You got a brick now, you shouldn't have tried turning it on.. Or charging it. Just let it dry and then try turning it on or charging it.

Did you put it in dry rice? I read several times that this is the best way to get moisture out of it when it got wet.
Your phone is definitely damaged in some way. White LED is meant to turn on to indicate exactly this. MXP is splash-proof but not water-proof unfortunately, so it looks some water penetrated your device. You shouldn't have tried to turn it on or charge straight away before drying it off, because that could actually make things even worse. If you care about the phone let some serviceman have a look at it, to determine if it's a brick or not.
Moto X Play is a very bad swimmer! (
100% damage when immersed into water. There is nothing to save, if phone wasn't turned off and took quick to specialist.

Hallo
I am having a serious issue with my tytn. It seems to be all dead. When I plug it into the power supply there's a red light, but that's the only sign of life.
I cannot turn it on on the on button and I cannot soft reset it. I have tryed to reinsert the battery, but nothing seems to work.
It happened overnight, but can it be a liquid damage. I have had it in my pocket, so maybe that has damaged it, allthough it worked fine yesterday, when I had it in my pocket.
I had a similar issue with another pda I had, a pocket loox 600, where it suddenly went dead, but after a few days it woke up again. Could this be the same story, or do you have any other suggestions for what has happened to it?
Magnus
Not likely to be a problem with the TyTn but with the battery. Try the suggestions here: (often caused by leaving on charge overnight.)

But otherwise it's a new battery I think.

If it is moisture damage likely there will be a red dot inside the case under the battery. If no moisture then it will still be white. These have been known to activate due to sweat in a pocket, or humidity so they aren't 100% indicative of moisture damage. But if it is red you are 100% out of luck for warranty replacement.
As the previous poster stated your issue is most likely a bad battery though, I would try replacing that first.

First: thank you for the quick replies.
Which red dot are you refering to? There is a white dot above the battery by the camera. On this white dot it says "void" with red script.
Magnus
lol it says void? that doesnt sound good..

No, the "VOID" sticker is there to make sure you don't open your TyTN, that way you you try to remove the screw under the "VOID" sticker, you essentially break the seal which means no more warranty for you.
ohhh ok .. lol I thought it was like a drivers license hologram thing that says void when its been tampered with ..lol
I guess I will just have to hand it in for repair.. Luckily all the datas are syncronised with my computer.
Hope they find out what is wrong and repair it.

Did you try my suggestions in my link above - no guarantee they will work to get the battery going, but worth a try.
Mike
Note that the LED can also be red just if the battery is 100% out of juice. The PDA also won't turn on if this is the case, even if you have it plugged in.
If you leave it charging for a few minutes, it will turn to amber and the PDA will be able to turn on.
Also, don't be afraid to hit the reset button if it just won't turn amber.
If you're still stuck, yes you will want to start by swapping out the battery.
Mike: I tryed to insert the battery while on charge, but nothing happened. Now I have taken the battery out and will try the steps again in an hour.

