Hello, if suddenly someone knows what this may be or how to fix it please tell me.
I have a OnePlus 5 phone, I restored it via the "SMT download mode" after recovering efs, everything works but for some reason the internet is only 2g, without 3g and 4g.

SMT deletes persist and EFS as I know, so in theory you shouldn't have any connectivity

In the settings, everything is right. If manually set 4g, then the connection completely disappears.

1/ If you are not in Android 10, update to the lastest Stable Android 10 ROM OOS
2/ If you are lready on Android 10, just do a dirty flash
3/ You can also create a new APN with your Carrier Settings, what is your Carrier / Data owner ?

Hi,
here some ideas maybe some will help you.
1. Did you check the md5 of the rom?
2. Have you enbled the Mobile data?
3. Did you have set the apn for your provider?
(Menu-Settings-Wireless/Networks-Mobile Data-Accespoints)(Sorry if the names are not 100% right i use German version)
4. Maybe set Network mode on GSM/WCDMA Auto?
5. Maybe some Radio or Kernel Problem?
If nothing helped try posting again in ARHD Thread
Greetings
same problem
Are you using the recommended radio?
This is most likely the problem.
"3. Did you have set the apn for your provider?
(Menu-Settings-Wireless/Networks-Mobile Data-Accespoints)"
Mobile data settings are not stored on "sim" like "sms" settings. You need to manual input them each time you flash. You should find these settings on your providers website on the support page. Once you find them copy/paste/save for future reference. It only takes a few seconds to put them back in.
If you use Titanium Backup these settings are saved in system data backup for future restore, but its recommended only to restore apps+data when flashing a new rom to avoid conflicts.

I agree with FurryCup. APN is responsible for mobile devices to connect to the Internet. To check or set up your APN, you should go to Menu>Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names. You can either add a new APN or edit an existing. Just make sure you have the correct APN settings.
I agree with FurryCup.
Also for future use, you can use APN Backup & Restore / Android Market to save your original APN to your sd card (as an xml file).
Also keep APN Backup & Restore apk on your sd card. (Source)
Every time you flash a new rom - install APN Backup & Restore (from the apk on the sd card), delete the APNs which came with the new rom, restore the original APN which you saved - from your sd card.
Then choose that APN in the phone settings as FurryCup mentions.
Then you can access the correct network as your carrier provides with your phone and contract.
Note: APN Backup & Restore doesn't work with Ice Cream Sandwich.
not sure if its any help to you, BUT... when i installed the rom (my first ever rom) i couldnt manage to install the radio that i was ment to, and everything works fine.
so not sure if the radio you've installed has anything to do with it.
It was the APN, the ROM had automatically set Virgin APN as default when I'm actually on T-Mobile, so I selected the right one and it was working fine.
My phone usually automatically knows my APN details and sets them as default, but it didn't with ARHD for some reason.
Thanks for the replies

No I definitely chose T-Mobile. The APN details for both T-Mobile and Virgin were there, but Virgin was selected as default.

Thanks alot for your hard job, this ROM is AMAZING!
I have signal drop after install this ROM (using version 2012/7/21).
To solve my problem, I copied the File_GSM and File_Seem_Flex_Tables files from my stock ROM (Retail Brazil) and replace the CM9 files.
I put the files in /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default and reboot, and now I have strong signal and no more drop calls.
The ROM CM9 to Motorola Bravo CrystalTalk function is supported. I tried to copy the file Phone.apk this ROM for the Milestone 2 and the option to configure the CrystalTalk appears in the phone settings, but after a reboot the settings are lost.

Ok I will try this. I've extracted the files from a gb nandroid backup so I think that this is almost the same but I will give it a try.
I've also used the baseband switching app with no luck.
Anyone knows witch files manage the 3g on our phones¿ I replaced the ones that are listed in the above posts but are there others?
Thank you mates

Hi,
I got the same problem for Wifi and in minor way for 3G with mine (my baseband is EPU93_U_00.60.00).
I deactivated the national roaming but reactivated it now for testing ...
For the Wifi I tried to disable 802.11n in the tiwlan.ini file but seems to not work.
I'll try to do the requested log readings from tezet when I would have time.
A message for lotan_rm, you're not the alone one (also need to reach 10 post for posting in dev )

So you didn't replaced the original files. The attached files are with differents permissions. Use root explorer to replace the files and it will be with wrong permissions. Then, you change the permissions and reboot. At least here the permissions were wrong...

