devices similar to ours on the TPT (256 bit encryption) to stop people from doing just this. so short answer no, you'll just have to buy a windows 8 slate if you want one. or hope that Secure boot keys start falling out of the sky
How about waiting for Android x86 alongside Windows 8 on the TPT 2 (though it didnt look like it had a pen, AARRRGGGG!)
That would be most excellent I have dreamed about something like that, if you aren't looking for the whole amazing android UI you can run Blue stacks, its pretty damn good for a beta and i run it on my Dell XT2 tablet, it has an n-trig digitizer just like the TPT and works decently well.
did any try this????

Will the go HP touchpad be capable of running Ubuntu and will it get a port?

The HP Touchpad already has a native port of Ubuntu 11.10, 12.04, 12.10 and 13.04 (the latest being the most stable). I don't think Ubuntu for Phones will come to the Touchpad anytime soon because it's aimed at smartphones so not really at tablets with a 9.7 inch screen. Who knows what it'll look like (images of Android 2.3 on tablets pop up in my mind now lol). But if you mean spec-wise, than it's more than capable since it meets the minimum requirements by far.
looking forward to this, a full featured ubuntu phone would be much more useful then the current desktop version ports which are nearly unusible.
I was thinking on the lines of the phone os

The tablet version of Ubuntu Phone may get ported over but it requires at least 2 GB RAM (Nexus 7 and 10 excluded) and the HP Touchpad isn't really new hardware anymore so I'm not sure how fast it will run. Even the native port of 13.04 runs sluggish (albeit usable). The only thing running smooth and fast is the default webOS (which I still enjoy every day even though I'm an Ubuntu desktop user) but that's made for it so... But maybe someone can optimize it, it will be open source after all so it may run on the Touchpad albeit a bit laggy but useable. But we need the devs for that that currently maintain the 12.10 and 13.04 ports.
I think android Is running smooth in my opinion better than web os I'm using schizoid jellybean. I don't think Ubuntu will run all that smoothly but I'm sure there will be a port of some kind. A triple boot of web is android and Ubuntu would be nice

Hey everyone, I'm considering on buying the Fire HD 8 with alexa, but I was wondering if multi window is available on it since I use it quite a lot.
I've not seen 'multi windows' yet. At least not on a tablet from Amazon. The only thing I can think of that might be close, but likely way off, is dual screen. You can project your screen over your screen...like split screen except you can move it around. That is one of the awesome features that's supposed to come with screen mirroring aka Wireless Display.
Nope. Its a Android N 7.x Feature. I think all Amazon Tablets are running 5.1.1
My Fire HD8 2017 (gen7) is running douglas-user 5.1.1 LVY48F 50.5.7.9_user_579225620

I prefer skyolin helper http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.skyolin.helper
I tried using Wacom tablet with OTG but it did not work out. As per some some threads I found it says Wacom drivers are pre-installed in Nougat and it worked with some Nexus devices. Any idea how to get it working this device ?
PS: I have a rooted device.
Hi, i just made my account today
Anyways, i saw Ubuntu Touch the other day and i got instantly hooked, i really want it on my Galaxy J320F but nobody has ported Ubuntu Touch to the phone and i even want to know if its even possible.
If yes, i will try and port it and post the result on this post.
Porting ubuntu touch for SD phones are hard, and makes the phone slower, now for the spreadtrum/exynos will be more harder due to incompatibility or being super slow.
i dont think it will be possible.
