As of the last hour.
Wow, 3 to 4 weeks now. Guess I got lucky! Bought a black 128GB XL last Friday through the "Fi store" and got it this past Tuesday.
Yeah, that's why I put quotes around "back in stock". hahah
Google makes some great software but their business management leaves a lot to be desired.
Agreed! I suppose 3-4 weeks through Fi is better than the straight up "out of stock" that's been displaying on the regular Google Store for so long!
Dangit, I've been checking every single day the last couple weeks and it's just not ever in stock.
The Pixel 2 will be released before I get a 128GB model.
I need to use Project Fi since that's where my plan/payment model is at for my 32GB.
Freaking finally a black 128GB XL popped up and I just bought it.
Google financing through Fi said I didn't qualify even though I had $969 credit remaining.
But I clicked "next" and it went through anyway. lol, how weird.
The timing is funny too.
It was just yesterday that I was about to scream at my phone.
Was out Jeeping and taking video of everyone.
I hit my storage limit and had to delete all sorts of things, including Titanium Backup and I still didn't have enough room for all the videos.
On the bright side, 15GB of video & pics had me at 55% battery remaining.
My cousin's GoPro Hero 5 only took about half that and was already down to 34% battery. What a POS the GoPro batteries or battery management are.
Ordered yesterday and got the FedEx shipping notification today that it'll be delivered within two days. :good:

My Moto X Pure popped out of its cradle after I came down too hard from a first gear wheelie.
It was in a case though and survived without a scratch.
Sorry to hear about your Pixel!

Years ago, I split lanes from Simi Valley to Compton two summers in a row for a job.

I ordered mine yesterday, it is saying arrive may 10 to 15, hope that's not right.
I ordered mine last night and financed it. Should be arriving on Friday. I've been waiting forever for it to pop up in the store.

U ordered it from the store. I ordered one a couple days ago says pending still
Ordered it Sunday and got it today (Thursday).
Was supposed to arrive yesterday but FedEx missed an airplane somewhere along the line so it got here late.
Haven't unboxed it yet.
128GB XL black.
I can finally take videos without fear of running out of space (or data from uploading).
And can finally drop my MP3 collection on it.
And can finally do more than one TWRP backup without running out of space.
Why did 32GB on my older phones seem like so much space but was never enough on the PixeXL.
Just got mine in today! Can't wait to root it. I had a 32GB Nexus 6P previously and would always run out of storage. Really glad I was able to snag a 128GB.

How much more do you like it than the 6p? I just got mine a few days ago and am on the fence whether to keep it or return it while I still can. I currently have a 128gb 6p. It's been a great phone although it's having some minor quirks. I definitely will be getting the Pixel 2 XXL when it's released so I wonder should I wait? It's about 6 months but if I miss out on the order which depends if google will handle things like they did with the pixel, I may miss out and have to wait longer for more stock. So I could stay with the Pixel XL and sell it in the Fall to recuperate some of my losses. What do you guys think?

I like it a lot more than my 6P. I've had the XL for a little over two months and it has been nothing but awesome. The battery life compared to the 6P alone is enough for me to recommend keeping it. I use it as my work phone and I am constantly on Skype, Outlook, and other bunch of other Apps I use for work. I take it off the charger around 6am and by the time I go to bed it's at 30% with moderate to heavy usage.
I also had the same dilemma about waiting for the next Pixel phone, having my work pay for it though made it a no brainer for me. But even then I would have still bought it out right. The 6P is still a great phone but the Pixel XL is leaps and bounds better.

