put your firmware to root of your sd card with dload folder, so now you should have UPDATE.APP inside dload folder in your sd card then put sd card to your phone. then hold power button and both volume buttons down and when the huawei logo comes, start counting to about 10 seconds and after 10 seconds release power button and keep holding volume keys until it starts restoring. i hope u understand

Huh, makes sense, I'll try that now!
EDIT: One more question, does it have to be B204 or can it be something like the Marshmallow ROM?

Is this G1 T-Mobile (UK) repairable?

Synopsis: Son gave me phone to see if I can fix it. It would only boot in to the coloured screen. I’ve read this forum till I couldn’t see any more to try and fix it.
What I’ve done so far is to back up whatever was on the card, then formatted it FAT32. Downloaded RC7 zip (UK), extracted DREAIMG.mbh to card. I also put the zip file on card but renamed it to update.zip. I've done all this with a card reader.
When starting phone, it goes through the update as below.
DREAIMG.mbh – OK
RADIO_V2 – OK
BOOTLOADER – OK
RECOVERY – OK
BOOT – OK
SPLASH1 – OK
SYSTEM – OK
USERDATA – OK
Update Complete
UPDATE SUCCESS, press action key
Pressing the middle/action key takes me back to the bootloader/tricolor screen:
DREA110 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29
SEPT 2 2008
Serial0
When starting phone with home + power key, it goes to the triangle with the exclamation mark. Pressing alt + L, tells me E: Can’t open /cache/recovery/command. Pressing alt + S gives me:
E: No signature (1 files)
E: Verification failed
Twice it booted up to asking for simcard. Once before I formatted, and once after. There wasn’t a simcard with it and not sure if it’s needed to boot fully.
Is there other things to try, or is it too corrupted to fix?
Thanks in advance
without doing the update.zip part does the phone not boot up with RC7?
Try RC 8 or RC 9... or try flashing this (official cupcake) via recovery.

Whenever I get to the bootloader screen I can’t turn the phone of at all apart from taking the battery out. Pressing the power button will take it through the update (see my firs post) and when all done it goes back to bootloader screen. To turn phone off I have to remove battery again.
Kind regards,
remove the memory stick then from off boot your phone w/o pressing any buttons (just power) what happens?

I'm sorry to say but to my knowledge you're screwed, as far as i know. I'm far from a professional but on my check list:
-unrooted
-stock spl/radio
-no recovery
-and dream.img doesn't work
your next option is a jtag, if that doesnt work im pretty sure it's some type of hardware issue. sorry i couldnt be of more help
Many thanks for trying to help. I've no idea what jtag is but will try and google it.
Kind regards,
After an exhaustive searches the last 24 hrs, it seems that unless one can get the phone recognized by your PC, or can boot it past the boot loader, there appears to be no chance for it to be resurrected.
Unless anyone knows better.
Kind Regards to all,

Many thanks for the link but it's way over my old head.
Kind regards,
this may sound a little simple and forgive me if its stupid, but are you sure your camera button isnt stuck down?
There is hope!
I had exactly the same problem and cured it by downloading the US image (RC29 I think) rather than the UK one. Put the dreamimg.nbh in the root of your SD card then boot up the G1 whilst pressing the camera button.
Even though my phone is from the UK (I am in Ireland) this worked a treat and gave me a working (abeit back to basics) phone. From there I rooted it again then went through to my chosen ROM.
Hope this works - let me know.

Many thank for your replies. Sorry for late post but was away. The camera button seems to work, at least it gives a definite click. I now handed phone back to my son but will see him tonight and relay the messages. Will post if I can get it to work.

Huawei P8 Lite Bootloop (cant enter fastboot// can enter huawei recovery) (B188)

