Is there something useful like a modded, better battery optimization, or something truly usefull for Nexus 6p battery?

Get a good app like GSAM to tell you what's using your battery. Greenify can also help you put apps into hibernation more quickly, though I'm not sure it's as helpful with more doze in Nougat. Lastly, leave your phone sitting motionless and it'll go into deep doze more quickly

Ye but i mean... Default "Battery optimization" (i mean the setting feature) is veeery weak, arent there something more 'deep'?
And also, does 1080x1920 worth in terms of battery life?

There is a forum on XDA about 1200x1920 this but it doesn't do very much for your battery, a little bit but it seems not worth it, some apps have difficulties with an alternate resolution then the default 2K resolution we have.

Yeah. Use an app as I suggested so you know what's actually using it. You can't apply a general solution to a specific problem in this case. You might have something wakelocking your phone, or an app behaving oddly. Many Android defaults aren't as good as you may want (ie - stock sound), so that's the beauty of OS. You can tweak and customize to your specific liking.
Turn the phone off.

I am at "1d 3h 26m 36s since unplugged" and sitting at 73% battery, which is probably better than I have ever seen.. the 2 changes I made were
a) removing Home++ so I could try ADWLauncher (this was just for kicks)
b) as a consequence of removing Home++, my home screen widgets were removed, and I chose not to re-add most.
This made me wonder about widgets... ie I realized that I never see any widgets listed when I look at the battery consumption stats??
I was wondering if maybe widgets were "absorbed" into the Phone Idle or Cell Standby stats? (ie. they were run too close to the OS to be separated out by the battery use routine?)
EDIT: all of my searches kept returning widgets that reported battery status, instead of the info described above
It makes sense that when something is constantly updating itself it is constantly using battery, no?

Did you even bother to read what he was asking? Did you even read the TITLE?
He's asking if it gets reported, recorded, if he can somehow look up how much battery they are using. He never once suggests anything close to asking if they use battery. Actually, he clearly points out that they DO and he wants to be able to see how much.
As for OP, don't know. What are you using to see battery history? In Spare Parts I see nothing like this, and I would assume that they use quite a lot, also depending on how often you have them set to update, etc.

I read it and to me it sounded like he was wondering if they used more battery. So, I DID read it, just misunderstood.
In my tiny brain, it sounded like he was wondering if it had been reported that widgets use more battery.
I made a mistake, it is perfectly acceptable to do so. Part of life is making said mistakes and learning from them.
And before anyone says something, I do indeed have a tiny brain, around the size of a raisin.
Anyways, back on topic. If they are kept anywhere I would be willing to bet they are grouped with "Cell Standby".

That's as far as my small brain got as well. Alas,(if that is the case) that would make it tough to ferret out the "expensive" (in terms of battery usage) widgets
Well, you can kinda at least group by simple logic. Which ones use most memory? Which ones update most often? You won't get numbers, but you'll at least be able to weed out that one widget that takes 6 battery every 30 minutes.

As the poster above me said, group it by logic. Things like Twicca's widget will use the least amount of power (However, Twicca won't) because all it does is launch different parts of the app. Then there are things like Beautiful Widgets which check the weather at a set amount of time. Using this example (and if these are the only widgets on your home screen), we would want to remove Beautiful Widgets to save battery before we remove the Twicca Widget.
Likewise, if we want to save battery we can have these widgets update less often.
This research is completly based on previous posts here on xda by other members + based on my testing:
1. Get app CpuSpy from the market. Observe with it if your phone goes to "deep sleep" or not.
2. If you see your phone doesn't enter deep sleep, go to Applications, Battery use and close all applications like default Email app (that caused my phone to constantly use ~245Mhz of my CPU when idle), also check your widgets for various weather updates, ...
3. Apply latest franco kernel (with my experience, this kernel also improved my battery life)
4. Make sure you have turned off in Settings, Date & Time, "Automatic".
5. Disable data transfer under Wireless & Networks.
6. Set Brightness level to Automatic as screen drains the battery alot.
7. Apply the custom roms provided here (MIUI, Oxygen) which are based on Gingerbread (2.3), which also has better battery usage than FroYo (2.2), especialy on U8800.
Hope this helps for some people here
Thanks for the information
but I think if I do all of that, it makes no sense to buy a smartphone in first place

no sense? damn you crazy! the guy says nothing about any of crucial smarphones features. What you can't live with automatic brightness? or with franco kernel?
Selecting 2g over 3g aimake huge difference in battery life.

only the data connection otherwise ur right as hell
THE BIGGEST impact on battery life is as you all may know- DISPLAY. You can disable everything, but those things only takes 20-30% of battery everything else is for display. So.. turn ir off D Its very bad that all roms allows you only to minimize brightness to 11% but i want to minimize it even more, but they do not allow me. cause at nights 11% is too bright for me.
I even thinking to compile my own modified franco kernel just because of that DD But with MIUI rom it shows bull**** in battery usage.

theres no point in using a smartphone if i do as suggested..

