Please specify whether it's charging or not. If it's charging slowly, there are several threads/posts about that. Just do some research. If it's definitely not charging it can be a hardware fault(charger, cable, port, battery...)

Battery only get charged in Ap fastboot
Hi,
My moto g4 plus discharge when connected to any charger including the original charger and only recharges in ap fastboot mode that too very slow and sometimes doesn't recharge at all but when it start getting charged it take around a whole day to get charged upto 100%.The original charger seems ok as it recharges other mobiles.
I have also hardbriked my hand set while trying to find a solution. Thanks to @siddhesh9146 [GUIDE] Moto G4 Plus HardBrick SOLVED - ULTIMATE UNBRICKING GUIDE. But My battery problem remains the same.

[Problem] Battery lost quick charge capacity ?

Last night I put to charge my XT1563 with its motorola charger it dispolayed the message Turbo Charging as always. This morning phone was dead, no signs of charging or recharging whatsoever. After a while of having it connected to a "normal" charger it started again to charge, but hooking it up with turbo charger does nothing, I mean it simply ignores the fact that there is a cable hooked up. I have also noted that my computer no longer sees the phone, whereas before it always detected it and asked what to do with it.
Anybody has had the same problem? My guess is that the battery needs replacing as when I use my motorola charger on my wife phone it pops again the message "turbo charging"...
Any help is appreciated.

Switch your phone off at night and check your battery level the next morning. If the battery can keep his charge no replacement is needed and a factory reset could do the trick.
It does keep the battery level and already did 2 FR - still no turbo charge ,not recognized by PC.
Looking around for FL40 for a battery replacement but cant find one available .....
Personally, I think that a battery that doesn't charge on a certain charger, but can hold a charge once it is charged is not the principal suspect. Check the connector, the cable, the software, etc before replacing the battery.

Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 ( SM-A510FD ) Charging Issue

Hi geeks. Im using Samsung A5 2016 phone. Now, my phone takes 6 or 7 hours for a complete charge. My phone is capable of Fast charging. Its not there too. In spite of Fast Charging, my phone should have normal charging capabilities right? But No. My phone charges as if i have connected to a laptop/PC. TOOOO Slow. There is problem with battery discharge. Only charging matters. I tried different cables, different adapters, official adapters/cables... Nothing worked. When i go to Battery in settings, its showing "USB Charger connected". But im connected to Wall charger, not a PC/lap. I think its a software issue, i don't know. Please help me guys.
Have you tried to factory reset the phone?

Also, you should try using another chager. Maybe your charger / cable has gotten faulty and doesn`t output he right voltage. Also, use your charger with another phone with the same model as yours. If it works on another phone, either your charging port has issues, or you have software problems.

Turbo 2 not charging via cable

Turbo 2 isnt charging via any cable anymore. It might connect for a minute but then stops charging even though the charging icon has the bolt.
It does charge via wireless charging but its very slow.
I know that this is a problem with this device and have tried searching but haven't seen a solution. So it seems to be a hardware issue with the port or connection to the battery.
The cable may be off. Qualcomm's system is very dependent on good connections at the USB 2.0 edge, along with good cabling. It's very touchy about that even if it's functioning right. This is even with their wall-wart.
If no cable coupled with a properly licensed Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 or 3.0 power device (Wall-wart, battery brick, or Car charger...) has it going into anything other than USB charging and an old-school fast-charger won't put it into at least AC mode, you've got a defective Charge Controller- which equates to needing a replacement. Lenovo's been...coy...about the whole thing with a HUGE thread over on their forums over the whole affair. You'll need to have something resembling a warranty (which includes the "insurance" on the phone that Verizon offers...) and explicitly show them the fail with several devices. Going into AC charge mode doesn't count. If it's the wall-wart or any QuickCharge device, it needs to go into Turbo mode with 60% or less charge. It can go into Turbo mode with more charge in hand, but it's not required by the spec for anything more than the 60%.
If it doesn't go into Turbo mode at all or show AC with a QuickCharge device of ANY kind, they have to own that the thing's broken/defective and work with you at that point.

Between this (on my second phone, exchanged just within Warranty) and the fact that they won't allow any unlocking of this phone, I'm quite a bit less than happy with Lenovo right now.
I took my Turbo 2 with this issue to Verizon and they replaced it with a Moto Z Force Droid for free. Granted it was a refurbished one, but I welcomed the upgrade. You should probably talk to your local Verizon store, not just a Verizon authorized dealer.

Moto G4 plus having ghost screen and heating while charging.

