I have a 2011 Cadillac CTS & I buy a tesla style head unit for it , its nice but the problem I have is
1- the sound is only in front speakers , & there is no sound in back speakers ? help please ?
2- only in the in early morning when I start the car (( only in first morning ))
The unit don't have a sound & the clock with the radio station are rest , When I rest the unit form the rest button , nothing happens
it will work only when I switch off the car & start it again it will work fine except the clock & the radio station , l must set it myself , but when I do the setting it will remain okay during the day the next day in early morning the same scenario ?

I have bought it and on my passat B7 I have park assist (6 parking sensor on front and 6 on back) and on the display I can see only 4 on front and 4 on back and sometime the unit gets confuse on side parking sensor and start beeping. And if I push the button for parking sensor it will not appear nothing on display only if I put it in reverse gear.
What I see the MCU is SM92D1.160726.V1.1-LCB3
and the Chinese guy send me a "update file for android an DVD unit but is not good".
Please if any one can help me I can pay a little sum of money but not to much . I whant as OEM version for passat parkassist pla 2.0 on RNS 510.

Hi, no I did not find a solution and end up changing with a OE RNS510. And after 2 months one stupid drunk guy totaled my car.
you have the update that the Chinese sent you, or someone else has it, mine still has version 4.4.2, thanks

I have recently upgraded to android stereo. The sound output is very good.
Video quality is great.
Touch works just fine.
But the mic quality is very poor. Is there a way to connect external mic to this headunit ?

In my experience with other units on this forum I can say that many people have soldered their own mics, replacing the stock equipment on the board.

I have been satisfied with my headunit until it started to play tricks a few days ago. It all started on the way to work when i suddenly got a massive gsm interference noise which I never got before and it never stopped. When I drove home from work It was gone and haven't come back ever sinc. Anyway that may not have anything to do with my main problem which i'll describe next.
Two days after the gsm interference noise the tuner of the headunit works only a few seconds after booting then the sound goes off and the auto search arrows don't work. The frequency can be altered manually and preset channels switched but all of those are silent. Not even static radio noise. When I turn the headunit off and on the tuner works again for a few seconds. Last evening I pulled the headunit out to see if the antenna or any other was in place and or if they had any damage but everything seemed ok. Listening music from CD or from spotify via bluetooth works without problem. Could it be a software issue since the auto search buttons don't work? The unit is a Erisin mtcd Octa Core runnig android Lollipop.

AFAIK there's no exist any mtcd octacore with lollipop....all mtcds octacore are px5 and they are under marshmallow

Today the tuner started working for awhile when I slighty pressed the frame around the screen. Is the radio chip directly behind the faceplate?

2 gigs of RAM, some quadcore CPU, 32GB ROM, RDS (I won't listen to a radio very often).. I only don't like sensor volume buttons, but I can live with that. What do you guys think?
Or it's not worth it and I should just buy some 1 din classic and parking sensors, leaving GPS to a phone?

I would say what is the worst that could happen with the device?
Maybe it is useful that you inform what MCU there is and if it is mtcd mtce whatsoever. Then you can look if there is any custom ROM that you could flash to this.
I prefer to have hardware buttons for volume and next back etc. But I know I can also use my steering wheel for that (which I do in 99 percent of the time)

The worst would be it not being able to run GPS and music at the same time? Or very bad audio output? I don't know what to expect from these devices.
I'm not sure if it has any microcontroller, specs says only "Allwinner quadcore 1.2 GHz". I though it was just a tablet in different body with amp. But I'm sure there will not be any custom ROM for this. I can even find many reviews.

I got the panlelo S10 plus a week ago and it's a good upgrade to the stock stereo (installed it on a Ford freestyle)
-google maps GPS works great by using hotspot from my phone, I have not tried off line Gps apps
-audio app for air radio stations sounds just like the stock stereo but has equilizer feature which will help it to sound better than the stock stereo, and the reception for air radio is just as the stock stereo
-it will let you play music (music app, google play music, Amazon music, YouTube music) and use Google maps at the same time but you have to go to settings and whilelist the apps you want to keep running in the background after you get back to the main screen or switch to maps
-it does boot up in like 2-3 secs for me
-it is not standard size as the regular 2 din, you need to make sure it's going to fit, also you need to shave the sides opening for the car kits you buy for double din car installation
-quality is meh, my screen has a corner lifting up, it is very small but it's there, it might be because the opening I did to the car kit plate it's making pressure on that corner.
-touch screen is responsive but is plastic not glass like a phone or tablet, the specs make the stereo to be responsive when moving thru apps
-screen brightness it's adequate for a car stereo, don't expect it to be like a phone - update - after connecting the illumination wire the brightness adjusts automatically down when turning on the headlights, you can set how low to go on the settings menu
-I don't have a back up camera so I can't comment on that
-side capacitive buttons do no light up (at least I haven't found out how to enable it or if there is a cable connection that I'm missing) so at night you won't be able to see the volume buttons, you have to rely on pulling down the notification bar to move the volume - update - my car does not have an illumination dedicated wire so I connected the stereo illumination wire to a cable that turns on the ac panel backlight and now the menu capacitive buttons light up when I switch the headlights on
-I haven't play with the steering wheel controller, I haven't research my car to see how to connect them to the stereo, I installed it in a rush because I was going in a trip so I just connected the basic stuff, so far I am enjoying it a lot for this trip. - update - connected the stereo key1 cable to the car swc+ cable and the steering wheel controls worked fine after programing them on the stereo settings
Overall I think is worth the $147 I paid for it, hopefully it lasts long.

A number of times i woukd start the car and it will be set to a volume of 15 automatically, blasting sound on radio. I have tried using the default volume level, turning power amplifier to half in factory settings and all. It wud start working fine and then suddenly in the next start up it wud b on 15. This problem is intermittent and not always there. Any help? Shud i update firmware?

I am on the hunt for a solution to this problem!! I'll report back when I find one .. cuz holy effing **** does this ever piss me off also!!!
Even I had the same issue with volume and startup (Default) volume setting was missing so performed software update and now. got more functions that were missing from headunit. I have YT9216B headunit if you have same i have created a thread to update perform firmware update.

I have solved this on my peugeot 308 with alps FF5000 8227L demo device. Problem is in memory. It deletes some settings after vehicle shudown, or when you change some settings in advanced menu (8888) all times.
My solution is when that occurs go to infotainment/ volume - and adjust the first volume media volume bar to your need (ussually 5 or 6). Adjust and other ones aswell - BT , sound media etc.
Then, when set, do not disengage your car (don't turn off ignition), let it running for 3 minutes.
Tricky part is that in some devices there is a option in infotainment main menu / common option for memory save / standby time - option that says in which time to shutdown and save after ignition off. If you could find these you must set it to 0 minutes . It worked for me. After all tht you can take ignition off, remove key wait for 3 minutes and start up again HU. It will work nicely now. You can set up options for DSP effects also in infotainment / sound - to memorize those aswell (if device have DSP option).
