Submit your phone to the service center after conforming whether they know how to fix it or not. If they say no. Post the address and contact details of the service center in the following forum . Lenovo representatives will contact them on solving it.

Uk service centre
Don't believe UK has service centres to fix the issue, Lenovo customer service said return to supplier, which is no good as seems common problem.
If anyone knows how service centres are fixing them please post

Hey I M from India, but It is a hardware problem not a software problem,so I should go to Motorola centre or lenovo?
I have the issue too... Imho the stock rom is highly unstable... The phone getting hot, ghost touches and an earphone channel sometimes working and sometimes not! Furthermore we have the quadroot vulnerability. Time for an update from Lenovo/Motorola. Or better: CyanogenMod!

Got a replacement and so far 1st day no ghost touch issues
This helped me-
Go to settings- battery - battery optimization. Now set system UI and google now launcher to not optimized. And restart your phone.
Wow this worked Thanks a bunch

As far as ghost touch are concerned motorola has provided a fix at its service centres without changing the panel.Read this on the motorola forum.
I found this on Moto X Pure thread on reddit
"Thanks to one of /u/jumnhy's suggestions, I decided to put some electrical tape around and on the digitizer and lcd connections inside the phone. After isolating these connectors with the tape, the problem went away all together. Anybody that finds this thread later on, it might be worth trying if you're trying to save yourself from buying an entire new display like I was."
hey hey hey fellas....atlast found something which satisfies everyone regarding ghost touch....the latest qualcomm has made severe changes inside turbo powered charger which couldn't able to stabilize the input voltage fluctuations. and that is why we all expirence ghost touch... i even checked my socket with Multimeter...hell yeah that was true....
atlast ive plugged stock moto turbo charger to the stabilizer, believe it or not i played nova 3 for exactly 44 mins beside charge was on !
so this caused ghost touch !
hope you guys understood

I found something interesting and that you might not know or imagine, but there was a time when I couldnt use my phone outdoors. Every time I tried to write my password the ghost touch appeared And all those things we face. And its related to autobright system when in places with a lot of sun interfering. When I deactivated autobrightness the problem disappeared when I tried to use the phone on the street. Dont know if its a coincidence, but you might try. Looks like the screen cant handle high brightness for a long time
It isn't related to charger only, because ghost touch is also visible when u max the brightness

I can confirm this. Originally I would only experience ghost touch when using the quick charger. However, I now experience it when the phone heats up or when I turn the brightness up - even when it is not charging. I have tried factory resets etc. but I believe it is a hardware-related issue. I will be sending it back to Lenovo asap for repairs and hopefully they can fix the issue.

Yup, on Lenovo forums mods have confirmed that the have provided service centres with a fix that would stop this without replacing the screens, I believe what they are doing is covering the digitiser with an insulating tape/film. Anyone who have got this fixed do mention his/her screen type using an app called "Dev check" on playstore, together let's fight this annoying engineering disaster [emoji23]

If you don't wanna mess up anything then flash the stock firmware, relock the bootloader and visit the service centre. And if u wanna try out for yourself then then there's one thing I believe might work out, I haven't done this myself but I think this CAN solve the issue, try covering the digitiser with any insulating film/tape.
Again I would highly recommend you to relock the bootloader and visit service centre.
And do update your progress here, that would surely help others

Hi
i know that there are so many posts about bricked phones ...but i don't know what actually happened to my I9505
i tried so many roms and everything is alright , also i never bricked a phone before .
but when i woke up the other day i tried to check the clock on my phone but it won't turn on ((i missed the alarm and a day of my job because of that))
i tried to restart it (power+home) but nothing happened and there is no sign of life ,
i can't get into the recovery or download mod , i tried USB JIG but it gave me nothing
this is so weird ,it was ok when i went to bed that day
the only thing i remember is that i changed the CPU voltage to 700mhz MAX and 100 MIN for couple hours
but then i change it back
my question is did i lost my phone completely ? or there is something i can do
and do you think JTAG could fix it ??
THANKS

What ROM do you have installed? What program did you use to change CPU freq?
Did you linked it to the charger that night? Did you check it started to charge? Try a charged battery in order to discard.

the program was pre-installed with the ROM , it has the same name as the kernel
Did you linked it to the charger that night?

