I have a US factory unlocked version of the LG G6 and it has been working fine up until about two hours ago. The phone rebooted itself for no apparent reason but after it started back up, it wasn't able to record or play any sort of video. For example, using the camera app, snapchat etc for video recording either crashes the app or tells me "video recording failed." Plus, the phone can't play videos on any platform such as youtube, facebook etc. Furthermore, audio does not play in any form (ringtones, music etc).
I've tried rebooting the phone but i noticed now it takes upwards of 5 minutes to restart as opposed to the 30 seconds it used to take. I also tried factory resetting it but that had no effect on the problem. I'm not too sure on what else to try, so i'm wondering if anyone here has any idea.
If you are using a custom rom try to switch to stock, disable root and lock the bootloader. If the problem persist is a factory problem.

Not sure if i'm the only one having this issue because i couldn't find any other thread about this, but my camera app is terribly frustrating. Everytime i open it, it just hangs, i cant press any buttons, i cant take a picture...it just doesnt work. It opens up fine, the image moves but when i press on the shutter, nothing happens, shutter, settings, mode, video, just nothing. The only way i can fix this is with a reboot.
Any suggestions?
That's really weird only thing I will suggest is to factory reset if a simple hard reboot does not work. Also try to uninstall some apps your recently installed. That could be the cause of your problem.

I've formated my S4 a few times since i got it, by ODIN and by the format utility in the phone, the issue was always back.
I also do have TERRIBLE performance with the gallery app, it's slow, just deleting a picture or loading one can take 1 minute

I fixed this by disabling whatever browses the network for images and video you can view when you have the Gallery open. I think it was the Nearby Service, and I know I also disabled the AllShare services as well. As soon as I did that, my Gallery worked like normal again. (I used Titanium Backup and froze the apps).
Hey all,
Phone seemed fine last night. Woke up this morning, I have no audio at all. This includes videos not playing, music not playing, no sound when I press the volume buttons, and no startup sound.
One thing I thought it could have been was the latest facebook update. I uninstalled it, and it fixed the sound, but on another restart the problem happened again.
I have rooted my phone, and flashed with firmware, but it was so long ago that I can't remember what version or anything it was.
Any help?

What's the best way to do a factory reset?
Hmm, I tried a factory reset a few times using "Vol Up + Home + Power" then factory reset/wipe data, I still have no sound. I tried to play and mp3 and it said "sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file" when I select sound player. So it seems the codecs or drivers are missing I guess???
Also, keeps randomly restarting too
Starting Friday my phones been running slowish, keep getting worse and worse. I would reset, take the battery out hold down the power button, turn it back on. It would only briefly fix the issue.
So long story short here is the problem. When ever any of the following happens, I go to play music, to record a video, watch a video (via app, browser or player), or the screen times out.
If I do a video or music the app freezes, the screen will go black an sometimes never cuts back on. If it does its very slow and not responsive. If the screen times out, I can get back in but with no sound.
I have flashed back to stock (odin to NB1) hoping this will fix the issue, but didn't, re-flash a NB1 stock Kernal, still didn't fix the issue (actually made it worse, no sound never).
Prior to all this happening, I was running a STOCK rooted rom. The only thing that changed was the SMS app I was using went from 14 free trail to ad supported. I really hate to think the app had anything to do with it. I was not running any ad blocker.
So any ideas? I believe its goner be a loss. Is there an app I can get to test hardware, see if there is a problem there?
UPDATE: I ended up taking it to Best Buy and they used their software to re-image the phone. They did it to 5.0.1., and then the screen rotate didn't work. Odin to stock and trying this again.
So my first 6P worked fine, but had a small tear in the Display without me dropping it. Now I received a new device with intact screen, but the screen shows some weird flickering from time to time. I can't pin down the cause, but I realized the flickering when scrolling through the device settings, when setting the alarm in AlarmDroid, sometimes when using the keyboard and in some games. Also, the google keyboard sometimes stops reacting and hangs up and when i changed the screen brightness, the phone switched randomly to the lockscreen.
I already tried booting the phone in safe mode. Here I get an error "Google play services has stopped". I already tried updating the play services, but the problem persists.
Are these hardware related problems? I already tried a factory reset, but the problems persist. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems and worked out a fix?
Are you completely stock?
Yes, I am completely stock. I copied the apps/data from the old phone via wifi.

The flickering could be a hardware problem. You could try starting completely fresh by performing another factory reset and flashing the factory images, but that would mean having to unlock your bootloader. I'd probably just get it replaced.
Hey guys,
My Moto G4 keeps crashing whenever I try to make a phone call. Every time I select to make a call it freezes and after a bit it goes home saying that the app crashed and if I want to wait or close it out. Also none of my YouTube videos want to play, whenever I select a video it loads for a second and then gives me an error that says "There was a problem while playing (Playback ID: IASD7URR43oViijA (changes on every video)) Tap to retry".
I have tried many possible solutions found on different forums such ass clearing cache, removing apps, factory reset, even went as far as to actually root and install a custom Rom(Lineage OS) and a few other things. However, both issues still persisted. At this point it's pretty frustrating and I just really want to get this fixed. Has anyone encountered this problem and has successfully been able to resolve any of them? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
If a factory reset did not do it and if it is still under warranty consider sending it in as it only takes about 5 business days.
