Same problem here. I had no problems with 2.3.6 uk official. On CM9 and CM10 I have thuis issue.
Will try to do a clean install, (flash uk 2.3.6, then CM10) because my problems started with CM9.
Do you had this problem in CM9 too?

Thanks alot for your hard job, this ROM is AMAZING!
I have signal drop after install this ROM (using version 2012/7/21).
To solve my problem, I copied the File_GSM and File_Seem_Flex_Tables files from my stock ROM (Retail Brazil) and replace the CM9 files.
I put the files in /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default and reboot, and now I have strong signal and no more drop calls.
The ROM CM9 to Motorola Bravo CrystalTalk function is supported. I tried to copy the file Phone.apk this ROM for the Milestone 2 and the option to configure the CrystalTalk appears in the phone settings, but after a reboot the settings are lost.

extract radio files recompile to SBF and - flash it

Ok I will try this. I've extracted the files from a gb nandroid backup so I think that this is almost the same but I will give it a try.
I've also used the baseband switching app with no luck.
Anyone knows witch files manage the 3g on our phones¿ I replaced the ones that are listed in the above posts but are there others?
Thank you mates

Hi,
I got the same problem for Wifi and in minor way for 3G with mine (my baseband is EPU93_U_00.60.00).
I deactivated the national roaming but reactivated it now for testing ...
For the Wifi I tried to disable 802.11n in the tiwlan.ini file but seems to not work.
I'll try to do the requested log readings from tezet when I would have time.
A message for lotan_rm, you're not the alone one (also need to reach 10 post for posting in dev )

So you didn't replaced the original files. The attached files are with differents permissions. Use root explorer to replace the files and it will be with wrong permissions. Then, you change the permissions and reboot. At least here the permissions were wrong...

I'm from spain. The sbf that worked well for me was the uk gingerbread (MILS2_U6_4.1-22_SIGNED_UCAMILESTONE2B1B80E1014.0R_USXMILE2GBRTDACH_P013_A007_HWp2a_Service1FF.sbf).
I didn't replace that files because these are for brasil baseband. I replaced those files with ones on my backup that worked well. The problem persists.
So then I created a sbf using motoandroid depacker that only containts the cg45.smg (baseband files). Flashed it. Problem persists.
Checked the files permissions they are ok.
Used baseband changing app. Sadly, problem persisits.
I tried also a clean install. (flash uk gb, then install cm10 doing all the wipes etc...)
I will try to use brazil files and check the permissions..... thak you everybody

greetings. I ve got a gt i5800 and suddenly the wifi does not scan for networks. I activate it and a message like scaning (for networks) was unable or not possible (in my language) and then it deactivates itself. I can use the internet turning on 3g but I cannot use wifi due to scan error. Any clues?
backup /data/wifi/bcm_supp.conf
after backing up (your stored passwords are in there) delete the file.
usually then it scans again for networks...
another possibility is, that you use a g3mod kernel for CM6.2 for froyo

Are you using any sort of custom rom that might have this effect on your phone? Even the samsung roms are a little faulty and sometimes these things occur. Just flash a stock rom if you are using a custom rom and if you are using a stock rom just flash the latest one for your region or wipe data/factory reset/hard reset. This should sort it although the comment above sounds like the person knows what he's doing

I installed paranoidndroid rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663755 ) on sd via magldr and neither wifi nor data connection was working (i have tried all versions) but the rom is pretty good to be close to everyday use.
I fixed the wifi replacing the attached file (fw_bcm4329.bin) from this thread

I tried the data fix on the paranoidandroid thread but its not working... i think its only for those using cLk.
But the data connection is still not working. there is another file fw_bcm4329_apsta.bin in the folder.
i was wondering if this is for data connection... when i flashed NexusHD2 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437463 ) rom the data was working... so is it useful to try to extract and replace the fw_bcm4329_apsta.bin from the NexusHD2 rom?

I wonder which version of PA U used. If you are Haret user it could be 1.5a version where i encountered the same problem which later reported to build developers . the issue was RMNET to PPP update. the fix is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26923572&postcount=2 . there are no such problems with data and wifi in 1.5b. if you want to stick to 1.5a, after downloading the fix you must unzip the file and put meta and system folders into your SD build's root folder and reboot the phone. the build will update and should be fine
Hint for problem with data connection:
Sometimes when it's not working you have to:
1. Go to setting and disable data connection
2. Reboot
3. Enable data connection
It happened two or three times for me and rebooting with disabled connection helped.

I guess haret user means loading android via windows mobile. And if so i m not a haret user i load android via magldr coz i have dual booted my phone with windows phone and put the android on the partitioned space on my sd card. I used all versions of PA but all have the same problem of wifi and data connection. I did exactly as u mentioned... put the system and meta folders into root folder of my sd card and reboot but it keeps on rebooting. I tried the other fix too that seems to be for cLk users.. (says upgrading on 1.4a but nothing changes and gives error on 1.5b)

Hey Guys,
The Admins decided to basically add the Charm forums into the Flipout forums, so far only the main forum heading has been changed, hopefully the admins will do the rest of the changes soon.
In the meanwhile, i thought it would be useful to post useful threads on the charm porting, basically since flipout and charm are the same phone with a different design, these should be applicable with respective changes to flipout also.