I'm from spain. The sbf that worked well for me was the uk gingerbread (MILS2_U6_4.1-22_SIGNED_UCAMILESTONE2B1B80E1014.0R_USXMILE2GBRTDACH_P013_A007_HWp2a_Service1FF.sbf).
I didn't replace that files because these are for brasil baseband. I replaced those files with ones on my backup that worked well. The problem persists.
So then I created a sbf using motoandroid depacker that only containts the cg45.smg (baseband files). Flashed it. Problem persists.
Checked the files permissions they are ok.
Used baseband changing app. Sadly, problem persisits.
I tried also a clean install. (flash uk gb, then install cm10 doing all the wipes etc...)
I will try to use brazil files and check the permissions..... thak you everybody

Hey Guys,
The Admins decided to basically add the Charm forums into the Flipout forums, so far only the main forum heading has been changed, hopefully the admins will do the rest of the changes soon.
In the meanwhile, i thought it would be useful to post useful threads on the charm porting, basically since flipout and charm are the same phone with a different design, these should be applicable with respective changes to flipout also.

Thanks for the clear guide. Had a lot of difficulty with this back a year or two ago when I first got my Charm.
Does anyone know if the T-Mo (1700/2100) and 850/1900/2100 Charms have any hardware differences? Or is the 3G bands support purely in software?
I'm actually wondering if it's possible to do the opposite of this guide. That is, flash my existing deblur SBF, but with the T-Mobile BP files, to convert my Telus Charm into one that works on T-Mobile/Wind/Mobilicity.

yes you can but you will have to download telus sbf and T-mobile sbf, then replace firmware of t-mo sbf with that of the telus then copy bp files from telus to t mo, its given in the guide.
but after flashing t-mo ROM you can flash any other sbf other than. t mo as the bootloader gets updated.
but you could try the reverse to obtain a telus ROm working on T mo. Don't have either of these, so can't test it out also.
Cool, thanks. Will try it and report back.

You'll need to update the apn settings for your carrier. Look around on the forums or search web, there are instructions. Your carrier's website could be helpful too, for example Bell Mobility (Canada): http://support.bell.ca/Mobility/Sma..._Nexus_One_for_the_Bell_Mobility_HSPA_network

Hmm, weird, so you copied the bp_nvm_default files as above, and your 3G is working for calls but not for data?
Maybe try re-flashing the ROM?
I have a Charm that was originally on Telus (Canada), they use the same frequencies as Telcel (850/1900) for HSPA. Flashed the T-Mobile sbf and lost 3G, but replacing the bp_nvm_default files made the 3G work with Telus again. Took a couple of tries though - it's a bit finicky. Had to re-flash T-Mobile ROM a couple of times before the mod worked.

You are giving me hope here hehe ..
Well i did replaced the bp_nvm_default files...
You see after the flash of the Tmobile rom i had to do that in order for the phone to recognize the Telcel network.. so after i replaced the bp_nvm_default files, it worked and i can make calls.. and access 2g and 3g networks..
Then i went to wireless settings and added the APN info for telcel.. MMS, GPRS, and 3G... Everything ok there or so it seems..
Then i went to Data Delivery Settings.. but there is no option to turn off the Data services for 3g or 2g for that matter...
I have seen this in some other T Mobile roms (in a droid 2)....
Any clues..?? do you have a way to enable 3g data in your settings?...

