PocketZenPhone Version 6.0 and Wizard Problems

Hi,
iam using PZP in Version 6.0 and a QTEK ROM 2.18GER. I have a lot of problem with this new version:
1. Backlight problems (after switching on the device the backlight is switched off in all profiles. One has to set the backlight manually to a reasonable value in the backlight menu - otherwise nothing is readable)
2. Power Drop problems
If PZP switches due to a time switch the Wizard switches correctly at the specified time (and switches off the device again after a second) but the wizard is switched on again after another second and stays on. No chance to switch off automatically any more after the specified 1 minute. It stays on until power is dropped.
Now my question:
Does anyone use PZP6.0 on the wizard? Which ROM version do have installed? Any problems? Please help me and Zendrui (author of PZP) to find out whats going on on my device and where the problems come from by posting the information.
Thanx in advance.

I use this with a TMo MDA running the AKU2 ROM... now with no problems, but experienced both of these issues in the past:
1. There is a patch for the backlight problem on the PZP website. See http://zendrui.free.fr/PZPForum/viewtopic.php?t=197
2. This apparently is also be the solution to the power-off problem:

Check out their forum for further ideas, and post if you don't find the answer. Zendrui is very good about responding.
same ROM and PZP here, and wgary already said it all..

I had the same problem using the same ROM. It first worked like a charm, but than suddenly this started to happen.
Finally I upgrade tot the latest Dutch TMO Rom (2.21.2.5.NLD) and now everythinh is ok again.
Sorry I can't be of more help
I've got exactly the same problem on my XDA mini-s only I'm using the BT Rom from their website, I'm begining to wonder if an Application we're running is causing the problem such as: -
Phone alarm
Pocket Music
Tom Tom
Resco file Explorer
Pocket TV
GPS Dash
SPB Backup
Any similarities?
For me it seems SPB Backup causes this problem. After reinstalling a backup this 10 seconds thing appears all the time.
Same issue...
I had the same issue, posted a thread....

There are a few comments, including one that alluded to a hardware issue, but I did not get it resolved. Any other comments are welcomed.
just to get this topic up again.
I also have the same problem ans also after an automated backup (weekly) using SPB backup.
I restored an older file from SPB backup and I do not have the problem any more. It seems that this happened when the scheduled backup was used.
I think this is no longer an SPB Backup problem as there are others here and on the other post that are not using SPB backup and are still getting the same problem.
My ROM Version is 2.21.4.1 WWE
ROM Date 9th March 06
Radio Version 02.07.10
Protocol Version 413.1.03
EXT ROM Version 2.21.4.101
There must be somebody out there who understands what happens when you select "device locked" that is causing this to happen!
The device lock feature causes this bug.
If you don't want it to do that any more you have to do 2 things.
1) Turn off device lock
2) Change the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Backlight\Locklevel\
Change the "LockLevel" value to "0".
Then your phone will remember your backlight settings again. 8)
I had the same problem. But i did an upgrade to the dutch rom.
I did not have the device lock on so I don't know if that may be the problem.
There are a lot of this tiny little problems on my phone. but I always try new stuf on it, so I hard reset and reinstal very often. (Not restore from backup)
Gldrush98, you are an absolute STAR! I followed your instructions and now the backlight stays on for 1 minute as per the unlocked settings and 10 secs when it is set to locked.....Perfect many thanks.
No problem man, glad it worked. I had that problem too and I know how absolutely madning that bug can be! I don't know why they didn't fix this bug in the 2.2 roms.

Strange problem - Wizard activates itself from time to time...

Hello all,
I'm a long time lurker, first post here though... Hope you can help me.
After SIM and CID Unlocking my device (o2 XDA Mini S) I updated to the newest IPL/SPL (3.08) and Radio ROM and installed the X-Plore 1.1 ROM. I got a strange problem now though, and don't know if it may be caused be a program or if this is a problem of the ROM of some sort... From time to time with no pattern, the display activates itself and shows the Today-Screen. 30 seconds later the background goes off again (as set in the device) and again 30 seconds later the devices locks itself again. Sometimes just a minute later the display goes on again, sometimes it takes some time, like an hour or two...
I already cleared my Today screen and "Startup" folder is also cleared... If you need anymore information, just let me know. Thanks in advance for any help
Is your device locked or unlocked when this happens?
The device is unlocked. I also tried a few things and maybe it's the spb Shell I've installed, but not sure... Does anyone know about such a problem caused by spb Shell?
I have the same problem with my t-mobile mda with ROM 2.26.10.2
There are many post to this problem.
Disable backlight switching off automaticly when your devise is locked with password.
Or disable password.
It is strange. But many got it by disableing backlight.
Just disable your password and set your backlight timeout and standby timeout to be the same.
Since those two little changes, I've not seen the problem again.
Thank you all, I'll try those two things and get back to you.
i have the same problem. i figured out though that the screen comes on when the phone sends/receives GSM data. i do have a password on the device also my screen doesnt auto lock how do i set that?

Problem with Backlight timers

Hi guys,
I setup when my JASJAM running on battery, to turn off backlight when the device is not used for 1 minutes.
When the device turn off backlight after 1 minutes, and i turn on it, and check the settings i see that there is a new value set - 10 sec.
Can someone help me, which registry value i need to change.
BR
This problem is purly with the rom you are using. I tried changing this when i installed the beta version of AKU 3.5 Rom and it wouldnt work, even after setting it in the registry! Everytime the device turns off it just resets to 10 secs....very annoying!
2 options.... Flash it, or live with it.
It has been reported that add on programs cause a conflict with the operating system. This results in the backlight defaulting to ten seconds. (With WM5, default is set at thirty seconds.) To remedy situation you can remove, one by one, any programs that you have loaded onto your PPC to find the offender.
I resolved this problem with a hard reset and it hasn't recurred so far.

Help with changing default auto power off time

Hello all, first thank you in advance for any help.
My tv have 4 options for auto power off (Never, 2 hours, 4 and 8).
I set it up to Never.
Every time I disconnect it from power supply it runs again to 4h by default, is there any way to change that
programming to run as Never by default after power reconnect?
I have an upgrade bin file but don't know how to edit it.
Thank you in advance
Moguur
