Help with changing default auto power off time - Android TV General

Hello all, first thank you in advance for any help.
My tv have 4 options for auto power off (Never, 2 hours, 4 and 8).
I set it up to Never.
Every time I disconnect it from power supply it runs again to 4h by default, is there any way to change that
programming to run as Never by default after power reconnect?
I have an upgrade bin file but don't know how to edit it.
Thank you in advance

How can I change the timeout for Automatic system lock

Hi
I have an XDA Exec, and as I am using it with our corporate email system (with Push email) our IT guys insist on the PDA locking after 15 minutes of non-use ... OK so far...
The problem I have is that I use my XDA as my SatNav as well, and this means that it often locks itself as I'm driving down the motorway!!
The option to change the timeout is greyed out, so I cannot change it via the normal user interface, so I guess I need to change some registry setting somewhere .... can any of you guys point me in the right direction???
Just a gentle nudge... this forum is buzzing at the moment!!!
It takes it's setting from your corporate policy, and every time you connect it will reset anything you change in your registry.
There is however a cab that specifically stops it locking while awake on external power, and auto lock as soon as you switch of or close the lid.
Might fix your issue.
Thanks AlanJC.... I'll give it a go
It is not working for me.

Why alarm doesn't wake me up if Xperia is off?

Hello! I'm new but I have a big problem. In the enening when I go to bed I often turn off my Experia so I'm not interrupted at night and I can save my baterry. But the problem is that alarm in the morning doesn't want to ring and doesn't want to turn Xperia on back. I found recently the page on the web where somenoe said that it needs to be doen some hidden tweaks so that the WM doesn't try to look how full the baterry is before it sturts up. I can't find that page on the web again so can someone help me with this settings?
Than you.
use flight mode.
x1 cant wake up when off
I don't think any Windows Mobile phone is capable of waking itself up when it's powered down.
you probably use just as much power turning the phone on as you would have used leaving it in stand by..... just sayin'
OK, so I have tried flight mode and it works but anyway does anyone know the hidden settings to change verifiing battery from wm before it turns on again?
Oh, and another problem on my Xperia. I noticed that when I don't use it the screen (backlight) aproximetely every once in 2 minutes turns on again (my power settings are: turn backlight off after 30 sec, standby mode after 1 minute). I think that why battery last only 3 days. Can anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Change your configuration : Settings / system/ ilumination (check here the items you have enable or disable "enable ilumination".
Well basically, your device is off when you turn turn off the screen.
Not quite. You can always leave a lot of applications running with the screen off.
So what kind of setting to save as much as it can for battery or what kind of app du you recomend?
First, as someone already said, a WM device can not turn itself on when powered down.
To conserve battery... well just make sure no CPU intensive apps are running in the background, wifi, BT, data connection are off and use auto backlight setting.
Most smartphones don't turn themselves on for alarm (WM, UIQ Symbian, S60 Symbians), but i can't tell for all (iPhone does as i've heard, no idea about Android).
PDA is not Mobile Phone.
It has operation system etc.
To run PDA you need about 1 minute for loading all components of OS.
To run Mobile Phone Alarm needs no load components of OS, just display and sound.
In PDA sound can be played with help of driver and so on.
In Mobile Phone just tiny assembler program and clock-chip.
I know my alarm worked before with Touch-It rom. But since I flashed with WM6.5 and my alarm doesn't go off when the screen is off. There's no way around this?
I can't trust the alarm at all, it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Same on stock rom and 6.5. G-alarm is much better though..
Are you talking about turning the phone off completely,or turning off to the standby stage ? If you use the standby stage, it works fine, and hardly uses any power in this mode.

Shutdown delay when ACC off - change to 24 hours?

Hi,
I have an android head unit (rk3066), which has an option to shutdown between 30 seconds to 2 hours after the ACC has been turned off. This is great, but I would really like this to be 24 hours, so that I don't have to wait for it to boot every time I get in the car.
Surely this is a setting stored in a file somewhere that can be edited? I already have root access, so just need to find it and change it? - does anyone have any suggestions as to how this can be done?
Another option would just be for it to stay on permanently - never turn off, just stay in sleep mode, I would be fine with that too - but I can't find an app or setting that would prevent shutdowns either. An idea of this would be great too.

Henry

Be careful in what you wish (stay on permanently). Your head unit is not a phone. The fact that it wants to shut down is most probably because the MCU firmware can't switch off the amplifier. It means that the unit will drain 40 - 100 mA draining your battery in 20 -70 hours, even though the Android part might be in sleep mode.
I do not know your unit, but it could as well be a property being set, like many of these units do with their settings. So go into a terminal app and execute the command "getprop > /sdcard/getprop.txt" and check what is written to the file. Maybe it contains some useful info. Note that the written text file will contain unix linefeeds so if you are a windows user, you can't use notepad. Use notepad++ or so.

We understand the consequences but is there anyway for us to set that? An apk? This option had been taken out and we can't set it... if you know how or at least know any dev which is working on this, please point us to him.
thanks

Hi guys
I´m looking for this to, does anyone have a solution ?
tks
me too
Usually for that the head units have a sleep mode which sets the hu in a hybernation mode with less energy consumption.
Yes, I know, the problem is the maximum standby time is just 1 hour which is not much. I need more, like 1 or even 2 days. And I don't care about battery drainage.

Schedule Power Off without root

Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to schedule a daily power off my Samsung S5e tablet without having to root the device.
Is there a way to achieve that? Basically I use my tablet only at night so I don't want to have it open the whole day without a reason but I sleep while listening to podcasts so it doesn't suit to power it off manually.
Basically I'd like what Huawei offers out of the box to schedule power off from the device settings.
Thank you.
Don't know of a power off, but there is a reboot under general management / reset.
