Bricked :( - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

I think I may have bricked by M3 . Willing to paypal someone for a solution. Am unable to get into fastboot and it hangs at "your device is booting now...." no matter what button combo I press.
Have tried battery drain trick as well.

Have you tried creating a dload folder on your internal storage or sd card? Put the update.app for your model in there and then press power and up and down volume buttons at the same time.

Probably the only solution is to use an older version of ROM even if for Europe or whatever. Put in dload folder. Follow regular directions for that (two files). Get that older version working. Then unlock bootloader, install TWRP, then try upgrade again. I think I had to install TWRP 5 before it could be used for the upgrade to current ROM (EMUI 5).

I'm having the same problem as OP. The dload folder in the sd card method is apparently not an option as volume up + down + power doesn't enter the recovery mode. It either will just hang at "your device is booting now...." or it will flash the red charging symbol.

I have unfortunally exactly same problem.

When trying the button combo to enter recovery have you got the usb cable plugged in to your tablet?

Are you trying a non 5.0 build? Mine did what yours did and won't build with a 5.0 build. Try a 4.1(?) build and it should eventually boot (after a good while).

I have the same symptoms.
How did you solve it?

yes.
If the cable is not connected, the power will not turn on because it is discharged..
Is there a way to solve this problem?

Try connecting it to a PC and use ADB to get into fastboot.

"Device is now booting." It stops here.
And is not recognized by the PC.
There is no driver problem.

Probably a stupid question but have you tried the button combo to get it into recovery whilst it's connected to the PC? Your PC probably isn't recognising it because it's stuck on device is booting now.

Volume Up + Power, Volume Down + Power, Volume Up + Power and all combinations.
However, the same screen is repeated.
Recovery mode, fast boot mode, and erase mode can not be entered in any mode.

Yes. The high suit is installed on the PC.
However, it is useless because the PC does not recognize the mediapad.

[Q] Bricked lgp700 after flashing cm 11.0

Hello,
I am very new to rooting etc. I rooted my phone a few days ago, unlocked bootloader and tried to flash cm11.0 with rom manager (cwmg) following this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521239
Unfortunately I didn´t understand the instructions well, so after wiping caches, instead of doing a full format I did a user data etc format (which i now think was a factory reset). Tried flashing, didn´t succeed.
Anyway, when I try to switch it on I only get the lg logo and then the batery charging thingy When I try to go to recovery mode with volume up power and menu button, my phone goes on a loop of lg and cyanomod logos untill infinity ( Have to take off the battery). Tried to use heimdall (as i have a mac) to flash kdz back to it, but phone was not recognized. On my pc tried the same, but again phone not seen. I can see it on my computer as an unrecognized external usb but cannot explore. Any ideas on what to do??
thanks in advance

As soon as you plug your USB into your phone, hold down the volume up (+) button and the power button and release them after holding them down for about 2 to 3 seconds. Then, install the USB driver for your phone with the LG Mobile Support Tool. Secondly, download and install the LG PC Suite program and last but not least, download the KDZ program. Install the correct firmware for your phone and make sure you select 'EMERGENCY' from the list on the top right of the KDZ program. Select your downloaded firmware file and start the program. If everything worked out, the program should crash after it's done and your phone should reboot. Disconnect your phone from the computer if it doesn't reboot and try to boot it up again.
You can find all of these programs along with tutorials on how they work by searching on either XDA or Google.
did forcing recovery/download work ?

Actually didn´t work,I have drivers already, LG PC Suite program , and KDZ. Problem is my phone is not detected by pc, so kdz unzips and then says : phone not detected, with or without battery...doesn´t go into recovery mode with buttons, just lg and cyanomod logos...
I don`t know if this can b fixed.....How can you flash anything if it´s not detected....
I´ll give it a try again tomorrow, without trying to enter recovery mode....but tried lots of buttons combinations and wasn´t working

What's your build number what version of supersu did you try to flash?
Shutdown your device, put your current build onto 'dload' folder in the sdcard and press the following key combo: POWER, VOL-UP & VOL-DOWN, it should enable automatic update process

