Hello to all , this things happens to me about every week , i reflashed ,works for a weak without problems then the same again,When i clear the cache works good for a weak and then the same again , is it a softwear problem or hardwear , should i sent it to service? Its on warranty but im afraid they won't do anything they will reflash see that it work and send it back.....

i'm posting this thread because i've been struggling to get some help with this issue. i.ve googled for any fix but didnot find one...
motodefy on CM7
just unlocked my motodefy which was locked on orange before(unlockcode used),
i am now using a 3uk sim... 3uk settings is there in the APN
problems:
1.hangs when i am in the middle of a call ( cant here anything/cant do any call/ and cant receive any call) handset does not hang coz am able to move between menus, open and use apps)
2.after it hangs i cannot use data I.e download, google store coz that one freeze as well.
3. sometimes when its hangs, i cannot end the call (like if the dialer hangs is frozen, i press the end call button, it says hanging and it stays like that, but sometime it hangs the call !
4. the signal icon and the 3g/H icon is on the status bar, but they dont react.
5. i reboot everytime i have this issue... someime comes back online very nicely( with signal/3G/H icon showing on the statusbar) and some time it doesnt (meaning the signal is there but not the 3G/H) ... when it does come back online nicely ... i start to use some data... example i am using google play, it will let me download some apps .. but eventually it will stop working in the next 5 mins ??? and after this again i will not b able to call blablabla ... same stuff as above ...
ANYONE, OTHER THAN ME EVER HAD THIS WEIRD ISSUE WITH THEIR DEFY BEFORE ??
Try wiping all data/cache in recovery

why dont you try wiping away all you data from the recovery mode and then reboot it once again.

oh.. u know i like changing/trying roms ...eventually at first when i had this issue i did a factory reset/wipe from the recovery and installed the cm7 again but its a persisting issue ... i just took to 3uk shop .. they told me they cant do anything coz its not a 3 handset their customer service was not able to help me either ... i am really really desperate to get it fixed ....

i would like to point out that i do not have any problem when i am using an orange sim in my defy ... callss/txt .. unfortunately no credit to try data but i can surf a bit of orange pages without any trouble ... why is it like that with 3uk
I don't know the reason, but sometimes I had this type of problem with my Defy (green lenses) and CM7. After a hardware issue I take it to the service and they replace the whole main body. So now it has red lenses and I switch to a CM9 nightly ROM (CM9-NIGHTLY-120613-Defy+ from Eclypse3). Don't know why, but my problems with the calls hangups and connectivity solved.
Thank you for your help everyone ....although i am in uk am able to use the Vecton sim with USA baseband its on trial for the moment .. we'll see if theres a glitch i'll keep updating

Hi, i really need your help.. i try everything what i know but still nothing..
i came from a s3 where only reflashing the modem solve the problem but now on my new s4 i don't understand. .
Sunday i flash a clean fresh installation of omega v10
everything works great. . Monday, everything works perfect..
now today and yesterday i lost signal if i use wcdma only or gsm/wcdma auto. My data drops, no signal, no data, nothing. .
if i switch to Gsm only (edge) signal is back online, data, etc.. works perfect.
I reflash the modem but still can't use my wcdma (h/h+) anymore
Someone knows what to do please?.

Dont be so fast to blame your phone. I had problems from 6am a couple of days ago, same symptoms, good signal but phone calls only, no data, so I was convinced I had caused it by flashing too many modems/roms. Reflashed my modem with no effect. By 10 am I was ready to do a full reflash to stock but I rang my network to enquire if there were any problems, and eventually they admitted it was a problem their end caused by network maintenance. By 6 in the evening it was all back to normal, panic over.
So make some enquiries before you do anymore flashing, and dont assume that because the network provider says there isnt a problem they are telling the truth, lol.

I have just read the other thread and you state that the problem only occurs when you are at work, everything is perfect when you are at home.
That tells me its a network issue not a hardware/software issue.
When my problems started in May 2012 (good signal but data speeds of 25kb or less, often nothing), it took me about 6 weeks of daily phone calls before Three eventually admitted activating a cell tower very close to me and this mast wasnt operating correctly. For weeks customer services had insisted that my phone was at fault, but as I tried to explain, it worked fine everywhere else.

The problem still persists, although to a lesser degree since recent upgrades to the mast, and I have been given quite a substantial refund for my troubles.

Hmmm intesting.. Ok thx i will take again contact with my operator, maybe goin to try a other operator to see where the problem is..
Its very weird.. I buy the phone and 1week was everything ok, week 2 was no go.. =/
Never had problems here with my s3..
some background info.
I ran stock room for 3 weeks, then one morning the signal kept dying on me. it would turn on for 2 minutes then loose signal again. and they it got so bad that i couldn't even make a phone call.
so i did following:
* Reinstall room (using the settings option, and factory reset)
(still same problem)
* change new simcard
(same problem)
* then finally i sent it into service.
It came back working with stock room of course)
work done when it was in service (just a hard reset with computer, tested OK)
it now worked fine for a week, then i rooted, and flashed a G-flex room.
still works fine for 5 days.
THEN today the same damn thing happens again.
the signal drops in and out every 5 seconds, the phone gets insanely hot, and the battery drains insanely fast.
what i'v tried so far.
*Whipe dalvik cache and fix permissions.
*flash new modems. (two modems)
still same problem.
I really REALLY don't want to send it back in for another 4 weeks at the service.
Do you guys have this problem? i tried looking on google for people with same issue but nothing that relates to my model number: D_802.
can you guys helps me out?
I have the ls980 variant and get horrible reception after root. Replaced the phone and all was perfect until I rooted. Went back to stock but issue persists. Going to try and reload SW again and see what happens.

Im having the same issue on my unrooted stock unbranded D802 (latest Dec 2013 firmware). Im on EE/Orange UK and it keeps dropping out. Im thinking of going back to S4 or even an HTC One.. Heres my thread::

Hi guys, i have a T00j, and i have a stupid big that is really annoying. When i enter on zone with poor gsm signal, like an underground floor, the phone turns on and unlocks the screen, if i have the phone in my pocket it starts pressing menus or calling people, sometimes it goes to settings and you can imagine the problem...
Already tried the updates, hard resets, the phone had it board and screen replaced under warranty and the problem stays on.
Anyone had this? Any idea to solve it?

I think you are on lollipop .87 stock rom..
I faced same problem when I updated to .87 ..
not only that, my phone would lose signal and never searched for signals, my phone would be without signal until I noticed it, and I had to reboot to get back signal..
my solution..
I downgraded to lollipop .60
as I thought it was most stable of the lot..
before that I was on kitkat .54 which to my experience is best rom for zenfone 501cg..

My problem with S8 is that sometimes it can't receive calls,some of my friends asked me if I shut down my phone during the day ...
I change the SIM card,done a factory reset and I have the same problem...Is anything there to fix this?A friend of mine have the same problem with S8.
My signal is always full 4g,no signal drop at all.
Go into settings>mobile network and change the network mode from global to lte/cdma
Same problem with my phone on T-Mobile. I had the same thing happening with my V20 too.

Happened to me once. Did a restart and then everything worked fine again.
I think it is a Samsung S8 issue. I am having the same issue. I will now change my phone back to s4 and see. I will update.