Thanks for the clear guide. Had a lot of difficulty with this back a year or two ago when I first got my Charm.
Does anyone know if the T-Mo (1700/2100) and 850/1900/2100 Charms have any hardware differences? Or is the 3G bands support purely in software?
I'm actually wondering if it's possible to do the opposite of this guide. That is, flash my existing deblur SBF, but with the T-Mobile BP files, to convert my Telus Charm into one that works on T-Mobile/Wind/Mobilicity.

yes you can but you will have to download telus sbf and T-mobile sbf, then replace firmware of t-mo sbf with that of the telus then copy bp files from telus to t mo, its given in the guide.
but after flashing t-mo ROM you can flash any other sbf other than. t mo as the bootloader gets updated.
but you could try the reverse to obtain a telus ROm working on T mo. Don't have either of these, so can't test it out also.
Cool, thanks. Will try it and report back.

You'll need to update the apn settings for your carrier. Look around on the forums or search web, there are instructions. Your carrier's website could be helpful too, for example Bell Mobility (Canada): http://support.bell.ca/Mobility/Sma..._Nexus_One_for_the_Bell_Mobility_HSPA_network

Well my Carrier is Telcel in Mexico, but i have already created the APN settings for it.. but thers no option to turn on the data services... in some other forum they told me that the baseband frecuencies arent compatible and the only way of getting my 3g data back is to restore the device to the original LATAM firmware.. which i guess im not able to do since i cant go back from the TMOBILE bootloader..
PLease tell me im wrong and that there is a way of doing this..
Im gbuessing maybe sending it to motorola and they could do some magic?...

Hmm, weird, so you copied the bp_nvm_default files as above, and your 3G is working for calls but not for data?
Maybe try re-flashing the ROM?
I have a Charm that was originally on Telus (Canada), they use the same frequencies as Telcel (850/1900) for HSPA. Flashed the T-Mobile sbf and lost 3G, but replacing the bp_nvm_default files made the 3G work with Telus again. Took a couple of tries though - it's a bit finicky. Had to re-flash T-Mobile ROM a couple of times before the mod worked.

You are giving me hope here hehe ..
Well i did replaced the bp_nvm_default files...
You see after the flash of the Tmobile rom i had to do that in order for the phone to recognize the Telcel network.. so after i replaced the bp_nvm_default files, it worked and i can make calls.. and access 2g and 3g networks..
Then i went to wireless settings and added the APN info for telcel.. MMS, GPRS, and 3G... Everything ok there or so it seems..
Then i went to Data Delivery Settings.. but there is no option to turn off the Data services for 3g or 2g for that matter...
I have seen this in some other T Mobile roms (in a droid 2)....
Any clues..?? do you have a way to enable 3g data in your settings?...

Hey guys, I got stuck on T-Mo firmware T-Mobile_MB502_02.60.5_1FF_01, trying to unlock my phone but the band of my operator is for 850-1900, so no phone calls.
I followed this tutorial and it looks that it worked but after RSD finishes and restart the phone, I'm geting the message "SIM network unlock phone" does this means that:
--- it is recognizing the band of my operator (Claro - Colombia) but I need to use one of the services that offers the unlock code like "unlockallcellular.com"?--- that was the point of doing the flash anyways...
or
--- for step "E- Restore network" I need the files from the - "bp_nvm_default" - folder from a actual working Charm on my network? I'm using the ones given on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=903969&page=4 (TELUS) is there any unlocked ones?
or
--- Am I doing anything wrong? :crying::crying::crying::crying: I've done the procedure like 10 times...
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

I did that, and nothing changed...It still connects, but I can't access de market or any other site on the browser. Sometimes, when I turn Wi-Fi on, the phone reboots, I don't know if it has something to do with this or not...
Last thought, try changing your modems encryption and radio channel. If those doesn't work i'm out of ideas. Goodluck

Tried both of them, none worked... I already did a factory reset, I have the latest Aurora update, checked the router DHCP log (wich shows that the android device is connected), and I still can't access internet. I already tried another android phone in my home network (Xperia U, which worked), and tried my phone in another wi-fi connection, and it also works.... This is so weird!
No one?
Í have rooted Note3 Jelly Bean.
Wifi works fine. But i cannot see the passwords of my own wifi networks.
I have tried several methods:
Going to /data/misc/wifi and checking wpa_supplicant.conf,
And also apps like "wifi key recovery" or "Wifi QR share"
The problem is it shows a diferent psk password. Its like a long line of numbers a letter, like if it was in another code.
¿How can I translate that so it shows the real password?

Just grab one of the Apps of the play store. Since you're rooted they'll work fine.

Thanks for the answer! How can I switch the kernel? Can you tell me where I can find more information about this?
I have the same problem with my note 3 Android 4.4.2.
I would be lucky if there exists a solution!
how to fix the wifi passwords recovery
well, I tried every new original rom for my sm n9005, I tried everything with the wpa_supplicant.conf file, even I copied a good one from other phone and I couldn't fix the problem. When I changed the kernel then the problem was fixed! I think it's the only way to fix the wifi passwords recovery!

ultimate kernel
The "Ultimate kernel".

Found a fix
I'm with a GS5, but it should be had the same issue. I opened build.prop file and changed the line ro.securestorage=true to false and now not only do I have Xposed and S Health working simultaniously, but I also fixed the WiFi Key Recovery problem
Remember to reboot after changing build.prop
Thanks so much for this answer!!!!!
I have a Galxy Note 3, Android 4.3
In this case the file was named ro.securestorage.support=true and I changed it to ro.securestorage.support=false.
Now the WiFi Key Recovery problem is fixed with all new passwords that you write ...
wifi password recovery from kitkat 4.4.4
Thanks. Worked for me. I am using note 4
Doubt
