Something happened when flashing now it only boots into voodoo recovery and clockwork recovery. I cant restore or wipe and flash a new rom it only boots into recovery even when you pull battery and try a normal boot.
now its booting to stock recovery but says E:can't mount /dev/block/st111 (invalid argument) please help tried everything cant get it to boot i had tried to install dj05 as instructed just got the fascinate 2 days ago used to the incredible.
Okay so I'm rooted via towel root, I've got a custom recovery thanks to safest rap 3.75 (twrp) I tried to install X note port for sm-n900a. It said it could only be installed to stock Tom slot so I did. It completed the install. I rebooted, and it failed to boot. So I went to recovery and now it's saying "unable to mount system, unable to mount systemrig, failed to restore system" I have tried to figure this out. But to no avail. I've resorted to creating rom slot 1 and installing dk and running on that, I want my stock back, anybody got any ideas here?
my phone: SM N900 india lollipop 5.0 out of the box
yesterday i rooted with chainfire's cf-auto-root first with odin
it went well, phone was rooted but i could not install a recovery
then i tried twrp.tar with odin
phone was rooted with twrp recovery v2.8.7.0
but when i tried to wipe data for new rom, it struck on formatting cache using make_ext4fs function
and it could not mount one or 2 things (system, cache...) and twrp restarted
now i could not even restore the backup i made before wiping
when i try to reboot , it says no OS installed
what to do guys, please help as i am staring the twrp screen right now
Flash a stock ROM via Odin and then proceed installing your ROM by flashing recovery...

Hello,
Try to install an official ROM, for your phone, with Odin then root again and install Custom recovery. I advice you to download latest build of recovery.

i am still downloading firmware from sammobile
its very very slow, can someone tell a workaround?
Yes, downloading from sammobile.com is very slow unless you are a paid member.
If you want to run a custom ROM, there are ROMs that can work on your phone and would be faster to download. There are even ROMs that are based on Samsung's TouchWiz.
thanks guys for ur support
i was able to revive my note 3 again
but i did the whole rooting process again by auto-cf-root and then twrp latest through odin and i am still struck on the same screen like the last time in twrp recovery
it is still not able to mount system

Flash supersu via TWRP instead of using cf-root.

but to gain root access, i assume auto cf root is the first step
correct me if i am wrong
Flashing supersu from TWRP will get you root access.
i am writing the messages twrp shows if they matter
updating partition details
E: unable to mount /cache
..done
E: resources (font)- (fixed) failed to load
E: unable to mount /cache
kernel doesnot have support for reading SELinux contexts
E: unable to mount /cache
E: unable to mount /cache
MTP enabled
E: unable to mount /cache
E: unable to wipe dalvik
updating partition details
E: unable to mount /cache
..done
E: unable to mount /cache comes multiple times later too
Steps: install again the rom, next step it is to install custom recovery with odin(The Rom and recovery must be in .tar format) and the last step, search for supersu in format zip and download in to sd card. Boot you phone in to recovery and install supersu. Now you will have an rooted phone.

Maybe cf-auto-root is changing something in the phone to cause the error in twrp?
well i was third time lucky
repeated the same process 2 times:
rooted with cf-autoroot with odin, flashed twrp with odin, still freezes
3rd time:
flashed official rom
did a factory reset by inbuilt recovery
installed cf-autoroot, flashed twrp by odin
this time i was able to install aurora rom despite the error message in mounting cache
so running aurora rom now...
will try to flash supersu through recovery as recommended by @bogdan109
but will take a good night sleep first

Check if your phone it is rooted or not (install an program from play store: root checker). I don't think it is necessary to install super from recovery, now when you used cf-autoroot, but maybe i'm wrong.
Flashing supersu from recovery means not having to use any other root tool.
thank u guys for ur replies
i dont know the reason of the problem but it seems almost sorted out now
what i did was i flashed older version of twrp twrp-2.8.6.0 and used suemax kernel
since then it seems okay though on running recovery it still tells one problem:
E: resources (font)- (fixed) failed to load
but everything else has been resolved for now
thank u again
Well.... did you use the right twrp? These are not all the same ones:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Canada (hltecan)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 International Exynos (ha3g)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 International Qualcomm (hlte)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo (hlltexx)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Sprint (hltespr)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 T-Mobile (hltetmo)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 US Cellular (hlteusc)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Verizon (hltevzw)
Hey, people.
I've looked for another threats on this, but seems like others really don't work, or I did something wrong.
So, I had Cyanogenmod for 6 months in this device but I wanted to reset it to stock rom. So I flashed it using Odin and, it was failing all the time for some authentication error. I flash stock recovery to if it would do any difference but no. I installed back TWRP and it was saying "E: Unable to mount '/data'" and '/ storage' too.
Now I cant even boot cyanogenmod because it never quits of "starting apps" after the boot loading.
Soooo... What should I do to resolve this?
Please any details? Did you try to reflash TWRP? Where did you find stock firmware?
You know i flash my device through odin a plenty of time and had no problem at all.
Send log
I tried to flash Android O, but failed... Now I'm flashing other roms, but still failing, every time i try to install system it tells me (invalid argument) please I need help.
This is not enough. Write the process you done for flash.
Are you tried the official guide at Google's site?
