I once tried to use geno's partition resize, and after a reboot, it cannot boot into system anymore. Stuck at the huawei logo.
Since I'm quite familiar with linux, I tried this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971266
However, my linux installation didn't show any drives when it's in pink screen mode, so I'm pretty much stuck here.
In Windows 8 it did show two HUAWEI Technologies device (no drivers though) in pink screen mode.
I can't access recovery mode either, holding power + vol up only does normal boot for some strange reason. Anyone can help me out here?

try put official GB dload file on sd card, then put sd card in phone press power up+power down+power...
maybe it'll help you.
I tried that too, and it still bootloops. Not much luck.
Go to recovery and wipe everything. Then, reboot recovery, and then try partitioning again.
I can't get into recovery by pressing power + vol up. It just does normal boot (which bootloops).
If there would be any other way to get into recovery (such as via ADB or update.app) would be highly appreciated.

Yes, you can boot into recovery via adb:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
But, you cannot use that until your phone is booted up.
If that doesn't work, you can follow these instructions to hard reset your phone:
http://www.hard-reset.com/huawei-u8800-ideos-x5-hard-reset.html
Good Luck.
I can't get it to do the hard reset either. It just boots normally, aside from the bootloop.
I believe I need to fix the partition first before I try to reinstall stock. I hear that stock doesn't work with custom partitions. Which is why I'd prefer to at least get some access to the device via USB in order to fix it.
Ah well. It's a failing device anyway. Even before the brick the camera doesn't work anymore, regardless of which ROM I choose. Maybe it's time to move on for me.

Well, I tried this too (in fact I stated it in the first post) but pink screen mode isn't showing any device (I typed in "dmesg" in the Linux Terminal, none is found).
I appreciate your help, though. If I can solve the detection problem, I should be able to recover my phone using this method. I'd be happy to share some logs if it helps.
I got your back buddy

Hey, this is my first post well here it goes
Step 1 :- Format the sd card and put dload folder in it ( you'll get it from the official rom zip file)
Step 2 :- press and hold vol+ & vol- and then power button, it'll start upgrading
Step 3 :- now here is the tricky part!!! i was stuck here too and gone half mad well, let it reboot it will format cache etc and then bootloops, now turn off the device and then turn on pressing vol+ and power button, or u can try by pressing home, vol+ and power button, u'll b in recovery mode i.e in official rom builtin i guess.
Step 4 :- once in recovery, select reset factory default and clear partition cache, and then reboot!!!! Voila u will b able to finally boot successfully...
Now listen very carefully, u got only one chance here, cause if u reboot ur device again then bootloops will start again so in the first go, root the device by superoneclick and then install recovery i guess u knw all that and then u will be able to return to stock rom by flashing... once u've installed CWM then u r good to go bootloop wont effect ya SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH THOUGH
i tried rooting my phone huawei p8 lite but got stuck at installing super su now i cannot start my device ..i cannot boot into flash mode or recovery ..i need help ...it wont even charge

What's your build number what version of supersu did you try to flash?
Shutdown your device, put your current build onto 'dload' folder in the sdcard and press the following key combo: POWER, VOL-UP & VOL-DOWN, it should enable automatic update process

Shut it down amd press those 3 keys combo.. upon seeing Huawei Logo and vibration, release the Power key while holding the other 2... That ought to do it
Man, your phone is badly bricked. If you don't have at least access to fastboot, then you're screwed.
Good for me to I have the same problem. I was trying to get to stock ( I have made it several times), but the last time was a fail... The whole process of sending firmware was ok. then a reboot and brick.
Now the huawei screen and the short vibration appears and shutdown.
I was trying everything.
In device manager the phone is displayed as mobile devices \ volume f:\ (drive letter)
in connected devices the phone is detected as
hi6210sft
Phone is not detected in fastboot or ADB.
I met this problem yesterday(I hope the identical ). Because I have two booting animations, one from Vodafone, I guess I shutdown early during installation. It just froze. Then it didn't boot and stock recovery didn't help
My solution needs some recovery software like twrp. Press three buttons at the same time until twrp mode. Copy zip file for SuperSU to phone or sdcard, then flash it. After that my phone works again.
You mentioned that you cannot start recovery. Try more. After installing twrp, starting it is quite annoying. Sometimes it just doesn't start or stock recovery starts. An alternative way is to go to whatever mode, and try adb or fast boot to reboot to recovery. Pressing button requires techniques which j don't have
I can't enter TWRP non combination is working for me. Installing firmware using dload from sd card also.
okay if non of these worked you can try flashing the whole update.app file by fastboot..
tools you will need
1- download the official huawei firmware from the official site
2- download Huawei Update Extractor
3- download minimal adb and fastboot
check the unbricking chapter of this thread
Note: to get in fastboot make sure you connected your phone to computer and press the vol down and power down buttons.. if none of these worked your phone is hard bricked .-. .. try opening the phone and reconnecting the battery worked with someone
if you need any help just pm me or replay on this thread hope that help you
Ok thx. I have already opened the phone to reconnect the battery
And then I was trying the combinations;
Battery connected vol- +power - Huawei logo and vibration and shutdown, no fastboot
Battery disconnected, vol-+power and connecting cable to phone - the same
Battery disconnected combination vol + vol - + ppwer, with sd card dload, the same
Battery connected combination vol + vol - power, sd card dload, the same
Any other suggestions?
The phone is recognized in Windows in device manager as mobile device as volume with a letter, I cant change the drivers to the right ones. I can't enter the storage it's unrecognized format.
Any other suggestions?

