[HELP] Joying Corrupted Recovery Mode - Android Head-Units

I have a Joying PX5 8.0.0 and it just booted to a screen telling me the device is corrupted giving me two options: “Try Again” or “Factory Reset”. I can’t selext either option because the volume knob does nothing and the buttons also do nothing. Although I’d like to root my device it currently wasn’t rooted at all. Is there a way to select Factory reset? Touch screen doesn’t select them either

If you have a usb keyboard that might work ....

You could also try to rest the unit with a sharp pointy thing. Do this 3 times (after the boot logo eset again). It "might" correctly reboot. If not, use a USB stick and try to reflash in the same way.
Finally: mail Joying.

I plugged in a own game controller and the direction pad and buttons work natively

Cracked Screen, how do I factory reset if I'm rooted?

I cracked the screen on my LG G2 and am having a hard time erasing it before I sell it!
I bought an OTG cable but my mouse and USB drives don't appear to show up. I'm guessing a specific mode has to be enabled for OTG cable support?
I tried booting into recovery mode and factory reseting, but after pressing the power button twice I'm just taken to the TWRP splash screen (and my hardware buttons don't allow me to navigate for a wipe).
I also tried remote installing Device Manager from the play store, but my device doesn't have a SIM and isn't connected to wireless!
Is it possible to wipe this thing via USB? Any other tips are much appreciated!

Just return the phone completely to stock, which will remove root, restore factory settings and ready it to be sold.
Go to http://www.lg-firmware-rom.com and enter your IMEI, then download your .kdz file.
Flash your .kdz via download mode using this tutorial.

Recovery is a blank screen, so is the os!

Hello,
I need some guidance. I flashed the latest version of malaysk ROM. Unfortunately both recovery and the rom give me a blank screen. I know the screen works because I see the malaysk logo when I attempt to go into recovery.
I am presuming I could use a PC and fastboit mode, but how is this fine on an android head unit.
I have a 1 din, flip screen type, KLD5, RK3188 model.
Please help me.
There seem to be a lot of units flashed with the latest rom that have lost the bootloader and recovery.. I'm not seeing any fixes for this. Has anyone fixed a unit that is now stuck at the bootloader with no recovery possible?

I did not try it, but this might work:
Holding the power button while turning on the unit will get you into bootloader mode. **This is battery power not acc power** The screen will be black but plugging in a usb to the front usb will prompt the PC to install the RockChip bootloader drivers - this might help http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11...install-rockchip-usb-drivers-in-windows-xp78/
(From http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Hui_Fei_Type#Bootloader_mode)
I don’t have a power button on my HU, I wonder if the RST button or the smaller reset button above would work?

Seicane recovery mode without reset buttons?

Hello there,
I have been a reader of XDA for many years but this is the first time I'm at a loss...
I have this radio: Seicane S088713 but with the T3 processor. Sorry I cannot post links (I'm a newbie!) but you can see it if you search for "9 inch 2004-2008 Chrysler Aspen 300C Android 6.0"
I managed to root it with Kingroot and all seemed fine for a while but I must have deleted something by mistake and now the unit is stack on the android screen.
Any idea how to enter recovery mode? The radio does not have any buttons or reset pin.
Also tried the Alt+PrtSCr+i but all I manage to get is the unit to reboot.
Any ideas? I have looked a fair bit of info on this particular radio but there's no much on it.
Have you find the way to get into recovery mode in the meanwhile?
I have a seicane with allwin T8, would also love to know how to enter recovery mode, if there even is one lol.
Recovery - worked for me
Did you repeatedly hit the "i" while holding the "alt + prnt scrn" buttons?
Even after the first boot screen starts?
It takes a little patience and practice if it will work at all.
If you have a poweroff button, just push it for quite some time and then push again and wait for the head unit to start, it should start right on the recovery menu after that.
I've only tried it once, and it did.
Hope you'll get there too.

Android P Update stuck on BOOT LOOP

[NVidia Shield 2017 model]
After yesterday's update restart, to Android P, my unit stuck on bootloop (10+hrs).
I'm now unable to get past it, or get into bootloader (ie A+B after Plug-In & Control Buzz).
At this point, I'd like to do a Factory Reset if possible.
I have access to a computer if it'll help.
Thanks
UPDATE (10/3/19)
I worked through this Guide for the SHIELD Pro a number of times.
Couldn't get past the broken robot screen. Going to try updating my Windows Driver and try again later. Will update.
(sorry. I haven't hit my 10 post min in order to post links)
UPDATE (10/4/19)
I've got a somewhat Parallel Thread going here discussing my Troubleshooting Steps:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/shield-tv/9/321317/bootlooped-since-android-p-adb-fastboot-questio/
Same sort of issue. I read over at geforce forum, somebody installed OK, then stuck. Somebody asked if they had SD card in, and to try to remove and restart. Sounds dodgey, as the card is formatted as part of the system configuration now.

I had a cluster of hd's connected to mine at the time ... Could be related?
I tried the suggestion, and removed my USB hub as well, and it didn't work. When I do get back in I'll have to see if doing that has trashed my system or app configuration.
However, I did discover in a thread below mention of a thread to do with the boot loader, and some instructions on his to get into it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80234203&postcount=10
(BTW: I am using my TV internal smart TV functions and players instead at the moment , and the picture with my pushed profile looks way better than on the shield. Yet another way they let us down. This might be the last shield when it dies, and I stopped recommending it, and may start recommending not to buy. Just one update promoted issue after another going on for an extreme long time, and just poor interface and system app design, as well as disabling my track pad and no Linux support. The system is nowhere near what it could be.)
How far are you guys getting when booting up?
Mine's the multicolored android animation before it forms the word.
Still Fastboot then broken Robot Screen for me ...

So you are getting into the bootloader?
Are you pressing recovery by any chance when there?

Thanks, that's one of the links I wasn't able to post initially.
I've since moved the question, including current pursuits, to the page linked under my last update above.
NVidia has kindly resolved the issue with me since.
Good luck everyone, and thanks for the assists.

Navigating recovery without physical buttons

Hello,
After posting my thread yesterday the seller send me a mcu update. After applying the update as per the sellers instructions, my device went into the android recovery and now it's stuck there. I can't navigate by the display and have no physical buttons. There's a cutout hole for where the reset button should be but apparently there is not even a reset button beneath it. I plugged in a USB keyboard and mouse but I still can't navigate the recovery and the HU always boots into the recovery. The USB with the update file is plugged in but it says it can't find the file when booting (its there).
Does anyone have an idea how to navigate the recovery so I can select the update file on my USB?

Get back to the seller, he may have sent the wrong files for your unit.
