Hi all- I have Accubattery on my 6T and it informs me that the Oneplus battery optimization is terrible and should be disabled. Anyone know if this it true? I have noticed a big difference either way.
Thanks..........mm

It doesn't but some notifications are delayed or don't pop up at all when battery optimization is on. I'm not exactly sure about the implementation of this feature but i think it's got sth to do with ram management. In that case disabling it would probably increase performance..

No matter what I do I get this drain. Android os is keeping awake for 4 hrs in 12 hrs of sitting in my car. Apparently instead of dozing it says don't go to sleep instead drain the battery. I'm using amplify and app ops xposed to stop wakelocks even. Running pure nexus. Doesn't matter if its fresh install or not. Any ideas?
root and install better battery stats
Well you clearly have something waking your system. Though too much wakeblocking is just as bad. Perhaps try something else, like greenify. Most likely some rogue app.

Better battery stats didnt really tell much It seems to only happen if WiFi is on and not connected so I'll try turning it off and see. I pretty much removed everything from amplify last night and turned off WiFi and there was no drain. I'm getting amazing battery life today tho. But no dozing so I'll see tonight I guess.

If that's the case, you probably have an RX wakelock, and flashing a custom kernel [kylo for example] has that as a simple wakelock toggle you can enable.
Or block it by other means.

Thanks kylo was my next thing to try But I just wrote a tasker profile to automate WiFi on off that should take care of it. If that fails kylo is next. Thanks a bunch

No problem, also:
Kylo Downloads, since renderserver isn't being updated.
Also also: when in the kernel, there is a bug with all 4 wlan toggles, make sure it shows up as 'disabled' [toggle to the left] to have it enabled.

Exactly, 4 - 1 = 3...Can't see the clear text?
You know I had this kind of drain yesterday.

Honestly Android OS is the worst kind of drain because its hard to find a smoking gun. It's just the OS doing something we don't know.. While Facebook had its wakelocks, the thing is Facebook itself is not draining that much. Something else is going on.

Only advice I have is make sure searching for open WiFi isn't checked, under location make sure the scanning options are unchecked and kylos kernel seems to be helping as suggested in previous posts using the wake lock preventions.

I don't use AOD, don't need it. However, I could see why it's only for radio-based notifications. It makes sense for AOD to only register for radio-based events (which are always awake anyway) and not listen to other app-based notifications as it may require additional wakes, etc. It's an unproven theory, I'd admit.
Since April update aod clock is stationary on screen, not moving around anymore. Factory reset didn't help, neither the last two app updates.

Is there something useful like a modded, better battery optimization, or something truly usefull for Nexus 6p battery?

Get a good app like GSAM to tell you what's using your battery. Greenify can also help you put apps into hibernation more quickly, though I'm not sure it's as helpful with more doze in Nougat. Lastly, leave your phone sitting motionless and it'll go into deep doze more quickly

Ye but i mean... Default "Battery optimization" (i mean the setting feature) is veeery weak, arent there something more 'deep'?
And also, does 1080x1920 worth in terms of battery life?

There is a forum on XDA about 1200x1920 this but it doesn't do very much for your battery, a little bit but it seems not worth it, some apps have difficulties with an alternate resolution then the default 2K resolution we have.

Yeah. Use an app as I suggested so you know what's actually using it. You can't apply a general solution to a specific problem in this case. You might have something wakelocking your phone, or an app behaving oddly. Many Android defaults aren't as good as you may want (ie - stock sound), so that's the beauty of OS. You can tweak and customize to your specific liking.
Turn the phone off.
Hi guys,
I'm picking up an H870DS and don't plan on rooting (not like I can atm anyway) so I just wanted to start a thread on what you guys did to max out your battery life and performance without having to use root. Maybe some settings drain batt or maybe you disable certain apps. Let me know! You can also warn about what things cause battery drain and such so other users can avoid them.
Add to this thread and I'll try my best to edit this and compile your answers below.

Yes, system sucks a lot. Even just removing useless app (like quickmemo+, lg health, facebook pre-installed bloatware) you can gain a little improvement in standby consumption.

Not for the moment being, I don't want to lose warrenty nor I have problems with battery life (I usually get 4-4h30m of SoT over 24 hours), the only major battery drainer is the frikking LTE once I'm out of wifi range. I hope that they find a way to make it suck a little less

No, I've read some people complain about that, I personally haven't had that problem so far, neither with stock launcher nor nova.
Maybe since it arrived just yesterday, you could try with a factory reset and, if prompted, choose not to install lg apps when asked.

Just remember you can delete any app (even system ones) with adb, look fo rthe thread on removing bloatware, it describes the process, was quite easy, I deleted LG Health, switcher, and few others, also Google newsstand, music and movies and definitely have seen a difference, remember to also disable the LDB function (LG 24/7 tracking of phone) with the hidden menu, that also makes a difference to battery life!

ok, cool.
Since there is no LED light for notification what are you guys doing?
I have it currently set to wake for new notifications and tap to show notifications. I am hoping this isn't a battery killer?

Miniscule as far as I've noticed so far.
I use Edge Lighting for notifications and Pixel Plus for lock screen notifications