it is easy to suggest others.. I too advised you.. but today i am facing the same problem...
what I tried:
Reinstalling the same ROM using dload method
Upgrading to other ROM (using both dload and flashing 4 image method)
Downgrading
Restoring from the backup
At one point, the phone booted up all well except the Wifi Module... So I flashed another ROM and stuck again...
the worst thing that I don't have any connection to fastboot Each firmware installation method fails

yes, mine too... or I could say flashing succeeds but there's some problem with the boot partition... will get my phone today from the Customer Care and try again (if they can't repair).
you can try removing the back cover and unplugging the battery... that is one of the few things I will do today as I get my phone back..

ok made it back.. just flashed the boot.img from b594 (the one I was using when my mobile got bricked)... somehow made it back. But now I am having a problem with the battery. It doesn't charge when the device is switched on, only when the device is switched off... will see for few days, if there's problem will take it back to service centre again
I have already removed back cover and was trying to reconnect the battery to do clear run. But the only thing is discovered in windows is a driver for storage and I can't change the driver to ADB or FASTBOOT
Now I have connected phone w PC on adb devices I see only emulator-5554 device. In Device manager I see the storage as a Mobile Device.
Nope it was Bluestacks

Switch off your device and then connect it to PC but just hold the volume- key.. that should get you in fastboot mode... I did that and then flashed the boot.img of the current ROM. This should boot it up...
Nope it doesn't work I was trying it already
I have no android, and twrp seems to have been overridden by the stock thing. Which only has the options to restore to factory settings(that's not gonna help!) and clear partition. (did it but it didn't help).
When turning it on, it goes from the Huawei logo to the "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted", which it gets stuck on if I don't do anything. Then if i hold vol up and power, it restarts, and does it again. Though if i do it faster I can get to the recover that has the two options.
There's also another screen it goes to which has reboot, shutdown, and download latest version and recovery. The download latest version and recovery makes me connect to wifi then says "retrieving package" but then says failed.
I'm not tech savy, and only started doing all this rooting/going under the hood. Because I'm trying to fix the play store/anything google related not working. Now I appear to have softbricked(hard?) the phone. If I take it to a chop shop do you think they'll be able to fix it? Or do you know what I can do?

He doesn't need this, download c432 OEMINFO and flash it, it'll lock your bootloader, unlock it again and reflash TWRP via fastboot (bootloader) then download and flash C432B370 update + data and flash it then reboot. Any other C432 ROM will work too
it was vns l31
I already unlocked my bootloader before though. I also rooted it.
Do you have a link to a rom I can download?
will one of these work?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...huawei-p9-lite-firmware-compilations-t3517124
I'm in europe do I download VNS-L31C432B151 - Full Europe?
Ok, I've booted into bootloader.
The screen has a circle with EMUI inside.
And 3 options
"Reboot system now"
"Wipe data/factory reset"
"wipe cache partition"
I plugged in a usb cable, and heard the connected sound. So my computer detects it.(yay!)
by terminal you mean cmd, right? I'll do that now.
EDIT
Typed "fastboot flash recovery recovery_twrp.img"
it said waiting for any device...
So my computer doesn't detect the phone, I quit cmd and it an error came up saying "couldn't mount file the disc image is corrupted".
I'm scared I've bricked my phone. What If I put android on an sd card, and press vol up, vol down, and the power button. To get it to update? Will that fix this?
EDIT 2
by pressing power and vol down. i can get to a fastbot and rescue mode. Will this help me? It says connect usb cable to computer, and open hisuite... device still not listed under cmd though.
EDIT 3
Hisuite opens everytime I plug my phone in, but it doesn't say a device is connected. Can't do anything to it in cmd, because it's not recognised. No android, no twrp, no connection to computer...
If I put a rom on the an sd card, and put it in my phone, will I be able to install/flash it?
Are you certain your bootloader is unlocked? Just double check by trying to unlock it.
I unlocked my bootloader a few days ago. When I turn on my device it says it's been unlocked and can't be trusted. Now that android has been deleted I can't try to unlock it again. And I'm pretty sure it's already unlocked.
I just need some help on how I can make this device usable again. There's no OS, no TWRP, and it isn't detected by my computer. I think my only option is putting android on an sd card. Will that work?