Hello All
So I thought I'd share my story regarding this amazing phone and how I got mine.
I'm from Liverpool UK and my last two phones were the Galaxy S2 and S3. I stayed up last week to watch the Samsung Unpacked event and to see the next Galaxy in action. Of course I was initially impressed with the upgrades Samsung had made and I say upgrades because thats all it was. I was ready to make my pre-order when they started but after a day in work and thinking about the new features I thought . . .no .
A 13mp camera and a bigger better screen wasn't enough to make me buy out my current contract and own the S4. Touch free gestures were to me a nice move but would I ever use them? Simply no, and the eye scroll etc was again a waste of time after the awful effort of smart stay on the S3 which never worked and again would be use to me.
Which brings me the HTC ONE! Amazing screen not too big of course and the Beats audio which I would use as my S3 was my music player.
I had spoke to my P4U store for the past few days about the S4 and putting my name down to call me when pre orders start.
Ok I cant cut the the story short as the next day I go to another P4U store in another part of our city centre to ask about the HTC ONE. The guy in there said I could put down £5 deposit and he then got told that the store will be getting a select few handsets in the next day. So yeah I agree the next goes so bad , the guy rings saying the other store got the HTC ONE in and not them. He tried to sort getting me one through the morning to no luck. I was bit unhappy and angry in all respect, did say they would get some and I was surprised as the handset is still in limited supply.
Anyone on my way into town I decide the call the other P4U store I had been dealing with regarding the S4 and first interest in the ONE. I was shocked to her that only there store got the ONE in and only 3 of them! Lucky they had one that hadnt been collect by a customer on reserve.
And so now I have it
Theres no big ending or rant against the store mentioned, in fact Im lucky to have one at this time and thank the store for sorting me at with one. Im not happy however with the other store taking £5 off me and bullsh*tting me saying they could sort me one.
Thanks for reading folks!
Ask me anything about the HTC ONE if you want, I will try answer
Is the camera better than the S3? & how's battery life?
Thanks, it was a good one, ignore the 5 bucks, you own the phone we're WAITING for

wow! lucky guy!
i did read a lot of positive reviews abt the screen n the performance which r great indeed n also about the camera, which i m happy with after seeing the pics..one of my concern is the heating issue which seems to be there on main quad core phones..how frequently does it get heated? even on prolonged browsing?(like the xperia Z), or while watching videos, gaming? pls comment on that

Lucky for you friend I still have my S3, and I can't decide really. The way to look at it really is that the S3 Camera is 8MP so the detail in the shots is better. I havent really had a good go at the camera out doors. I tried it yesterday the a shop and cos the light was good the photo easily beat some photos ive taken with the S3. Its a hard answer as it has this " Ultrapixel" thing working for it.
Battery again I switched it on when I got home and set it all up, so using it with screen on brightness nearly to the top and wifi on. Battery came with about 70-60 % on it out the box and I like to use that up straight away then charge up over night for the first time.
Battery lasted me from bout 5pm to 1;15 am so I think its looking amazing!
Sorry I cant be more solid on the answers, I thing the S4 camera will be amazing but this camera can be just as good.

Coming from the S3 I can say they are both on par with each other on the heating side. I haven't tried a top spec graphics game yet which should be my next move but I did use it alot yesterday out the box and it did get hot at the back. With the back being metal as well people might notice it more
hi congrats...I sold SGS3 and still waiting for one... how deep are the blacks compared to SGS3 screen? I know that on SGS3 black colour was worse than on SGS2 I had before...could you please make a comparison photo in total blackout with DSRL as other camera cant do it? Also Ill be thankfull for some comparison photos SGS3 vs. HTC one as many reviewers still hasnt final firmware thx bro

Hey man!
I live in Belgium and I dont think anyone or any store has the One yet.
I preordered at expansys 23 februari because they promised me I would be the first...
The release date on their site kept delaying and today they told me I would get it by the 13th of April. I can't wait that long and I read a lot of bad things about expansys so I cancelled my preorder and decided to wait for the official release in the stores.
Now a few hours ago I read that HTC is bringing the phone to the stores officially on the 16th of april, but people who pre-ordered the phone will get it earlier. So I immediately preordered on another site, I've sent the payment and normally they should get it in 2-3 days. I hope I'm still amongst the people who preordered and will get the phone earlier.
I would pay a 100 $ extra just to get the phone this week, I just can't wait anymore

Here's my HTC One story as someone who lives out of the UK - preordered from Handtec in early February hoping to get the device sooner, UK delays hit, I get shafted and have to wait 20 additional days.
Meanwhile people are starting to get their One's from Phone4u by ordering a day ahead of the original release, I cancel my preorder and rush to the P4U website only to get shafted again as they don't deliver out of the UK.
After tasting much shaft, quietly preordered from Hantec again like a good boy, in the hopes i'll get mine when the first stocks appear.
Jelly. Quite jelly.
ILS_SuperNova could you please make a video from within a car with the radio very LOUD?
The One supposedly has very good microphones (yes 2) with dual membranes that can cope with loud sounds/environments while recording video.
Since Samsung always screws up on this part, it would be nice if you could check it.