Shut it down amd press those 3 keys combo.. upon seeing Huawei Logo and vibration, release the Power key while holding the other 2... That ought to do it
Man, your phone is badly bricked. If you don't have at least access to fastboot, then you're screwed.
Good for me to I have the same problem. I was trying to get to stock ( I have made it several times), but the last time was a fail... The whole process of sending firmware was ok. then a reboot and brick.
Now the huawei screen and the short vibration appears and shutdown.
I was trying everything.
In device manager the phone is displayed as mobile devices \ volume f:\ (drive letter)
in connected devices the phone is detected as
hi6210sft
Phone is not detected in fastboot or ADB.
I met this problem yesterday(I hope the identical ). Because I have two booting animations, one from Vodafone, I guess I shutdown early during installation. It just froze. Then it didn't boot and stock recovery didn't help
My solution needs some recovery software like twrp. Press three buttons at the same time until twrp mode. Copy zip file for SuperSU to phone or sdcard, then flash it. After that my phone works again.
You mentioned that you cannot start recovery. Try more. After installing twrp, starting it is quite annoying. Sometimes it just doesn't start or stock recovery starts. An alternative way is to go to whatever mode, and try adb or fast boot to reboot to recovery. Pressing button requires techniques which j don't have
I can't enter TWRP non combination is working for me. Installing firmware using dload from sd card also.
okay if non of these worked you can try flashing the whole update.app file by fastboot..
tools you will need
1- download the official huawei firmware from the official site
2- download Huawei Update Extractor
3- download minimal adb and fastboot
check the unbricking chapter of this thread
Note: to get in fastboot make sure you connected your phone to computer and press the vol down and power down buttons.. if none of these worked your phone is hard bricked .-. .. try opening the phone and reconnecting the battery worked with someone
if you need any help just pm me or replay on this thread hope that help you
Ok thx. I have already opened the phone to reconnect the battery
And then I was trying the combinations;
Battery connected vol- +power - Huawei logo and vibration and shutdown, no fastboot
Battery disconnected, vol-+power and connecting cable to phone - the same
Battery disconnected combination vol + vol - + ppwer, with sd card dload, the same
Battery connected combination vol + vol - power, sd card dload, the same
Any other suggestions?
The phone is recognized in Windows in device manager as mobile device as volume with a letter, I cant change the drivers to the right ones. I can't enter the storage it's unrecognized format.
Any other suggestions?

it is easy to suggest others.. I too advised you.. but today i am facing the same problem...
what I tried:
Reinstalling the same ROM using dload method
Upgrading to other ROM (using both dload and flashing 4 image method)
Downgrading
Restoring from the backup
At one point, the phone booted up all well except the Wifi Module... So I flashed another ROM and stuck again...
the worst thing that I don't have any connection to fastboot Each firmware installation method fails

yes, mine too... or I could say flashing succeeds but there's some problem with the boot partition... will get my phone today from the Customer Care and try again (if they can't repair).
you can try removing the back cover and unplugging the battery... that is one of the few things I will do today as I get my phone back..

ok made it back.. just flashed the boot.img from b594 (the one I was using when my mobile got bricked)... somehow made it back. But now I am having a problem with the battery. It doesn't charge when the device is switched on, only when the device is switched off... will see for few days, if there's problem will take it back to service centre again
I have already removed back cover and was trying to reconnect the battery to do clear run. But the only thing is discovered in windows is a driver for storage and I can't change the driver to ADB or FASTBOOT
Now I have connected phone w PC on adb devices I see only emulator-5554 device. In Device manager I see the storage as a Mobile Device.
Nope it was Bluestacks

TWRP install gone badly wrong i think

Cant put a picture because i don't know how. But this is all it says, and then nothing else happens. Just stays on that screen. Can't connect to my pc or reboot in Recovery mode it always ends here.
Hopefully one of you guys can help. In a bit of panic.

Just tryed to make the dload folder on the root of my SDcard but still no success. I havn't been able to start boot screen other than this locked screen.
I have tryed to start with volume up + power both volume up and down + power and volume down + power. Nothing changes, just get this screen everytime.
Cant do anything, not even shut the phone down, it only reboots. I have seen other simular problems, but they have been able to get to the screen with 3 options. I havn't been able to come to that part.
Plug USB cable to your phone but not on your computer, restart the phone and as soon as it restart press volume + (or volume - I don't remember which is fastboot) and plug the USB cable to the computer. So you can check if the bootloader is unlocked

[Solved] Moto G4 Plus hard bricked after rooting : won't detect qhsusb

I tried rooting Moto G4 Plus and just after flashing the supersu and rebooting, it got bricked. Nothing shows except LED blink while connecting to PC/charger. Also, it won't detect in the device manager as a qualcomm device/qhsusb bulk or anything... I seriously need your help. Please help.
PS: I surfed over various related threads and all of them required the device to be detected on PC.
1) are you able to power off your device, then hold down the power and volume down keys? Does that boot you into the bootloader?
Or can you hold the power button for 1-2 minutes to force a hard shutdown, then attempt to boot into the bootloader?
2) did you flash a custom kernel before attempting to root? On stock Nougat for our device, you need a custom kernel.
The device is already in the switched off stage. When I press and hold the power button, nothing happens. When connected to USB cable, the front LED blinks. Nothing more. It doesn't return any sound or indication while connecting to PC. I tried installing various Qualcomm drivers to get it detected on PC. The Windows device manager shows nothing.
I tried this tutorial to root my device. I missed flashing the elementalx kernel during the root process. it caused the brick.

