...Me too... and I have a justification. This HTC is a 'low budget' model . I understand that people work to find a way for unlock and they want to earn some cash for this. However, I think there are plenty of more expensive models, which are owned by users who can pay more easily the amounts required to unlock.
I think they (unlockers ) earn enough money from the expensive phones and that they can do some 'concessions' for the low-price models.
So please, have mercy...
P.S. Excuse the mistakes above. I translated with google and tried to more accurate on where I got it. I hope, however, to understand the idea

My buddy just got an X10 - I'm very familiar with other android phones, but this one seems a little unique. I also noticed he is running 1.6.
What suggestions would you guys make?
Root possible? If so, what is the best method and custom ROM?
Are there plans for 2.1+ in the near future?
Any must have apps?
What are the safe apps to remove if root is possible?
You guys get the idea.. sorry for not browsing too much, but I can't learn a new phone in such a short period, especially when it's not mine.

yes, use oneclick.apk (for root)

Trust me, read some of my posts for the phones I do own, and you will see I acknowledge how bad it is to post without researching, but I also admitted this is not my phone and do not want to put too much energy into it.
XDA is full of people willing to help, and you guys know this phone better than I ever will. My buddy could use some help...

Members in this section don't like to go over what's already been gone over many times before, especially when you've stated "read some of my posts for the phones I do own, and you will see I acknowledge how bad it is to post without researching" but then do so anyway.
If your friend joins, reads, then asks questions on the numerous threads which answer what you asked then people will be more than happy to help.
I just started on this site within the last few weeks, and everything you need to know could have been answered with about ten min of reading, less time than it took to post your questions and wait for replies

Whatever you do, if you root, don't delete system apps. (IE: Timescape, Mediascape, Dialer, Browser).

I would love to know which country has over 25 hours in a day, over 65 minutes in an hour, adopts this system as standard, and is a significant enough market for Samsung to build it into their stock software.

That is not a culture from other countries! This is just a simple error. I flashed a mod that wasn't for my firmware version. I restored my Nandroid and it was fine again. I just want to know if someone also have errors like that?

Edit: sorry about the snarky comment. It was unnecessary and dumb and I deleted it. We all make mistakes...
Had I not seen that same similar representation before when dealing with localization I wouldn't have made such a seemingly silly observation and would have questioned the error as blatantly as others.

Japan has TV shows starting at 25:65?
I overlooked the minutes. But yeah there are shows that starts at like 25:30 and that simply means 01:30 the next day.

People who has downloaded the app used it have given good rating and feedback. But still downloads are not at all increasing.
All my request to app info sites for review has not been replied or they will ask for money
Looks like there is no scope for good developers with no budget

That's not true: if the app is worth it will be reviewed by some important site such as xda portal (for free) and will start getting a good amount of downloads. Of course you need to keep on promoting on the forums etc.
By the way, what's your application?

I don't know it was my experience till now. Had sent review request for several sites but without any luck.

I can't find it. Maybe there is a problem with the distribution settings in the developer console?

I've had more success sharing my app on Reddit and tweaking the keywords in the description than with review sites myself.
I have also added a review prompt in the latest version which seems to be helping so far, fingers crossed.

Google Play has some free channel to help developers promote their apps, but that requires some downloads in some days or something like that.
So, you can try make cooperation with someone, and recommand your app via partner channel.
then you may have the chance of listing in Top New Free to Google Play. :laugh:

I think here XDA forum is also a place for hunting partners :lol
Getting some websites to review your app sure can be challenging. Those websites get hundreds of emails a day and it is hard to scan through all of them, but some of them might pick you up on the offer.
I personally posted on Reddit and it didn't get much attention...I might need to try it again, but maybe people didn't like the app...

I believe that the best always rises to the top.You do not even need to market your app.It only takes a man to download your app and get the ball rolling.If your blog is interesting and useful,you don’t need to do much else.Example of this is the popularity of Instagram.

This only works for some very special cases; for the others, a bit of "push" is necessary.
To my mind, the quality of the app does evrything by itself.
We had the same problem after we have launched (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/good-weather/id601784766).
We found out that the best way is to approach our users who were engaged with the app.
We thought of a compelling way to ask them to rate us at the store /share the app with a friend/ tweet etc and it worked beyond our expectations...
Bottom line - when you ask someone who likes you nicely at the right time you are much more likely get respond.
We have since decided to develop it to a product which other developers can use - www.kudos-kit.com
Right now Reddit is a good way to promote your app, but best way is here in XDA.
Also, post it on forums allways can help a lot, since most of review sites are not free....

It's not only about nougat,i searched pretty well before posting and found no "Discussion" thread, please let me know if there is already one so i talk to mods and delete this thread,thank you.
I have updated EMUI 5 for honor 8. And after factory reset my icons are not displaying. It shows blank screen. i have tried restart, power off &on and reset all settings and also tried adding different app but not coming back. Checked and found that huawei home 6.3.47 apk is installed and may be i need to try re-install that apk. Help me to fix this issue.

I'm satisfied but not more than that. It's an OK phone but definitely not the greatest. I regret selling my Nexus 6P and choosing this one instead, that's for sure!