Try as last chance connecting the data cable to pc, then push vol- and while pushing it plug in the data cable connected to the pc. If it doesn't enter in download mode, service center (i am really site you are the first one in the world with a hard brick).

You are wrong, service center takes up to one or two month while he will be without he phone. Sometimes people doesn't know battery could be completely dead, or a different way to enter in download, etc... What could solve the issue in only some minutes instead months. This is one of the reason people in xda are here trying to help people. When every software actuation (or an very easy hardware manipulation) is done unsuccessfully, people advice to take it to service center.

No, this is the only part from a smartphone you can't buy as a separately part, because changing motherboard would change also completely your phone, imei, etc... And possibly the price would be close to the price for a new s4... It would have no sense.

Did you mess around with bootloader related stuff? If you have, chances are that you have unfourtanatly bricked your device. Let hope that's not the case.

Take it to the service center, they will give you a diagnostic and a proposal for the reparation, and then you will decide if you want to pay for a functional repaired s4, or you just want to sell it as separately parts...
Enviado desde mi GT-I9500 usando Tapatalk 2
May I ask, where did you exactly buy it from. Sometimes if you bought it straight from a shop such as Vodafone, Optus, AT&T etc they may repair it. Mine was a hard brick. No power whatsoever and my carrier repaired it for free (thankfully) Since the s4 is a popular, they may be able to repair it in a somewhat short time

I've sent the phone to repair center for bad camera functionality (due to DRM removal from unlocking bootloader, which I haven't said that to sony), and the phone is now coming back to me.
According to the e-mail trail, the diagnosis found that screen needs to be replaced and perform a software update.
I'm still in high doubt that they'll somehow put DRM back into my phone but here's hoping.
Just wanted to share this if anybody had any case where people got DRM after warranty service.
I've sent my phone to the service for water damage with unlocked bootloader, but i'm waiting for an answer from them. If I get it back, i'll let you know
Good job. Not speak english.
Pero es una gran noticia haber si te lo mandan con las drms reparadas. Seria una gran noticia .

New phone. Maybe
Alas. They just changed the screen. My TA partition is left unchanged, lost. Guess I'm stuck with DRM restoration patch. Oh well.
Only the Sony software development team is able to inject you DRM keys. Official stores will not, 3rd party phone repairers will not take their time, and still nobody has found a way to manipulate the TA partition(thats nice in my opinion)

I had the same thing with my Z2...
I cracked the screen - sent off for PIAD fix.... and they replaced the phone! However,.. I had not UL the bootloader at that stage..
Subsequently unlocked the bootloader and lost DRM... then had a screen issue - sent off PRAYING they would replace... but they just fixed screen and updated software.... but DRM was not restored... Bugger..
I've got my phone back and they replaced it completely. It has the TA Partition intact and it's on the newest version and another IMEI.
They probably couldn't access my phone's screen and then decided to replace it.

I've sent my phone to w-support, the service center from Sony here in Germany and they repaired it but with the notice "In the present device intervention in the original software from Sony Mobile was found. For errors caused thereby normally the right to a repair under warranty will become void! Your device has been repaired on goodwill!", because I've unlocked my bootloader.
I had yellowness on my display and my phone was overheated. w-support replaced my speaker, display and battery.
I have a Motorola G4 Plus and I am getting ghost touches when I am charging and when I am not charging. It's really irritating and as of right now, I am waiting for my OnePlus One to return so I can use that phone and get a replacement phone (even though it's possible the replacement phone is gonna have the same problem) for this phone. Any temporary fixes besides turning off and on the screen?

This is completely wrong, calibrating your display does nothing as the display (frame?) is storing extra charge from the TurboCharger, resulting in "ghost touches".
Ghost touches shouldn't be an issue with this phone, and if they are, you should definitely take it to Motorola for a replacement.