Richard Marx was right, Shoulda known better,
Sold my G2 thinking i would be able to pickup a new White Note 4.
The Note 3 launch was much better with plenty of devices in stock everywhere.
Looks like many of us wont see a White Note 4 until November!,
Rocking the wifes old GNEX with cracked screen is TORTURE! ha
(Actually gnex dev is still alive and well, some roms are actually pretty darn snappy!)
Now, im seeing that the VZW Variant might have mic holes in a different place than the rest of the variants..

Yes - Thank you ! you are absolutely correct sir.
post fixed.
Only online Verizon stills have white note 4.
Yeah I had initially pre order the white version, but because of a misunderstanding I ended on up canceling my order and getting the Black Note 4 in store on the 23rd since I knew that the White Note 4 wouldn't be released till around the first of the month, and I'm actually liking the Black one more than I had expected. Plus my last phone was a Galaxy S4 which was white.

Please explain this "mic holes" thing. Is it normal for Samsung to manufacture a shell with mic holes in a different location for one provider?
I have Verizon. I used to have Sprint and Sprint was the worst thing in the world, or at least close. I went with Verizon because they had the best signal strength in most of the places that I used to live, and because the company I work at has a discount. But it seems that every post that I see is someone hating Verizon. I've moved now, and the signal isn't quite as good. My SGS3 seems to drop out more frequently in stores now. Because I'm not from this area, I talked to a few neighbors. Even the neighbor with AT&T told me to stay with Verizon unless I want a ton of dropped calls and lost text messages.
I most important reason why I stay with Verizon is the NETWORK...which is the most important for cell phone...unless you're an old man that live in one place and not going anywhere.
I got my white one last Thursday

Same here, North Eastern PA, Nothing touches VZW for the network, and having UDP..
The mic holes thing i referring too was in regards to the other thread here, where the mic holes at the bottom of the device
are moved a few mm off from the rest of the variants, thus creating a case problem.
Verizon is well known for these types of shenanigans which drastically cuts down on accessories,
they did it with the gnex, the G2 (but DID offer qi charging as a bonus.) and not it seems the note 4.
My phone did not come with replacement S-Pen tips or the removal tool. Samsung and Verizon are trying to ping-pong me back and forth between each other. How freaking hard would it be to send me some.
I think I have a buddy with the note 4 that still has his tips from the note 3..should be the same?

There's a nifty feature where you can disable almost any app you would want gone. I disabled all the bloat and love my note 4
I went in today to pick up two Note 4s and obviously there weren't any in stock. The black one would come on Wed, the white one on Friday. I decided to just go ahead and do two white ones since it was only two days later. I was kind of shocked they didn't have anything in stock.

The Note4 allow you to turn off the system apps so no issue here. What I suggest you do is go into settings -> application-> running tab and see what's running and if you don't need them just slowly turn them off until only what you need are running. Just remember you only need to disable the app that run as a service where it consumes battery life and memory. Other apps are only running when you launch and a quick kill all tasks would shut them down permanently until you launch them again. You don't need to remove them since they take up not much space at all.

Welcome to 2015 Droid Incredible! This thing will be 5 years old soon, crazy! For some of us, this was our first smartphone, or our first foray into the world of Android.
I got mine on launch day April 29, 2010. Stood outside of Verizon in a line waiting to get my hands on it.