Hey guys, I got stuck on T-Mo firmware T-Mobile_MB502_02.60.5_1FF_01, trying to unlock my phone but the band of my operator is for 850-1900, so no phone calls.
I followed this tutorial and it looks that it worked but after RSD finishes and restart the phone, I'm geting the message "SIM network unlock phone" does this means that:
--- it is recognizing the band of my operator (Claro - Colombia) but I need to use one of the services that offers the unlock code like "unlockallcellular.com"?--- that was the point of doing the flash anyways...
or
--- for step "E- Restore network" I need the files from the - "bp_nvm_default" - folder from a actual working Charm on my network? I'm using the ones given on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=903969&page=4 (TELUS) is there any unlocked ones?
or
--- Am I doing anything wrong? :crying::crying::crying::crying: I've done the procedure like 10 times...
Thanks in advance for any help!!!
Was able to install android version (NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.1 V2.2) via the nand method on my US htc hd2 on t-mobile which im new too. it runs great calls, texts etc however it says i have no internet connection it shows bars but with no 3g symbol or anything and when i try to use navigation or maps it says i have no internet connection. is this a problem with this rom or did i do something wrong?? please help everything else is great!! noob here as far as using this technique

they show one for simple, one for straight talk, tmobile us and tmobile us lte can someone please help i really need the data on my phone for gps and internet as my job requires me to have it enabled on my cell phone .
I don't know, if an APN is properly configured and selected, data should work UNLESS you're on cLK but have RMNET, your sim card is misplaced (is that even possible?), or you haven't enabled "data" in mobile network settings.

Are you using magldr or clk?
If magldr reinstall ROM (just clear dalvic cache and cache before, no need to clear data) and choose ppp instead of rmnet when asked.
Edit: do not reboot system, go back to recovery, reboot into recovery and fix permissions then reboot system..
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda premium
I had a similar problem when installing NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10. If I installed with factory reset or wipe cache, it would not work. If I re-flash over the top of it without wiping cache, it would work. Worth a try.

Hello
Since my english is too bad, I let Google translate the text ...
Was in the Netherlands on vacation and in the host country a prepaid SIM used, which worked problem-free. Back home (Switzerland) no MobileNetwork connection is possible any more. APN was controlled with the provider (Swisscom) and seems to be correct. Receiving the configuration SMS failed, but "normal" SMS can be received and sent. Voice and WLAN works fine.
Deleting DATA, DALVIK and CACHE via TWRP did not help. Also did not help remove the battery. No system update or the like has been made in the meantime.
Does anyone have an idea, which I can still make?
System:
SM-N9005
CyanogenMod 13 by Temasek
Mod version 13.0-20161220-UNOFFICIAL-trader418-hlte
Android 6.0.1
Baseband N9005XXUGBP1
Thanks for support

I would delete APN settings and look them up in Google, input them manually.

Thanks for the tip, but I have already done. Have the APN-Settings deleted and newly created, nevertheless it does not work anymore.
Have also the file under /etc/apns-conf.xml.txt deleted and replaced by other version. Still does not work.
Is there a way to debug the error?

You mean "apns-conf.xml"
Try to dirty flash your rom.

Yes exactly, the apns-conf.xml I have deleted. Where are the manually entered parameters stored?
Unfortunately I have the original files of my ROM no longer, I would have to look first here again. Do you mean "dirty flash", the ROM over the already existing system flashen?
If I still knew how, I would only flash the modem again. The system works sunnily.
It is also funny that the SMS-APN configuration can not receive from the provider, but all other SMS arrive.

User apn is stored in "/data/data/com.android.settings/shared_prefs/com.android.settings_preferences.xml"
Yes, i mean flash again the same rom over the existing one.
And sms don't need apn to work, only data and mms do.

"Dirty flash" unfortunately did not help.
Search now a suitable modem and the guide to update only the modem.

Unfortunately, the update or even change from the modem did not help.
Property therefore a complete new installation of a stock ROM. Then again TWRP and CM13, now everything works as before.
Thanks anyway
My solution for those with the same problem:
After deleting all the files didn't solve the problem, the following trick helped:
Plugged in an old, no longer working SIM from an Italian provider and waited for the message from the network operator, "SIM invalid". Then I plugged in my SIM and everything works again...
