Hey xda, first post after years of reading
I'm using a P10 Lite Dual Sim and i recently updated to the b197 stock version of the firmware. Since then when i boot my phone i get a "device failed verification" error which forces me to push power button to boot. Also sometimes at random moments the phone reboots and return to the error screen. I tried updating to the b199 via Firmware finder DNS but after the download in the official update app i get a "bad checksum file" message. Then i tried force updating by creating the dload folder in the root of the sd card, putting inside the UPDATE.APP of the b199 and pressing power + vol up + vol down, but the update process is stuck at 5%.
Really don't know what else to do. I'd go for a custom ROM, but the whole proces of getting the bootloader unlock code seems a real pain in the ass.
Peace.
maybe you have installed wrong version
Your phone is Dual SIM, right?
But firmware B197 and B199 are ONLY SINGLE SIM!!!
You flashed wrong roms XD
Try with dual sim roms B192, B194, B198 or better use Service Rom B182 and then use OTA upodate ;p
Also what is your region? C432 Europe or other?
ROM: http://androidhost.ru/JT
On the SDCard create a folder called "dload" and put the files, then press and hold all 3 buttons: Power + VolUP + VolDown
WAS-LX1 dual sim 3GB RAM:
/dload/update.app
/dload/WAS-L21_hw_eu/update_WAS-L21_hw_eu.app
WAS-LX1A dual sim 4GB RAM:
/dload/update.app
/dload/WAS-L21A_hw_eu/update_WAS-L21A_hw_eu.app

put your firmware to root of your sd card with dload folder, so now you should have UPDATE.APP inside dload folder in your sd card then put sd card to your phone. then hold power button and both volume buttons down and when the huawei logo comes, start counting to about 10 seconds and after 10 seconds release power button and keep holding volume keys until it starts restoring. i hope u understand
Huh, makes sense, I'll try that now!
EDIT: One more question, does it have to be B204 or can it be something like the Marshmallow ROM?

Hi all,
First I installed nougat via firmware search (or finder) app. After that I did hard reset and when it prompted me to login to google account I don't get keyboard popup but "Tap to speak" instead.
There is no way to switch it.
Erecovery didn't help because it says something like versions are not the same (I can check it again for real message if needed).
I also tried with recovering from sd card (download firmware to dload folder and then vol +, vol -, power button) and got "incompatible version" or smth similar.
Did anyone have this issue and if did, is there a solution?
Thank you
I never heard of such a problem... That is really strange.
Your best bet is to find a firmware that is flashable via three button method and look if the problem got solved.
If it does not work for whatever reason...
Unlock your bootloader and install TWRP.
Then you can maybe reflash GApps and see if it solves your keyboard issue.
The second method requires a BL unlock code though (not sure if you have it).

Thank you. I'll try wit several firmwares and then flash.
I am just informing that I tried with multiple firmwares and they all failed.
Next is flash.
Had the same problem, skipped connection with my wifi, did the setup and voice search Google keyboard, install it and then connect to my wi-fi via keyboard, did the roll back from Nougat to Marshmallow by flashing b300 update via 3 button method, download stock firmware also flash via 3 button method, that roll back also relocked my bootloader, my device is VNS-L31C185

hi i'm a huawei P9lite (VNS-L31) user from South Africa, i need help with a roll back ,please help
Hi there!
I have a p9 lite ds vns-l21. I have succesfully install nougat (c432b336) on it but I want to upgrade to the latest n build. Updater app doesn't show any downloadable version says that I already on latest firmware. So I find a thread to make it work by install c185 oeminfo and firmware c185b360. I succesfully manage to install it, but I want to go back to c432 oeminfo and than istall c432b370 or b380. After install oeminfo c432 I can't install b370 so decided to start from original firmware so put update.app on sd card (b130), it install as it should and when it reaches 100% it goes to black screen. I waiting for it to boot up, but it isn't.
The device doesn't react any button press. It's not boot (long press power), not enter recovery (Vol up + power), no fastboot (Vol dwn + power) and no 3 button method.
I try to charge it, but its completly unresponsive.
Any ideas guys?
You cooked your motherboard.
Can i have a slice too?
Let the phone charge for a night and see what happens
Thanks for trying to help!
I left it on chaeger over the night but at morning it won't turn on.
I try another method from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...hed-black-screen-bip-green-t3485836?nocache=1
but linux doesn't see my device too, so I will use my warranty (this device is only 6 month old) and see what will happen.
cheers

Hello, try this way...
Let battery completely discharge.
Then take your usb cable and connect it to your device.
Press and keep VOL+, connect usb into your wall charger and press power button until it boots.
If works and goes into the e-recovery do a factory reset.
Cheers
Hi! Dc Phoenix test-point short-circuited me the phone Huawei p9 lite VNS-L21 C432! And it has been working since then.