Anyone else out there still hanging on to theirs? I've got mine and while it's taken quite a beating over time it still functions 100%. I've been through seven other phones since, and the Incredible holds the crown of longest continuous usage of two and a half years before upgrading (held out for the GS III when it launched). I've kept it because A. It was my first smartphone, and B. It isn't worth enough to sell
It still makes a great secondary device. MP3 player, camera, IP camera, WiFi browser, messaging device, game device for the kids, and others. Still running CM7.2 with an ICS theme. I've found it to be the most stable over the last 3 years and it doesn't miss a beat.
2015 folks!
I know not many still come to this ancient section of the forums, but I still see a few of you from the Incredible's hay day around here. I remember Tiny, Pons, Jermaine, ihtfp69 (skyraider), Chad, WildStang, Vernox, HeyItsLou, Chingy, cmlusco, incubus26jc, Invisiblek, Newt, wdfowty, 00McD00, and many more who made this device what it was.
This phone is full of memories and how I got interested in Android in the first place.
Nice to see an old time Incredible user post here again.
I still have mine lying around somewhere. I think I only picked it up once after I moved to the Note 2 and thought, how did I ever use such a small screen lol. Now I'm on a OnePlus One and off of Verizon.
The Incredible was my first smart phone and I'm glad it was.
Still in Use
I still use mine as a great Blu Tooth MP3 player... I even just purchased a bigger extended battery for next to nothing and a 64 gb sd card to hold more music! I still love this phone.. and I could use it as a backup if my current one ever dies (Droid Turbo)
I just stopped by to see if people were still using this phone. I sold my back to Verizon for 200 bucks when they were doing a Trade In special when I got my Note 4.
I still have fond memories of it, but boy could I never go back to such a tiny screen.
i used mine as a backup 3 weeks ago. before that I was using it as an mp3 player.
i just bought another one form my daughter to use asn a mp3 palyer.
Old Inc for mp3 player
Hi this was my first android phone and haven't switched back since. I was wondering if anyone still has any old rom's laying around. I know I have a couple recent ones but I want one that is stable to run google play music as an mp3 player.
i have been using evervolv kitkat. it lets me install all the regular modern apps. I use poweramp and tasker to make it start and stop when it gets power in the car.. 64 gb sd card works fine as well.
i dont care if it gets mms or video recording.
My Turbo Broke
But this still works and I am using it today! It's actually why I am on these threads at the moment, looking for a simple solid ROM to load up into it. The last time I played with my Incredible was for the sake of booting Windows 95 on it for laughs. I need to make phone calls and not play solitaire though!
So yay Incredible, it's like the "Nokia" of androids from my personal experience (( I"m SURE other folks have had different experiences, thoughts, opinions. That's just my own lol ))

the only thing that did not work with evervolve was mms and video recording.
added a program to display the on screen nav buttons and one to dim the capacitive buttons and its a nice little kitkat phone if a bit slow.
Still going strong
I knew someone would have a thread like this going! :highfive: I was curious how many of these things are left on the planet haha
The Droid Incredible was my first smartphone. I'm even kept my Verizon unlimited data plan! I've been buying my phones off contract since the dinc - went to the Galaxy Nexus, and now the Moto X 2014. I'm most likely going to buy the Nexus 6P within the next few months.
Anyway, the incredible is rocking almost as good as the day I bought it. The battery drains pretty quick, but that's to be expected. I'm running Cyanogen 7.2.0 and it's super snappy. App updates still roll through every once in awhile, but I run Airplane Mode WiFi to keep the radio off. I recently bought a house and, to cut costs, I figured out how to USB tether my Moto X to my laptop and then broadcast WiFi to the dinc. It's a pretty ridiculous setup, but I'm going through over 100GB of data for $86/month and no home cable/internet bill *suck it Verizon*
The dinc was such an awesome first smartphone. I learned how to root/rom with it and the knowledge about Android I gained has always earned me guru status with everyone I meet that asks about smartphones. Keep on keepin' on everybody. I'll be stopping in these forums for a while, I'm sure.