That tutorial should work, provided you flashed the ElementalX kernel before rooting.
Hmm, what happens if you try to boot by holding down both the power button and the volume down key at the same time? You should still be able to boot into the bootloader (with the AP fastboot secure mode).
What TWRP and SuperSU did you try to flash?

I used twrp and supersu as exactly as mentioned in the root thread (twrp-3.2.1-0-athene.img & phh's supersu).
The key combo doesn't work either. No response. Is there any way to get it detected on PC?
I previously had it happened on my Yureka and I had to short the board to get it detected as a qcomm device.

That's odd, as that key combo should get you booting to the bootloader (as in the tutorial), which should then get your device detected via fastboot. Did your bootloader look similar to this when you were flashing TWRP?
https://plus.google.com/photos/106899236533864901773/album/6441285188929274337/6441285190332216978
If your device is still on, try a hard shutdown (hold power button 1-2 minutes until shutdown, verify it's off by connecting power, you should see the charging symbol come on), then boot by holding volume down and power at the same time.
You could also try a hard reboot https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/indevice_detail/a_id/110630/p/30,6720,9687
I just found that the volume down key is broken. I hope that's the reason it won't boot to the bootloader. Let me fix it first and try your suggestion.
And yes, the bootloader menu was the same as shown in this pic.
Thanks a lot for your time bro. Much appreciated.

I just disassembled the phone and flipped the volume rockers so that the volume down should work fine. Then pressed and hold vol - & power button. Violaaa. Got into the bootloader. On TWRP, Just wiped data and flashed the ElementalX followed by SuperSU. It's working super fine now. A billion hugs for your support.

I think I bricked my P10 Lite. Need help please

I was messing with my P10 Lite and I accidentally wiped the Vendor partition (not sure if I wiped anything else) with TWRP. After the phone rebooted it said something about a critical error during boot and went into erecovery. It gave me two options( I don't remember the second one) and I chose factory reset. It started doing it's thing but I guess something went wrong because it wasn't able to boot and it started to bootloop.
I managed to get into fastboot once. The bootloader and FRP should be unlocked but I am not sure as I think I semi accidentally used the command to relock the bootloader in the hopes of it doing the automatic low level factory reset. After that restart, the phone wanted to boot up but after the Huawei logo it went into the EMUI logo which I've shown in the pictures. Now I can't use any button combination and can't enter any menu. I also can't shut down the phone as it bootloops into the EMUI logo after I press the power button. I opened the phone and turned it off by detaching the battery cable but after holding the power down key and plugging the usb cable into the phone it still boots into the EMUI logo right after the Huawei logo.
I guess not being able to enter fastboot is the major issue and after hours of googling I am yet to find a solution.
Edit: I am a newb!
Please help!
Why did you delete the vendor partition, you could try plugging the phone into your computer and checking if you can do anything with fastboot while it's showing emui logo?

Ok, it seems like not all is lost about my phone. I managed to get into fastboot. In my situation, pressing volume down + usb cable while the battery was plugged into the phone did not work. That was before I opened up my phone's case and disconnected the battery cable.
As I mentioned before, I had opened my phone and disconnected the battery cable because that was the only way to shut it off.
What I did after I disconnected the battery cable was the following:
1 - Hold volume down and don't release it
2 - Plug in USB
3 - Plug in the battery cable into the phone's mobo.
That booted me into fastboot. Right now, the phone says my bootloader in unlocked and my FRP is locked. What would be the best way to flash the new stock OS on my phone?

I have downloaded THIS and THIS for the new OS but by talking with Alexxxx1 in THIS discussion I learnt that Huawei has implemented a security patch in their latest update, which I've most likely installed, that prevents you from rolling back your OS version. That means I need to install the .386 version, which should be the last if I am not wrong, instead of the .378 correct? Though I heavily dislike patches like this I guess I can't do anything about that...