Well. I recently hard resetted my phone and rooted it via KingRoot (unlocked bootloader) because i was too lazy to use twrp again. Then i downloaded SuperSu me and replaced kingroot with supersu. Everything working fine. Then i updated the binaries and as the popup said i restarted my phone, but now Im stuck in a bootloop... Already tried to wipe cache and do a factory reset, both didnt work. I can enter the Huawei Recovery, but i cant enter fastboot.
Please help.
//Update
Fixed it with the help of AmINoS007
If literally nothing works, download a higher version Stock firmware than the one you had before. Copy it on your sd card into dload (Only one Update.App at the time) and press vol up + vol down + power button and wait for it to boot up the recovery, it should do everything on its own then. If it cancels just do it again. (Worked for me with the third try)
it's weired that you can't enter fastboot
but since you have the stock recovery why don't you try then restore your phone with the hisuite tool via laptop ?
otherwise juste plug in your phone with your cable to the pc and press the 3 buttons together ( power , vol- , vol+ ) and make sure you have internet connexion on your pc and the phone will donwload a new firmware and install and shabam your phone is alive again
Didnt know that! Thanks

google account problem

hy. i have a big problem. i just bought a p9 lite and i couldn.t sing in with google account. On browser it works but when i press add new account(settings) at google nothing happends. at e-mail, exchange it works but not at google option. it doesn.t work at youtube, magazin play, google + etc also. after 3 hours of google.ing the problem is still there. anything else works fine. if you have any ideea i will try it. thanks.
You just bought the phone and did not root/modded right? You should try to do a factory reset, and if it does not work the Google Apps must be damaged. To fix it you have to download the original firmware and update with the dload mode:
-Extract the firmware from the zip (you can find download in the forum)
-Put the file UPADATE.APP in a folder named dload
-Copy the dload folder that contains the firmware to a micro SD and put it in your phone
-Make sure to have enough battery
-Open the dialer and type *#*#2846579#*#*
-Click on ProjectMenu -> Software Upgrade -> SDCard Upgrade
This should install the firmware to your phone.
If it does not work do in this way:
-With the dload folder in the SD card as before, shut down the phone
-While powered off, press Volume -, Volume + and power button all together and it will start the installation

P8 stuck at boot

Hi to everyone ^^
I have here a P8, stuck on boot with the "TIM" logo (operator). I can't even shutdown it.
Is not mine and I still need to know more information about which firmware it had before get this sort of brick, anyway...
I can't enter in recovery (Power-vol+)
I can't enter in EMUI mode ( Power- Vol+ - Vol -)
....BUT I can enter in fastboot&rescue mode.
I've already unlocked the bootloader and I can flash everything....but still, I can't get access to the recovery or EMUI mode T___T
Does exist a "Generic" firmware that works for unbrick this phone?
Do you have any suggest or link for some Recovery/Boot/Cust file?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Already tried.
This is the result...The device doesn't support system recovery.
Sorry for the multi-post T__T
Anyway this is my situation...I can just use the fastboot, or see the "Bootlogo" for the rest of my life......(or battery )
Have you tried a forced update by placing a full ROM named "Update.app" in a folder called "DLOAD" on the external SD card and then pressing and holding all three buttons ?
Yep, already done...
No response.
SD ready, power on the phone holding all three buttons, but nothing to do... it just start normally and get stuck on logo. =(

P9 Lite 2016 (VNS-L31) stuck on "booting now", forever. please help ;-;

So long story short, I had a custom ROM (CarbonROM from HassanMirza) and I tried reverting back to the original ROM.
After screwing around too much, I ended up with two recoveries installed, no OS and an unlocked device which I CANNOT use at all.
I tried doing the 'dload' method; so I downloaded update.app and oem_info.zip and put them inside a "dload" folder which I created in my external sd card, pressed vol+, vol- and power button, that took me to the fastboot&recovery screen.
I unlocked the phone with fastboot once again, rebooted, and here I am.
Here's a list of things I CAN'T boot into: (trust me, I've tried)
-recovery/erecovery;
-fastboot&recovery screen;
-normal boot (no OS, duh).
At this point I think I bricked my phone and must wait until it shuts down, idk how long that would take.
So if anyone knows some kind of button-pressing technique or a way to only shut down the phone without making it reboot everytime, that would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance :/

Hello dude,
quite hard to recover...
You'd had to ask first instead
that now having an unusable device...
Sorry but who told or where you read about to put together update.app and oeminfo files into DLOAD folder?
Maybe logically, this could be have sense, but we all have just to follow guides someone made to make things works,
not to improvise ...
but, i'm not here to teach you and will try only to help you ..
Let the battery drain completely.
Then try to turn it on this way:
connect the USB cable to the device, then keep and hold down the vol + key and connect the device to the wall charger
(if doesn't boot continue pressing vol+ and press power button too).
Once booted release vol +.
If you are lucky, it may restart in recovery mode.
If you can do this let me know and I'll be back to help you ..
Regards