I would return the Moto G4 for good.. the OnePlus One is a much faster phone, not to mention it has a better development community. Hell, it has a better battery as well.
Save the cash, and purchase a better phone- the OnePlus 3T and Axon 7 would be very good upgrades to the OnePlus One.

And yes **screen callibration** was the term coined by the service center guys. i visited the service center myself.
I believe returning the phone is a 30-day contract otherwise you can't return it passed 30 days, right? I already had it for a few months and this ghost touch started happening for a month. I asked to return it but they said that since I have a warranty on the phone, the only option is to get a replacement phone. I love phones suggestions so it's okay if you do bring them up. Once I RMA my phone and get a replacement phone, I am probably just going to sell it and get a better phone than the OnePlus One and use the OnePlus One as my backup phone just in case there are any issues with the new phone. Anyways, I appreciate all of your suggestions and thank you for all your help.

I never really experienced any problems with the OPO. I dropped the OPO on my school messenger bag once face flat and like the bottom portion was not responding to my touches all of a sudden. Only issue I had and I already sent it in for repairs. I plan on buying the OnePlus 3 or 3t as soon as I get this phone rma, replaced, and sold.
Flashing a custom rom could solve the ghost touching? Do you know?

Hi guys, Some time ago (about 1 month), I realized that sometimes my device simply stops vibrating. After some research, I have seen that the vibration engine of the G4 / G4 plus has been presenting problems, including finding several videos on YouTube talking about it and teaching to change the engine. Has anyone had or is experiencing this problem? The only solution would be to change the engine? I bought it 5 months ago.

My guarantee was voided 4 months ago ?
But replace it, is not de problem.. the motor is very cheap (~ US$ 7,00 in direct conversion from my country currency) and the swap process is simple. I would just like a second opinion or know if there would be another way. The great "problem" is precisely the laziness to make the exchange ???

Swapping is not the problem, that's the least of it actually. It turns out that everywhere I've seen someone talking about it, no one has been able to tell the cause of the problem (whether physical, dusty or otherwise), everyone has already been given the only solution to the exchange. Hi,
I have screen burn in/retention issue on my device( the one where notification bar icons get glued and slightly visible, yup that).
I have read on several Lenovo forums , tutorials of fixing it, and xda that it can't be fixed for non-rooted users.
I am currently using Blue Screen Filter for eye care at 10% of Grey colour, face no problem in that.
BUT
I want a permanent solution, not some software to hide that effect. My question is:
IF I ROOT, Unlock Bootloader, and change RGB values via Kernel manager as suggested as a FIX, is it a permanent solution?
IF I DON'T DO ANYTHING, Will the screen burn/retention issue spread from notification to whole of the screen? I'm really worried, that's the case i can sell the phone right away.
PLEASE HELP!
Bro if your phone is in warranty then visit the service centre and ask for screen replacement they will do it for free of cost if it is in warranty otherwise they will ask you to pay some amount If you are not willing to go to sc then unlock bootloader flash a custom rom like lineage os or something go to display in setting and change the values of RGB to less than 100 percent screen burn will be gone.. My suggestion is visit the service centre and change it

See thars the problem , phone is not under warranty anymore , only if i had observed this 2onths ago then service centre would be an option , and i read in so many threads even after replacing screen , the issue still persists , so does rooting solve the problem?

This phone was first launched (available for purchase) on 17th May 2016. Your warranty would've expired 4 days ago, if you are one of those unlucky few who bought it immediately.
Are you sure your warranty is void when it has barely been a year since the phone was released in the first place? Do double check your bill or something.
That's not a screen "burn", it's retention. As far as I saw on mine, only affects the notification bar. For me appeared only after I flashed the "N". Since I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted at 1 month since purchase, I have installed EX kernel under N (for root).
Changed the screen RGB colors to 240 (applies at boot) and got rid of the retention.