Hello,i m using moto G4 plus for about 2,3 days now,and its having already nougat in it while i buy it.. The problem is while i charge with the turbo charger its becoming soo hot without any reason..i tried all the possibilities for changing it like, changing the connector port, made phone in airplane mode while charging, but no luck, then also its heating..and now the nmain problem is the ghost screen issue..when i was charging the touch is not responding ,like its moves on like it wishes, but now when not charging also the ghost screen is there while using my phone for sonething the screen works its own..Anyone please helpp.. I have one doubt too if this happens beacause due to the turbo chargger ,can i change the charger and have a low volt charger which can help the phone from heating and ghost like issues.. My turo chatgers details are. ::Input 100-240V -50/60Hz 0.5A
Standard Output: 5V ----1.6A
Then its written, some ,
TURBO 1 OUTPUT:9V----1.6A
TURBO 2OUTPUT:12 V-----1.2A
These ,are the details of the turbo charger if i use a charger with some other specs for charging ,i mean having less volt charger may be the phone will not have the heating issues and all. The another charger deatails are
Input:100-240V---50/60Hz. 0.2A
Output:+5V----1A
Can i use this volt charger for moto g4 plus ..please suggest is there any problem for phone while i use this another charger????? Please help...
You should be able to use that 1A charger without issue, and your phone should be somewhat cooler whilst charging (I use an Apple iPhone charger, which is rated at 5V, 1A, for overnight charging). It'll charge slower than the Turbocharger, but won't heat up your phone quite as much. Ensure this charger is of a reliable brand and in good condition.
As you've noted, the power transferred to your device via the Turbocharger will heat up your device - I've noted the battery appears to reach about 45 degrees Celsius when left to charge. Try not to use your device whilst it's Turbocharging (or if you really need to, try to keep it to light reading), put it on a desk or somewhere where it'll be as cool as possible. However, apart from changing the charger as previously mentioned, the heat is a result of charging the device at a fast rate.
As for ghost touch, you may have to refer your device for service or for a replacement if it persists.

Nexus 7 (2012) battery issue?

i have a Nexus 7 (2012 version) that my daughter-in-law gave me (several years ago) because it would not boot. i previously reinstalled the OS and she was good for a while until the issue resurfaced. so i'd like to reinstall the OS again or install the successor to CyanogenMod.
however, the tablet will not even try to boot now when i turn it on, even if it is plugged in. all that i see is some backlighting. what i would like to know is if this could be due to a battery that is completely dead and can not be charged. i could buy a replacement battery for about $15 but really don't want to waste my money if the tablet should at least boot up when it is plugged in.

It wouldn't boot up if the battery is completely discharged (and dead), even if you plug in. When was the last change of battery done? If it is the initial one which came with the device, it is likely that the battery is dead.
@gwa000 there is another glitch with the battery of the Nexus 7: if the battery is drained too much, it's not even charging. I ran into a similar situation some time ago and I solved it be disconnecting the battery and re-connecting it again. After connecting the charger I finally got the charging animation.

i think that this was the problem, that the battery was drained to much and would not even try to charge. i previously tried disconnecting/reconnecting batter to no avail.
came across this and this solved the problem:
laptopdoctor.wordpress.com/2015/08/26/jumpstarting-battery-in-bricked-google-nexus-7-tablet-from-asus
it partially charged the battery and i was able to complete the charge normally.
now i can at least boot up (sort of). i get the spinning circles ("boot loop"). i've tried the normal Recovery Mode options to no avail so i'll have to reload the OS. i have a feeling that there is a RAM (i.e. memory) or Flash memory (file storage) issue as this has happened before. but i'll post questions concerning those in another thread.
thanks!
I've run into this issue plenty with my Nexus 7 since it isn't used much.
You can plug the Nexus 7 into a 2Amp or greater charger that is on a switch of some sort (power strip, wall switch, etc) and flip the switch on and off roughly every 3 seconds (turn it on until you see the backlight flicker for a second, then turn it off, repeat). For me it takes about 2-3 minutes of doing this and then I get the charging animation.
If you don't have a switched outlet available, removing the USB from the charger (NOT FROM THE NEXUS) and plugging back in works as well, just more tedious.

That solution is terrifying. 5V USB is NOT a good way to supply voltage to a lithium cell. If you have a dedicated lithium charger and connected direct that would be one thing but I would suggest never doing what that website suggests again, as unregulated voltage can cause a lithium cell to explode.

believe me i was sort of apprehensive about doing it and only did it for two 15 minute cycles!! if it happens again i'll try your method. when i was trying to charge it normally i was using my Nexus 7 (2013) charger which outputs only 1.35A (since my daughter-in-law never gave me her charger). i ended up completing the charge using my Asus laptop charger which is 2.0A (which is what the original Nexus 7 (2012) version used). don't know it i tried using the 2.0A charger from the outset would have allowed it to charge. my impression is the that amperage only affects the speed of charging. plus from what i read on the net if the battery gets in a deeply discharged state the normal charging would not work. although i will try your method should this re-occur.
thanks!

Glad it's working! I use an old HP touchpad charger or an Anker charger for all my devices.
The underlying cause of it not booting is due to the battery having smart protection so it doesn't explode when it gets too low. A multimeter will say 0v on the battery controller output, but if you were to probe the actual battery cell output it may be anywhere from 1.8v to 3v. I'm not sure the exact cutoff voltage. If the physical cell was at 0v it would never recharge, it would just explode once power is applied.
The method online and my method both do the same thing. We shock the smart controller and trick it into charging. My method is a trickle charger method, where regulated charging voltage is applied for a few seconds safely until the tablets charging circuitry detects if the battery is OK or not. The 3 seconds it takes to flash the display is that initial test. When it fails the test the charging circuitry shuts down.
By blasting 5v into what is probably a 3.3v (or 6.6v) circuit, you're doing the same thing, but just bypassing the tablet charge circuitry that shuts down when it can't see the battery.
I will say the toggle power to the charger method works for anything that has a battery, to a point. I've had it work for windows tablets and laptops, iPods and iPads, even the occasional USB battery bank.
