After upgrading to Android 7, Whatsapp Web regularly loses the connection to my phone. After a few seconds, it reconnects, and is working again for a short time. STAMINA mode and ultra STAMINA mode are disabled. Any ideas?
Personally I have the phone WiFi losing the connection now and then. If that is the case the WhatsApp connection drops as well. Hopefully Sony will work on it soon, because it is pretty annoying. And yes, I did a network reset already.
After reading your message, I've tried a network reset. Didn't help, unfortunately. After that, I did a full restore with Xperia Companion. And that also didn't fix the issue. Still losing connection.
After installing WhatsApp Beta, the problem is solved.

I'm on T mobile with a dhd and my phone keeps losing the data connection.
I have to reboot to initialise it again. If I switch to wifi thats fine, but 3G data keeps dropping out. It can't be the network as the reboot seems to sort it. Sim works fine in other phones. Have you got this problem too?
I'm also getting the reboot problem and the dialer crashes too everyday preventing me from making a call. Otherwise a really good phone!
yep, I am having the same problem on my sim, wierd, I had never had this problem. It started today when i turned my data connection (mobile internet connection) on and did not turn it off, usually I turn mobile network (for internet ) on and then off after some use.
I will try to do same for 2-3 days, lets see what happens. Anybody else having same problem. any solutions ?
I have been facing a strange problem off late. After a long usage of Wi-Fi, the 2G/EDGE/GPRS does not work properly. I mean the strength is weak even though the signal is strong. I can Sync, use Twitter, Facebook but not WhatsApp. Messages sent through WhatsApp when I'm on 2G/EDGE (after long usage over Wi-Fi) does not send/get delivered fast unless I refresh, switch to and from Airplane mode or reboot.
Any solutions? The problem seems to be peculiar. I could not find any solution yet.

Need help on how to fix my wifi connection. I received the August 2016 update on my s7e and after installing it, seems that any app I open that needs wifi connection tooks forever to load like youtube and instagram. When I tried to switch on my LTE, everything is loading fine. And tried it also on office wifi, seems everything is fine also. Connection at home works well with other devices. its just slow on my phone after the update.
tried to change the channels on my ac router but still encountering the same. i tried also to forget the wifi on my phone and connect again, reset network settings and still having slow connection.
Please help what other things i need to try to restore the wifi connection. I'm avoiding the restore factory settings as it will took a while for me to restore everything on my phone.

Help!!! After update to 7.0 my phone has trouble connecting to WiFi. It's not mynetwork because other devices connect and it happens at my workplace too. I've tried clearing the partition cache, restarting it and forgetting the WiFi. Even putting it into airplane mode for a few minutes. I'm not very techie so please keep keep answer easy to understand.
I think I fixed it. I went to my Google account and there was a way to restore my wifi settings.
My wife's G4 has been having the same issue... I cannot get it to reliably connect to any wifi network. Very occasionally it will connect but it only lasts for a few minutes before dropping again. Most of the time it just doesn't see any wifi networks available. I've tried resetting to factory, I've reset default networks under wifi settings, I even applied the new system update that came out yesterday, and still no luck. This is very aggravating. Anyone have any ideas?

I used the proper guides and got the new firmware (7.0)
It actually made my phone much better except for one thing:
Certain apps have constant connection issues.
Waze, WhatsApp, telegram - they look for network connections for far longer than they used to.
Could this be a modem thing? Is there a solution?
Connection issues
I too am having connection issues ever since I updated to Nougat. I am constantly rebooting my phone in an attempt to get good signal. I am often on the H+ network instead of the LTE network. Certain apps have trouble connecting. Sometimes, if I force stop the app and restart it, the app will connect.
