Hey guys. I've got a A2017 and AIDA64 says 68mm*122mm , 5.5" , 534dpi(xxxhdpi) but Cpu z says 5.46" , 537dpi.
Gsmarena says 5.5", 82.2 cm2 , 538 ppi but Phonearena says 5.5" , 534 ppi.
I already know that on the same resolution the higher the pixel density is , the lower the screen size will be.
I've also seen on the link below that AIDA64 shows 5.5"(534 dpi) for A2017 and A2017U and shows 5.46"(538 dpi , 68mm*121mm ) for A2017G.
https://community.zteusa.com/discussion/12161/axon-7-differences-between-models
So which one is the most accurate and real one for each variant?

Nope didn't work, I can't find a spec sheet everywhere. The model is S6E3HA3. Back in the day, someone found that another phone came with different screens, so they made an XDA article about it, and someone made a thread here asking to run a line on the terminal to see the screen model. Many people tried and it was the same for all of them (including me).
The thingy outputs zteSAM_S6E3HA3_SAM_25601440_5P5Inch

Have you even bothered to look at any reviews of the phone before making this pointless post? It really depends on what features in a phone you are looking for. e.g. smaller screen, style, hardware specs, etc. Supposedly there's another S5 version coming out (launching in Korea first) that has 2560 × 1440 resolution, compared to the current S5 at 1920 x 1080 res. Meaning that will match the LG G3 in terms of resolution currently available in the market which means higher PPI, but on a 5.1" device you're not going to really notice a difference. Also the LTE hardware in the phone is upgraded capable of reach 225Mb/s. The new S5 LTE-A will have the new Snapdragon 805 processor.

I'm torn between these two devices. My main concern is battery life.
I know the huawei mate 8 has the best battery life of all time. Wanted to know how the Axon 7 battery life is.
Thanks!

It's 3250 vs. 4000 mAh, so it's obviously not going to as good. From what I've heard, the Kirin 950 is more power efficient than the Snapdragon 820. There's also the matter of how optimized the OS will be, which we have no information on just yet. Really, if you're worried about battery life the most, go with the Mate 8.
FYI, I'm switching from a Mate 8 to a Axon 7. The battery life came along with aggressive PM that stopped music playback, delayed notifications, etc. I'll take the shorter battery life if I don't have to unlock my phone every five minutes to get my music to unpause.

Maybe he meant the Honor V8?
In my view about the only thing the Mate 8 has which is better is the 6" screen.
Other than that the axon is at least on par and has it beat pretty especially the speakers and the Snapdragon in it (better development than the kirin in the mate 8)
I wish ZTE had of made the axon 7 the 6" device instead of the low rent device they gave the bigger screen to.
The smallish screen is the only thing preventing me (well the locked BL for now also) from pulling the trigger on the 7...just dont think I will be happy unfortunately.

For me 6" is great, i miss my nexus 6.
The mate doesnt have front facing speakers and there isnt a ton of development for it so i passed on it
Would be nice if Huawei would stop putting their in house kirins in their devices and go with snapdragons...im sure development would really pick up.

It's true that the Kirin is bad for development but i don't see them putting aside their own hardware for something that isn't better (even worse if you look at thermal throttling) in real life usage...

Nah, too small especially when coming from a 5.7" note 3,4,5 nexus 6P and even more so the nexus 6 with the 6" screen. Im just used to bigger screens at this point.
Go big or go home

I had no issues with the size of the Nexus 6 either and still use it as one of my 2 daily driver phones. It has an excellent weight balance across the device as well, which made it very easy to maneuver around one handed when you have your index finger in the rear dimple.

For now it is but ZTE said its a matter of "when" they will let it be unlocked not "if".
I will wait until it happens personally then go from there.
Ill likely nab a note 7 for my primary device when it goes live in Aug (as long as there is a non edge version) but always buy another device for a secondary play toy, the axon would at this point be a good choice. The zenfone 3 deluxe may give it a run for the money though.

What if that "when" takes a year or more?
I'm planning to switch my OnePlus 3T with a Galaxy S8 SM-G950F.
My negotiation is for a 1 week used device. That's what the other side told me!
The S8 owner sent me a screenshot of CPU-z and for some reason, density and resolution won't match with the original specs. Here in Brazil we can be fooled with very good replicas.
Can someone attach a screenshot using cpu-z on DEVICE info tab?
Thanks in advance!

Is the oled panel made by Samsung? K20 owners please type *#*#6484#*#* and show the display section screenshot. Also does it have hdr support and dc dimming?
Choosing display only tests the display by showing colors, no info on manufacturer. Any programs that will tell me if it supports HDR or DC dimming? I tried googling "HDR on mobile" and it only brought info like for example a youtube video named "Why HDR is useless on a mobile"

Sorry, yes tapping the display section will take you to the color check, tap the Version Info(or something similar) which is usually at the top of the screen. Scroll down to get the ram and emmc and display version.
No useful information even when scrolled all the way down. Mainly serial/IMEI numbers.
I know earlier xiaomi phones had more info here, remember using it for my redmi note 3 pro to determine LCD panel.

Only IMEI amd serial numbers for the phone.
I checked some of my other xiaomi phones; poco f1: only shows the same limited info as Mi 9T. Redmi note 5 PRO: Shows full info including display info (Tianma TD4310).
So it is clear that xiaomi doesn't want us to see this information anymore.
Kimovil.com says it's the same panel as the pro, but heard one youtuber saying it's not

How is the display quality? On par with the Samsung amoleds? Need quality over branding.
Where are you from and how much did you pay?
The display is great, I can't see any quality difference comparing this to my Samsung A70. The calibration is slightly different "out of the box" tho, Mi 9T has slightly cold/blueish tint whites while A70 has warm yellowish whites. The Mi 9T feels slightly oversaturated (colors are slightly too intense, but this also makes image look like they have better contrast). The A70 has a more "true to life" calibration. Both have impressive max brightness, outdoor use is no problem.
I ordered the phone the exact day it was put up for sale on aliexpress, from the seller fantacy which I've had good experience with earlier as well. And sure enough the phone arrived just over two weeks later here in Norway. Paid $374 for the 128Gb, I have seen it as low as $335 for the 128Gb or $295 for the 64Gb after coupons on aliexpress during the midsummer sale. Ordering early never gives you the best price

You got dc dimming update? And please give a small feedback about the overall build quality.. Does it feel cheap anyways? And also the in hand feel (8.8mm thicc:-\).. And any other noticeable thing about this phone you didn't like or something?
Ps. What about the standard display mode. Offers better true to life colors right?
As for DC dimming I have no idea. I know what it is, but not how to check if I have it. Not noticed any eyestrain during low brightness so far, but not sure if I am able to notice the difference. (Not all people notice the PWM flicker).
The inhand feel is good, but this is no light phone! The most perfect phone I've used lately is Mi 9 SE, 6" screen and 155 grams is perfect size.
It has the best in-screen fingerprint reader I've used. (A70 one is soooo crappy, slow and 50% failure rate).
Nothing to dislike so far, maybe except the price is slightly high compared to chinese Redmi k20 pro which can be had for $387 with 128Gb storage now with SD855, but K20 pro misses LTE band 20 which I need.
I also have my concerns about the popup camera, how will dust/dirt affect it over time? But this is a concern for any phone with popup camera.

That's partially wrong, we can do overclocking in IPS panels, but it probably won't be as high since we need a really high quality display to reach high values on LCD.

No, in theorically we can do that. IPS is LCD, and in PC IPS monitor, I overclocked 75 to 90 HZ without problem but the point is that is really clearly shows different in real life.
