Hello! I hope I'm in the right place.
I bought a quad core, android 4.4.4 headunit from AliExpress. It worked fine for a week, and then suddenly it stopped working and is stuck in the car logo at boot.

Is there anything I can do? or did I just lose $350?
You need to try to get into recovery and wipe data, there's instructions in the Q&A thread it's usually a combination of holding power button and pressing the RST button with a paper clip.

I tried the RST + power button, but all it does it reboot the system, and goes back to getting stuck, it doesn't enter recovery mode.
As long as you didn't flash anything it should have recovery some units are tricky to get into recovery. https://youtu.be/Vtfwfh0Olu4
Did anyone find a solution to this because mine is stuck with the exact same issue
Hello,
I need some guidance. I flashed the latest version of malaysk ROM. Unfortunately both recovery and the rom give me a blank screen. I know the screen works because I see the malaysk logo when I attempt to go into recovery.
I am presuming I could use a PC and fastboit mode, but how is this fine on an android head unit.
I have a 1 din, flip screen type, KLD5, RK3188 model.
Please help me.
There seem to be a lot of units flashed with the latest rom that have lost the bootloader and recovery.. I'm not seeing any fixes for this. Has anyone fixed a unit that is now stuck at the bootloader with no recovery possible?

I did not try it, but this might work:
Holding the power button while turning on the unit will get you into bootloader mode. **This is battery power not acc power** The screen will be black but plugging in a usb to the front usb will prompt the PC to install the RockChip bootloader drivers - this might help http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11...install-rockchip-usb-drivers-in-windows-xp78/
(From http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Hui_Fei_Type#Bootloader_mode)
I don’t have a power button on my HU, I wonder if the RST button or the smaller reset button above would work?

Hello,
I upgrade my T3 P3 Quad Core Headunit to Android 7.1.1 using the rom given at:
4pda.ru
/forum/index.php?showtopic=837879
(With the help of Google translate)
I missed upgrading the recovery in the process because of which I cannot run the system upgrade now.
I would be grateful if someone who has upgraded their T3 P3 Quad Core headunit to Android 7.1.1 could post a copy of their Recovery.img file (can be obtained using the terminal of and application such as Rashr).
Thanks.

1. You are mistaken. Recovery does not perform the update function.
2. If you had Android 6 and you upgraded to Android 7, then now you need to use the method of emergency firmware update.
3. What firmware do you want to install?

Thank you for the response.
I installed version V8.3.2_20180105.162617_AKW1-mod and would now like to upgrade to V8.3.2_20180119.100305_TW2-ZHC-mod.
Both of these are Android 7.1.x. When I run "system update" the processing icon shows for 1-2 minutes and then android reboots. However, after boot up the rom version still shows the same 20180105.
If I boot into recovery the version shown is android 6.0.1. Was assuming that the system update isn't working because the recovery was not updated.
Would appreciate your guidance on how to upgrade the Android 7 version & if the recovery update will help or not.
Thanks.

You need to rename the firmware files, as you did the first time.
Use these methods of emergency firmware update.
1. Hold Home (mechanical button), press Reset, and keep holding Home until the update starts.
Instead of the Home button, you can connect the KEY1 (Steering wheel controls) wire to the ground. Or press the button on the steering wheel connected to KEY1.
2. Yet another procedure might be needed for some units: Using a USB stick prepared as above and inserted in the unit, turn ignition to ACC, press Reset, turn ignition off, then after 5 seconds turn it again to ACC.

Good luck.

Hello,
Sorry for using this topic but I'm a new user...
I have an Android 7.1 radio that doesn't work correctly after disconnecting the canbus box from it.
I did a video https://youtu.be/PcQrKQD8FKs
Can you help with is?
Hi Intrusion4,
I know it's an old post but I'm having the same problem on a Allwinner T3 P3.
At first the Bluetooth stopped working 6 months ago but that didn't bothered me too much, instead this morning i found the GPS icon blinking and everything not related to the Android OS stopped working (Radio, Music Player, Navigation, Car Info, etc). I can't raise the volume and brightness either just like you in your video.
Do you still remember if you solved it and how did you do it?
Thank you
Hi!
I'm looking for instructions how to enter the recovery mode in this head unit (it's Ford Mondeo MK4). I was trying different combinations, such as holding RST button for 30+seconds, holding power button, touching screen etc... Maybe someone went through the same problem and has a solution.
Thanks in advance!
Helllo, you found samething? I look for a firmware update about this radio.
Hello to everyone
I have updated my android radio unit YT576b and since black screen, I would like to know if anyone knows the procedure to go to the recovery menu by pressing the reset button.