region Cxxx? Sorry still new...
EDIT
oooh, region Cxxx was the thing before the Bxxx. Damn I didn't save it and can't check because android is gone. I remember the first number being a 4 though. I think.
Also after I've put it on the SD card. I just have to press power, vol up, and vol down. To install it, right?

this is where you want to be.
in fastboot mode. connected to the computer, then use this tool to flash twrp
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873
then, boot into twrp by rebooting with power+ vol+
then mount the sd card in twrp and create a "dload" folder then copy an update.app file for your phone into it and
theeeen boot with power+ vol+ +vol- and it will write your rom
easy peasy.
Thanks velles2003! I'll try it shortly
I think I may have bricked by M3 . Willing to paypal someone for a solution. Am unable to get into fastboot and it hangs at "your device is booting now...." no matter what button combo I press.
Have tried battery drain trick as well.
Have you tried creating a dload folder on your internal storage or sd card? Put the update.app for your model in there and then press power and up and down volume buttons at the same time.
Probably the only solution is to use an older version of ROM even if for Europe or whatever. Put in dload folder. Follow regular directions for that (two files). Get that older version working. Then unlock bootloader, install TWRP, then try upgrade again. I think I had to install TWRP 5 before it could be used for the upgrade to current ROM (EMUI 5).
I'm having the same problem as OP. The dload folder in the sd card method is apparently not an option as volume up + down + power doesn't enter the recovery mode. It either will just hang at "your device is booting now...." or it will flash the red charging symbol.

I have unfortunally exactly same problem.
When trying the button combo to enter recovery have you got the usb cable plugged in to your tablet?
Are you trying a non 5.0 build? Mine did what yours did and won't build with a 5.0 build. Try a 4.1(?) build and it should eventually boot (after a good while).
I have the same symptoms.
How did you solve it?

Hey guys,
A friend of mine handed me a phone I used a few years ago - a Huawei P10+. The problem is, it won't boot. A friend offered a small bounty - so I thought I'd extend that small bounty to people here for immediate assistance. If you take Paypal, there $25 USD up for grabs if your links/instructions and assistance lead to unbricking - correct booting of the phone....
WHAT WE KNOW:
- VKY-L29 dual sim phone
- Previously been successfully rooted and was functioning fine
- Previous User may have tried wiping EVERYTHING (unsuccessfully, obviously) for re-installation of stock ROM
THE PROBLEM:
The phone displays the white/orange text screen, stating "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted. To learn more visit: http://zh.ui.vmall.com/emotiondownload.php?mod=restore
(1) Press power to continue .... nothing happens when pressed
(2) Press volume up for 3 secs to enter ERecovery to restore your device ... this works, but CANNOT download, or fails to download package over WIFI (only other options are to shutdown/reboot)
(3) Your device will continue to boot 5 seconds later if no operation ... nothing happens, it just hangs on this screen - even when prompt shows "Your device is rebooting now"
It doesn't matter if this stays rooted or not, we just need to successfully reinstall the STOCK ROM and booting/functioning normally.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Try downloading an older firmware extract the contents of the .app file using huawei firmware extractor and flash system.img recovery_ramdisk.img oeminfo.img product.img and vendor.img using fastboot and if the phone boots up just update it to a newer firmware, that's how i did it to my P10 Plus, it didn't wanna download via eRecovery too, sorry for the misunderstanding i forgot that it doesn't wanna download for you, i don't have the device with me now because i broke my display (again) so it's getting fixed but it won't be done untill saturday, i'll upload the firmware i used so that you can try too.
if the bootloader is unlocked flash twrp using the command: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk "path to TWRP.img"
after flashing type: fastboot reboot and immediately start pressing the Volume Up and power button untill the HUAWEI logo shows up, after booting to TWRP flash oeminfo.img using the install option in TWRP, after that reboot and try downloading the firmware using eRecovery again, hopefully this time it will let you download it.

So first of all download this firmware here extract it on your pc and boot to bootloader and flash TWRP_kirin.img to recovery_ramdisk, after that reboot the phone and boot in recovery via holding the volume up and power button, when in TWRP copy the dload folder from the firmware you extracted on your pc to your phone after that copy the RECOVERY8_NoCheck.img to your phone and flash it as recovery ramdisk via the install option in TWRP, power off your phone and press and hold the volume buttons and the power button and wait for it to boot and let it install the update, i really hope this helps you, it helped me after struggling with it all day long.
Hi Lester, it's been an eternity since I was online here as I put this on the back-burner with more pressing work and family priorities. Thank you very much for providing the files. I noticed the ROM firmware is EU, when i am outside of EU....but shouldn't be too big of a problem.... I am getting around to doing all of this now, I have downloaded the files. When are you typically online to chat about this?
