: O lol nice...
nothing yet for me.
I got one about 2 weeks ago
i got another battery but the battery i already was using is the same one t-mobile sent me
Yep, I got the recall notice sitting here too. I had my Wing back in June of 2007 and I noticed that it would get pretty hot at times. I blamed the Chicago weather of course.
I only received 1 new battery, even though I have a spare Dynapack that T-Mobile also sent me.
got mine yesterday
i was just wondering where you live. I live in Houston, TX and i've yet to recieve mine
No battery for me, I had to buy my own off of ebay because my dynapack overheated so bad it expanded and popped the back cover off. The one I bought was a celxpert.
Does this battery recall apply only to "old" Wing?
I got my wing like 3 weeks ago. Does this mean it has the "replaced" battery?
How to tell if I am affected by this recall or not?
Thanks!
The recall wa for Dynapac units. They are being replaced by Celxpert units. A few bad batches had escaped through the system and they had to recall all of the Dynapacs.
Is there a way to "ask" for this? My friend (and neighbor) received his.. but have yet to see one at my door.

I'd like to know this too... i've been searching all over and haven't been able to find anything.
I bought mine off ebay with a Dynapack battery so i'm definitely not getting one "automatically", i'd like to know if there is some sort of request form to fill.
Thanks.

I read about the recall about 6 weeks ago, so i called and they said they will be sending it out to all T-mobile Wings- and was supposed to expect it end of april.
Last week i called, and they said they have no idea or indication of a recall! There was nothing wrong with the batteries.
then they said that they are only sending it out to "Some" that have the defective battery- so i asked how they know which is defective or not- they said that when people call in and ask or tell them of the defect. So i asked do they want to know of the defect before or after it blows up in my pocket- she said that there was a heating issue in some of the batteries and they dont blow up <which then contradicts her statement of "no recall/no bad batteries">
So eventually i got her to send me one since i got my Wing in Oct and its not holding a good charge at all.
so ask, but be ready to get the run around. im thinking of bloging or brining up this issue of the recall that never was
hey just wondering if anyone here has a 2nd shipment box of the htc desire z? i mean by this. when the phone is first released its the 1st shipment and apparently in the 2nd and 3rd shipments they fix issues with the phone like the hinges (more durable) and things like software, hardware. Does anyone know if they have sent then 2nd shipment of phones out?
Nothing's been changed between the first, second, or third shipments, as there is no actual problem with the hinge, and the only real software issue is the Microsoft Exchange issue, which will be fixed via OTA update.
Sent from my HTC Vision
Any actual info about the OTA update for Exchange 2010? Has anyone got confirmation this will happen??
We'll only really be able to tell on this if we see the serial/model numbers change significantly. I'm not convinced there's anything changed on the DZ from what has been posted here. It's on the G2 where there was supposedly a later batch with stronger hinges, though I'm not 100% convinced on that either.

Why does this issue about the hinge keep being mentioned in all the reviews I have seen if there isn't an issue with it?

Cause people search for issues.. with normal use THERE AINT NO PROBLEM... Yes, if you hold the Upper part with your fingers the lower part will drop down thats gravity my friend.. you want it so tight that it stays together ?? well better get superman to open up than cause than it will be to tight.. People will complain to complain... ive had my device for a day now, used it on the street, behind my pc, in my bed and i have a pretty loose hinge and never ever did it close on me when using..
The reason i said this is because as stated above, the G2 had a few minor fixes. I come from a Galaxy S and the 2nd and 3rd shipments of those phones "supposdly" have been more reliabe and their internal sd card do not die as frequently. I just wanted to confirm that there were any minor changes in 2nd or 3rd shipments!
As for warranty issues, where is the best place to buy from in Ontario where i can buy it outright and still have warranty? i tried bell, best buy and wireless wave. But apparently all their "extended warranties" are BS and dont help anyone out. (commission ftw?.wow)

If you have a problem you just contact HTC directly. They will probably send you a refurb or new one and put a hold on your credit card until they get the old one back.

I have heard that they do this, but i want to make sure by someone who has tested that and actually got a refurb one. I think ive seen alot of people in the G2 forums get them correct?
Like a lot of people here, I sent my phone in directly by calling Samsung, I sent mine in on the 21st, so Im anticipating at least one more week. Also, does anyone know how to find out updates on the repair? All I got was a UPS tracking number which tells me the package arrived on the 22nd. Other than that, I have no idea whats happening with my phone right now.
Hi All,
I like many others made the mistake of ordering the Nexus 7 through the Google Play UK store (Paid extra to get it after everyone else FTW). After running into the screen lift issues, swiftly followed by some dead pixels, i decided to get a replacement.
Initial request for a replacement was made on 27th July, then again on 4th Aug, both with no reply. There also does not seem to be a way to contact them via phone.
Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone got a number to call in the UK?
Losing my patience with Google.
Rob
Is anyone else having trouble ordering a Moto X Pure from Motorola. I ordered mine on Wednesday night and they put my order on hold and it looks like now they have cancelled it. I just got off the phone and they say they are still reviewing the order. Is anyone else having a similar problem?
Mine was put on hold and they told me it will probably be taken off hold Tuesday.
They just sent me notice, that assembly of my device has begun. So mine is off hold.
That's good to know. I got a call from Motorola yesterday that made it sound like they were going to get it worked out today? When did you order yours?

I ordered mine just after 12PM PT the first day it was available for pre-order. They contacted me saying it was on hold about 1.5 hours later and I immediately called them to follow up. From there, they told me it would be reviewed and processed.

I received an email from Motorola regarding my order being placed on hold. I have to wait a day or so to update anyone who is interested in the outcome.