Could be man, cuzz i turned it off and removed the batt for like 10 min.
Put it back in and it was all normal.
But i still wants to know what is causing this.
Could be the battery is overheating, if you have a case or a cover on the phone try taking it off and leaving it off, also just to test, prop your phone up on it's side, see if it stays cooler ...
These batteries are "Intelligent" and I use that term very loosely , and if they overheat they tell the phone ...
happy
Yes the battery does overheat and HTC did at one point say if it reaches a certain temperture the phone will stop charging. Honestly though I think if you can spare it, by a new battery.
Thnx all,
And to Reply,
I dont have a cover on the phone so its the batt. yeah,
Its all normal now but still i dont think its good
Maybe by changing your radio it can helps you!
the reason way, wit some of my experience, but can not explain how it is possible I have notes that with some radio's my battery heat up and with some radio it don't do it!
The greed and orange alternating light means the battery isn't quite right to be charged... When I've had the charger cord on the device but had been playing with it a lot and the battery or handset are warm, the greed and orange alternating lights will flash... If you turn the device off (not power off, just the screen) and leave it sitting there, it will eventually go to a solid orange light and start charging...
It did this with the original battery and several ebay ones...
Everyone should get a few cheap ($4 US) batteries anyway in case of emergency...
But the greed and orange alternating light isn't a sign of anything being busted...
Ok i got an extremely bad problem
i brought a hd2 from ebay with a fault, which was the person said he dropped the phone and the screen cracked then he replaced it with new screen and digitizer, but he said after he did that the phone only starts up sometimes, anyway i won the bid and when i recieved it i put the charger in and it turned on by itself and was stuck ar htc screen i took the charger out and the phone went off, so i put the charger back in again and it didnt turn on this time, tookout battery and did reset and hard reset and still nothing? the phone doesnt have hardspl.
so i opened the phone up and look to see if anything was lose which it wasnt and i also manged to damage the volume flex cable and the bottom buttons flex!
so i left my phone overnight and in the morning i put the battery in and put it on charge and A RED LED LIGHT CAME ON!!!! which means it was charging so i thought if i press the reset button it come on, so i pressed the soft reset and nothing came on and the red light dissapeared and it doesnt come back again?
Can anybody help me whats wrong?
Since the previous owner has dropped the phone, anything could have went wrong.
First, check the battery pins on your phone, and make sure they are straight (not bent, not eve a little)
Hi I tryed that but it still don't work, also to follow up I put my htc in fridge for 5 mins and put in usb and orange light comes on so I left it for couple of hours and after it finished charging it virbrates and screen comes on but it just stays black so I took out battery and it didn't startup, so battery is fully charged and I. Put phone back in fridge and put usb back in and orange light came on again, so this time I pull out usb cable and the light is still on??? And I pull out battery and it goes off I don't know what's wrong???? Its driving me nuts!!!
Edit - ignore what I wrote above, okay I left phone in fridge and I put battery in and then I put in usb and orange led light comes on then the phone vibrates and the htc logo screen comes up but it is frozen there and I can't reset because I have no buttons because I broke the flex ribbon. I pull out battery and it turns off and it doesn't come back on so I put usb in and then battery and nothing but I can feel a tiny bit of vibration but not as strong as before. Its soo wierd the phone only powers when I leave it in fridge.
really need a solution fast
Please guys I really need a solution, don't leave me hanging. I was going to buy a new motherboard but I don't know whether its worth it because I font want to waste money.
I can't answer your question. But I know for fact that if the hd2 overheats monsterously the processor melts off it's spot or something and the phone starts to reboot at 25-30 Celsius degrees and that could explain cooling it down lets it boot. My suggestion is to sell the phone on Ebay as SLIGHTLY damaged Hahahah!
infact thats what i done i put it on ebay if anyone wants it let me, mint condition except boot failure I don't think it the processor because I can connect to usb and it comes as qualcomm data
The phone tries to turn on because I see the vibration motor turn once but nothing else happens?
facepalm.
....
Was there any need of facepalm makes you look like a retard. Don't do it please
Hey everyone..i dropped my defy into sea and now everything is working fine except the notification light..it got damaged and is always on with the green color (even when its off)..the warranty got over as the service center guy showed me the water damage..so does anyone know any website from where i can order this notification light and get it replaced by my repair shop..?..Plz help
I'm sorry to tell you, but the fact that it stays always on means that the LED is actually fine (a broken LED usually means a burned-out LED, so no light). So it's not the LED, but something else, and changing the LED won't solve the problem.

Short circuit. Open the battery lid, remove the battery and put the phone in rice. Yes, in rice! Rice absorbs the humidity. Another thing you could try is a hair dryer but don't put it on "High" and keep moving it, don't hold it in one spot for a long time.
Or you could leave the phone opened in the sun on a sunny day.

if it is a short circle than drying wont help it (after that much time). Something corroded and that must be fixed
you can know is it a hardware problem or software
if is a software problem you can fix it:
1-try Factory data reset
2-change your rom "CWM" or SBF flash"RSD Lite"
see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465436&page=2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-896836.html
http://www.askmefast.com/How_do_I_turn_off_green_light_on_Motorola_Defy-qna1848247.html
if is a hardware problem:
it must be short circle, if all kinds of drying ways didn't make any changes, that another thing, could be:
-corrosion or rust in the plate circuit
-damage of a electronic piece, depending on your problem's type, it doesn't seem to affect the operation of the device "secondary functions electronic device"