Probably not many at this point, though I still find people using iPhone 3GS/4 every once in a while. Not so much with older Android devices.
The 6P is a beast and would be a good upgrade to the Moto X (I had a '14 for a decent bit of time). Last Android phone I had was the 5X last month but I sent it back because of battery life and random sluggishness getting in the way of using it. Probably software related but I'm very happy with my iPhone 6s at the moment. If I had gone with the 6P I'll bet I'd still be using it.
Yeah, my battery is pretty much shot but it's a 1300 MAh cell from 2010 so that's expected. I don't care enough to get a new one either, but they're on Amazon still. CM 7.2 is the sweet spot IMO for this phone, 2.3 was still pretty light on resources and anything after it is going to feel sluggish. There are a few browsers that cater to low end devices that work well too, like Opera or even Dolphin Zero amongst others.
I certainly learned a lot about Android and how it works with this device, and it has carried over to many others like the Evo, GS III, HTC M8, Moto X, LG G3, and plenty others I've helped friends with. I'm not quite sure why I still come over here, but I do nonetheless. That's where most of my nearly 1k posts have come from though, right here in the DINC section.
Anyway, here's to 2016!
I haven't had my Droid Incredible as long as some of you, as I received mine as a refurbed model (I am cheap!) in Feburary of 2011; however, I am still using it on Verizon's network, running Cyanogenmod 7. It's been a pretty robust phone and I didn't expect it to last 5+ years.
I wonder how many other people still have active Droid Incredibles? Mine is likely going to be replaced soon--it hasn't been very stable the last few months. Extended use causes it to get hot and it locks up, requiring the battery to be pulled. Oftentimes when this happens, it will hang on the boot screen, too. I'm not a heavy user of my phone, but it's starting to get rather annoying, so it's time to put the Incredible out to pasture.

I use mine everyday as a media player in my car. I am running evervolved ( kitkat) but no phone service
new batteries are cheap on amazon i have used this as a backup. evevolved has mms issues but if you use the verizon messaging app its all good. I hear that there are video camera issues, but i have taken less than 10 vidies on ALL my phones.
Hello guys, 2021 it's approaching and I still own my Incredible. Who else?
It's still working but it's a CDMA and have no plan with it. Not interested in aquiring one either.
So, thinking in bringing it back to a useful life found this thread.
Is anyone still around that can share some ideas on how can I make my Droid useful??, i guess it would all begin with a ROM, right?
I still have mine running tiny's version of CM10. It runs well enough, but I don't use it for much. Occasionally as a sound machine or a baby monitor for the little one in a pinch. The battery (3rd battery I think?) is starting to expand again though. And, since I also have a Galaxy S4, Nexus 5X, and Google Pixel leftover as old phones I'm finding less use for it.
The Galaxy S4 has had the most longevity for me. It's a Verizon model that I rooted very shortly after I got it (still has the original and only exploitable bootloader on it). That thing's running the latest Android 11 on it even though it's like 7 years old now.
I think the Incredible would have lastest longer with developer focus on updates if there weren't such complications with storage space (actual usable fast storage is small). I still like the form factor. I wish there were more small phones.
As you may or may not know; most everyone (who isn't with T-Mobile) got their pre-orders in today for the Galaxy s7 and s7 edge.
I did, and love the fast charging! Upgrading from s5 to s7 has many perks, but I already see some pretty major cons. So this post is a mix of things I noticed, and my question is
"Do you notice some of these things as well on your S7 or S7 Edge?"
1) When gaming you can easily muffle the side speaker which sounds terrible
2) Fingerprint magnet backing and screen
3) You have to press the home button to turn screen on, then rest your finger on the home button again to unlock.. Kinda annoying
4) Heat, Heat Heat! Holding the phone in my palm for over 7 or so minutes will make my palms sweaty due to the heat, most notable behind the right side of the front screen on the back.
5) I don't believe Doze is kicking in, even after turning off the Always On display feature. I'm going to do more reporting and experiments to ensure this is valid. I already know how Doze works with my Nexus 7 (2013) and I love it! Leaving it on the table all night and only lose 1% is amazing! :good: Just hope my phone will follow the same way. If not, I think Verizon and Samsung are holding back on us.
6) My bank doesn't support the Samsung pay yet, and I'm sure a huge majority of users won't be able to use it until their bank does contact Samsung to enroll. My bank already has started the process, but it will take up to 45 days to even hear back from Samsung according to my bank. Oh well, Android Pay for now.
don't think doze is working here either.. when i checked gsam, i saw that I was losing either the exact same amount or more battery when the screen was actually off! crazy.