I agree with the guy that said there is no much point using smartphone if you don't use data or application syncs etc. At least thats why I use android phones.

I just wanted to post few tips for better battery performance. Anyhow, to the trolls in this topic:
Yesterday i discovered a nice app called 2X battery and tried it today.
As usually my battery goes from 100 to 50 by 12hrs, so with this 2xbattery on, its almost 15hrs and batter is still 67%
nice app 10p

it just common sense, no need to be nerd. We al know that everything that is running - uses cpu - cpu uses energy so it's battery - that's the whole nerd part
Can you update the franco Kernel on a stock rom? and If I don't like it, if I restore backup from clockworkmod will the old kernel come back?
Thanks

AFAIK no. Franco stated that his kernel only works with 2.3 ROM. The stock one is 2.2.
Dose anyone use snapdragon batteryguru?
Or stay with default function, namely stamina mode?
Or both together?
I just installed yesterday and it is on the way learning.
So, if some of you have already tried some combination of those, I am appreciate it in giving me feedback.
Also, I will give you feedback after testing.
Best regards,

I have used batteryguru before didn't notice much improvement and from what the app was saying the apps you don't use often it stops them pushing the notifications etc until you load the app however I was still having notifications coming from all the apps on my phone. Your milage may vary though depending on what you use your phone for.
I was using JuiceDefender until I've been told that it doesn't do me any good. I thought it was a pretty nifty app for its functionality to enable and disable Wi-Fi and mobile data when I need it or not...

I have been used for 1 month. I guess batteryguru did not help me much. So, I just uninstall it.

I also had tried it on my HTC Butterfly (Global version of Droid DNA) and my LG G2, noticed no improvement in battery life.
Also, I just recognize that battery recharge time longer when I used it.

I think is better to use both

Well, peers have told me:
1. Battery saving apps are pointless with how advance Android is nowadays. Also especially since Sony has already included enough battery saving software in their devices.
2. The battery saving app keeps running, so that itself drains the battery.
What do you think?

1 is correct
2 is partially correct, depends on which power saving app, I didn't notice any real drain from Battery Guru, though it didn't help increase it either.
I've never used Battery Guru before, but I think I'd rather purchase Tasker to do the job of location based Wi-Fi for my phone.
Would it drain battery or such if I have that act like juice defender/battery guru instead?

Ive used battery guru for a while, but looks like it doesnt do much. So i uninstall it already.
With the latest version of Stamina I can't really see what BatteryGuru can do to further improve things.
The Z3 effectively turns just about everything off in standby if you ask it to, firing up when you start using the phone. Battery Guru attempts to learn your usage, so it will still allow data at certain times and restrict completely at others.
I'm very happy with Stamina and uninstalled Battery Guru some time ago. I still have it on some other devices tough, especially anything that doesn't have any native power saving functions.
I do wonder how Sony is going to combine Stamina with the Lollipop battery saver, which is a simple on or off - along with the horrid orange bars. That's very much all or nothing with far less intelligence, so maybe Sony will not use that at all.
Hi all,
It seems to me the battery statistics of my phone is so inaccurate. After a full charge of 100%, and say that I've been using it for while and drain 30% of it, but in the the total battery used up in the battery stats seems rather wrong, with all usage totalling up to only about 20-25%.
Where's the rest of it. What other applications using it? What causes the drain that can't be displayed?
Do any of you experienced the same?
That's an android thing and there is no way, as far as I know, of getting around it. Almost every phone has this problem. Battery stats seem to be set up in a way that only shows percentages from apps that are either actively being used or are using up a lot a battery in the background.
Well that really sucks. Is there really no way of telling it at all?

Well other than that you could get a wakelock detector app to tell when apps are using up too much background power but other than that just killing apps that do show up in the list is one of the best ways to keep up your battery life.
As i understood it shows percentage of percentage.

I think gsam reports out of total if you have root.. So when you add up each percent category it will sum to 100%

There you go, root. I stopped with rooting quite a while back. I still recall the main reason I root was simply because I hate ads. Thankfully, adguard got that fixed. And some customizations that is possible nowadays. Besides that, it ain't all that worthy of roots anymore(IMO) , and as of late, if anything, root will take away the convenience that come with my banking app because it won't run with root.
Thanks for for reply.

Hello, I am in doubt, if I use the automatic brightness since I do not know if it consumes more battery than it should or not. I would like to know your opinion and experience with him. I know that the phone remembers the light patterns to make it more and more efficient but I backed off the fact that it goes overboard with the consumption of battery.
Thank you all.
