[Q] GS4 keeps rebooting after Kingo root & unroot

Help!
I recently installed a wireless pad into my Galaxy S4. All was working ok for a few days with the charging apart from the well known issue of the phone constantly beeping with the Wireless Charging Message.
Anyway I needed to root the phone to change the system file charging sound/ noise.
I used the Kingoapp root method, and since then the phone keeps randomly rebooting. It could happen at any time. I used the Kingoapp to unroot the device- but the rebooting still happens.
How can I stop the reboots? New kernel, new Rom? I don't seem to be running KNOX on the phone.
I would like to avoid completely reflashing the device because it will take a long time to get my data and apps and setup back onto the device.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Hi mate ,
Once you root the phone you have to remove all knox from your phone , is a known issue
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514703
Thanks for the response. Removing KNOX seems to have done the trick- it's been 2 days with no reboots.
I thought I'd be able to go back to exactly the same as pre-root. But I presume once you've rooted you trigger KNOX & you can't go back to exactly as you had the phone pre-root.
Anyway I presume a Android 5 build will be out soon for the GS4
I rooted my Galaxy Note3 Neo. It gets reboot infinite time. I can't get any screen. What to do?
How to remove KNOX or anything which let me use my phone again?

You're in the wrong thread, but anyways, try factory resetting through recovery, or flash your stock ROM and root using SuperSU.
Check the note 3 neo thread for more help.

[Q] lock screen settings after root

I had a question, I rooted my tmobile s5 with odin and cwmod and afterwards my lock screen settings were changed so that pin and password are the only two ways to unlock it. The other settings are there but they're grayed out so that I can't select it. Any ideas on why this could be? Bad root? I need to flash another ROM (I kept it stock btw)

Can using Smart Switch re-lock my SIM status?

Hi everyone. Just bought an S6 Edge+ yesterday, and today I tried updating its firmware, but it gives me the error message of "Your OS has been modified..." etc. It tells me to use smartswitch to update. However, since I bought it used, I have no idea how they unlocked the phone. Is it possible that by updating with smartswitch my phone will be locked again to its original carrier?
No, smart switch does not have the ability to re lock
I checked the unlock my device app pre-installed from T-Mobile and it says my device isn't unlocked. Can't it be that the unlock I have is some sort of software unlock that can be lost if I force the update?
Bump
Flash stock firmware you wont lose data itll fix your issue then u can update

SM-G928F Root

Hi guys,
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge +, on EE. The 6.0.1 update is not out yet so i am currently running 5.1.1.
I have tried to root my device a couple of times, first time seemed okay for 3 days but soft bricked my phone.
Today i re-tried but for some strange reason, no wifi passwords save and when i connect to wifi my phone reboots.
Ive done some research online and found a fix by editing one of the system files to fix the password saving on wifi.
However i am unable to find a solution to why my phone restarts whenever connecting to a wifi network, if i load the stock firmware onto my phone, all is working fine.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction or give me any help i would really appreciate it!
Thanks
- HardLineFX
I had a similar problem rooting my edge +
Easiest way is to go onto chainfires website and download the CF root that matches your phone and flash through odin...piece of cake
My galaxy S6 EDGE PLUS SM G928F is not remembering my wifi password what might be the problem

Pattern lock incorrect after rooting

Hi all!
I searched the entire forum for a question similar to mine, but didnt find any thread about it.
I rooted my S7 Edge G935FD using odin, and the startup screen where i get to input my pattern generates me an "incorrect" pattern!!
Once I reflash my firmare back to stock...everything works back as normal, and im able to input my pattern successfully and log in to the phone.
Am I missing something? ?

Does disabling the pattern lock and then rooting it work?
Not sure what seems to be the issue, but this https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7...overy-official-twrp-hero2lte-3-0-0-0-t3334084 works if you want to root ur phone. May as well flash a ROM (which will come with disable DM-Verity and root) while ur at it rather than root the phone using this method though (that's what I did anyways). I recommend Superman ROM.
Hope this helped

yes rooting or any major change to the operating system requires pin to be enable after the phone successful reboot and you get main, you can reset the pin to a pattern.
This is my understanding of what is need with any modifications to boot loader or kernal which rooting does.
I tried everything, from disabling fingerprint and pattern lock entirely to clearing the cache from the stock recovery menu, but still rooting or flashing TWRP cripples the phone into a Samsung logo stuck screen. The only way out is to re-flash back to complete stock.
Am I missing something? I recall rooting the S7 edge was much easier...whats going on?