I am pretty sure doze works for me and I am on Verizon. I have my always on display turned off. My battery life is incredible. It's better than my lg g4. I did disable quite a few apps which helps. Also, disabling location history with Google helps a ton. That was an issue on my LG g4 as well.
My bank doesn't support Samsung pay either.
If you want to USE Samsung Pay just for the hell of it like I did, and your bank doesn't support it yes like mine (5th/3rd)...there is one work around I have found!
There is indeed one prepaid debit card that I know for a fact works well with it! It's the CHASE LIQUID DEBIT VISA card. Have to go to a chase bank to get it. Takes about 10 minutes or so to set up. Basic info is collected from you (personal info like you would give for any account / card).
Anyway, if you want to just try it out, it's an option. I used it at Walmart just 3 days ago. Pretty darn cool... Worked exactly like the commercial lol.
And right now when you make your first purchase on a registered card, you get to pick from a few $30 digital gift cards. I picked an EBay one. There was also Best Buy, and some other lesser known ones. Credited to your Samsung Pay account right away under the gift card accounts.
I still haven't decided on its merits. It's fun, especially if you're a geek like I suspect most of us on here are. But beyond that, it's still mostly easier to swipe a card. But for security and pure tech awesomeness... I'm going to probably continue to use it just because lol.

Lol I'm not sure how it's the wrong thread. Read the OP. He posted 6 statements. Number 6 was all about Samsung Pay. Only one out of 6 of his OP discussion observations (#5) was concerning the "always on" or "doze" features. Are you sure I have the wrong thread?
5 out of 6 of his observations have nothing to do with the title... Shall you tell him the same? Lol Sheesh...

So my question is, how long does it have to sit idle before doze kicks in?

Is the phone in your pocket? I read doze only kicks in once the phone is completely stationary.
nah it was sitting on my desk. weird. I've made another thread so as to not derail this one from op.

Hi, I owned a 6P back in December and decided to get a refund as I had 3 faulty models (the headphone jack made a weird white noise all the time). My situation is that I've since then used the OnePlus 3 and the iPhone 7 128gb, but both had their flaws (my iPhone 7 was also faulty and a bit boring). I did love the 6P, apart from the fault obviously, so I am wondering how it has held up over the year, is it just as fast and more importantly, smooth and stutter free as it was on day one? How has the battery held up? Has anyone had any headphone jack issues?
I'm thinking I may skip the Pixel phones and go back to a 6P and save the extra £300 or so.
A bit of feedback would be greatly appreciated, I'd love to get the 6P again!
No negatives for me since November 2015! It has 9 lives like a cat!

I got the white. I really like white though.
I only had the slight bulging of my tempered glass right lower corner but with some heating trick with a blow dryer and pressure resolved it permanently. It had been in place since November 2015. I have no problems at all. I turn off animations so I avoid the issues of that sort. It runs smooth and fast for me. I'll be using it for the next year. I typically keep devices for 2 years minimum. It gets updates like a charm. The only thing I wish improved is loudness via headphone jack.

Yea a little it's still pretty good normally I get 16 hours of use without plugging in but before Android 7 someone had put in a Trojan that allowed them to record my screen and had to factory reset to get rid of it and some how they get back in after a few days I know because they would turn off drive encryption that would allow Android to check the boot to make sure nothing was altered. During the Trojan issue I would get about 5 hours of battery use with normal usage if I stayed off my phone it would last 12 hours.
Only other way I knew is they got access to my bank using the bank app and would turn on quick logon which it emailed me saying it's in a new device so I was able to check the log says they logged In from a ip In California Time stamped In California.
First time I was sleeping second time I was on my phone getting the emails of them setting it up it was scary wish more banks kept log in records to see what other accounts they had access to. So for saving passwords I use keeper now instead of chrome
