Newbie questions! Please help!

I am new with my Galaxy Tab and with all this and...
1. I was wondering if this would be the best way to SIM UNLOCK and/or VOICE CALLS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876178&highlight=unlock+sim
2. Does rooting create lag? Do I need to root with the lag-fix? Or can I just apply the lag-fix after rooting?
3. If a galaxy tab is rooted, is it possible to unrooted by deleting all and returning everything to factory reset?
4. What does flash and reflash means? What is it for?
5. What are ROMs for?
6. What are boots?
7. Whatever you do to your Galaxy Tab (Flash,ROM,VOICE,ROOT,etc) is it possible to factory reset it and put it back to normal how you bought it?
Thanks in advance!
Btw, is a T-mobile tab

Restore full stock firmware S6 Edge Plus G928F

Hi, I made a change to my IMEI s6 edge + and now I can't to bring it back to the original firmware, all stock, without having any root. I tried to restore it through KIES3, everything went well, but when the phone restart after flashing, remains in loop mode on the Samsung s6 plus edge logo and does not go forward. The only way to restart it is flashing a kernel unofficial, but I would all stock. Solutions?

S7 Edge refuses to root?

I am really needing to root my s7 edge for various useful purposes. I tried it the first time using Odin, then it became stuck at the samsung logo (the second one), and would not stop until it ran out of battery. I had to take it to a repair shop where they fixed it but had to wipe it. I then installed firmware so that if it did screw up again, I could get it back to normal without wiping it. So I tried rooting a number of times, but it will not work and ive had to use the firmware to get it back on. Even the repair shop I took it to said they couldnt root it for whatever reason. Anyone know if this is possible to fix? Thanks
Which way did you try??? And what type of s7 edge do you have?
What are the reasons your rooting for

Pattern lock incorrect after rooting

Hi all!
I searched the entire forum for a question similar to mine, but didnt find any thread about it.
I rooted my S7 Edge G935FD using odin, and the startup screen where i get to input my pattern generates me an "incorrect" pattern!!
Once I reflash my firmare back to stock...everything works back as normal, and im able to input my pattern successfully and log in to the phone.
Am I missing something? ?

Does disabling the pattern lock and then rooting it work?
Not sure what seems to be the issue, but this https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7...overy-official-twrp-hero2lte-3-0-0-0-t3334084 works if you want to root ur phone. May as well flash a ROM (which will come with disable DM-Verity and root) while ur at it rather than root the phone using this method though (that's what I did anyways). I recommend Superman ROM.
Hope this helped

yes rooting or any major change to the operating system requires pin to be enable after the phone successful reboot and you get main, you can reset the pin to a pattern.
This is my understanding of what is need with any modifications to boot loader or kernal which rooting does.
I tried everything, from disabling fingerprint and pattern lock entirely to clearing the cache from the stock recovery menu, but still rooting or flashing TWRP cripples the phone into a Samsung logo stuck screen. The only way out is to re-flash back to complete stock.
Am I missing something? I recall rooting the S7 edge was much easier...whats going on?
