Hi
This is an odd problem because it seems such an obvious thing to want to do.
I want to be able to determine which connections on my device are 3G.
Sure I have used ConnMgrQueryDetailedStatus and this does indeed enumerate the connections. And yes, I have examined the type and subtypes looking for CM_CONNTYPE_CELLULAR (type) and CM_CONNSUBTYPE_CELLULAR_EDGE or CM_CONNSUBTYPE_CELLULAR_UMTS.
My device only ever returns CM_CONNSUBTYPE_CELLULAR_GPRS. So yes, I went on to examine the CONNMGR_CONNECTION_DETAILED_STATUS dwFlags looking for CM_DSF_ALWAYSON, but for every cellular connection it returns CM_DSF_SUSPENDRESUME.
Now I know my device supports Edge as the icon at the top often reports an "E" and I can connect to it. So, either MS/HTC/O2 are lying about Edge availability (which I wouldn't put past them) or there must be some other way to determine the current connection capability (e.g. capable of 3G as oppsed to 2G).
Like I said, this seems like such an obvious thing but as yet I have not found anywhere on the web a solution that doesn't suggest what I have tried myself with the connection manager.
Any suggestions or do make this the time to go to Microsoft and ask what I need to do?
Thanks
Jim
Weird problem here... the clock on my HD2 is always about 4 minutes ahead of the actual time. I think it picks up the time from the network provider (in my case Vodafone) but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem (on Vodafone or others).
I've tried a soft reset but that doesn't help.
Interestingly, I've tried another vodafone SIM (older one), which is not GPRS/3G enabled and the time is spot on!
Any ideas / suggestions gratefully received...
Thanks,

[running latest stock ROM for WWE - v1.66]
hey mate... I don't know if this is responsible for that, but try going in Settings Tab-> Data Services and disable Internet time sync... Since you mention that you have used a non internet enabled sim card, I am assuming is just that.. When you say is 4 minutes fast, do you mean faster than your hand watch lets say or faster than your pc time which synchronises with internet? hope this helps
Thanks leftkats. The time is 4 mins faster than my watch, wall clock and pc time, all of which are the same as: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/info/current-time.htm
I disabled internet time sync and soft-reset - no change. I could of course set the time manually, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having such a device.
I noticed that when re-enabling internet time sync, the warning message about extra charges mentions wireless provider, not data provider. Any idea where it's going for it's time sync?

Hey Guys,
I have been experiencing location problems across multiple official ROMs on my S6 Edge+.
The phone is showing incorrect location when using only the mobile network to determine position. I live in Bulgaria using the Vivacom provider, yet the phone is set automatically to Ghana in Africa when using the mobile connection only.
The moment I connect to a WiFi or I Turn ON the GPS, it immediately shows the correct location.
It appears that it is not a GPS/A-GPS problem but the fact that it is not getting the right location when using the 3g(HPSA) network.
I never had such problems with my previous device(s3) and I am using the same chip(cut to fit the nano slot).
Is there a fix as it is very annoying problem. I am getting wrong checkins and it is messing up with all my apps that are using the location service. The problem is that I cannot always get the gps location while in a building and I don't have WIFI always available.
Is it that Samsung just sucks?
Best Regards!
Bump,
It is not a mobile provider issue eather. When I use the hotspot to connect my laptop to the internet, it shows the currect location as well.
I guess it is a software issue...
Does anybody has that problem at all or it's only me?
Hi, guys!
I think i am experiencing a problem with the wifi on my s10 plus (g9750 variant). For some reason every time i try to download an app from google play it hangs on "Downloading..." for a while then starts the download (which is fast) and then the last bit of data is slow again. Also, some of the apps which require internet during startup (i.e. logging in or sth like that) take a long time to do it. I must mention that this doesnt happen at all while using 4G (you'd expect problems with 4g when using a HK variant in Europe but it isnt the case). I tried clearing cache and data for both google play and download manager, wiped system cache, looked into wifi settings and everything seemed ok but no results so far. The wifi network works as intended as i am using a s7 edge too and that one has no such problems. Any help would be much appreciated.
Solved it, for some reason i had to reboot the home router.
Hello,
I have a TicWatch Pro 3 LTE Ultra and I got an e-SIM from my operator (Orange France). It works ok with one minor detail : it seems that the LTE connection only gets established if I turn flight mode on and then off...
E.g. test situation : watch is connected via BT. I turn off BT and Wifi on the watch, and the LTE connection does not start.
I turn on and off flight mode and voilà, LTE connection is established.
Other test situation : I left home for a footing and after a while realized the watch had not connected to LTE. Turned flight mode on and off, and voilà, LTE connection is ok.
Is it normal behavior? Do I miss a config parameter somewhere? If it is normal, the least I can say is that it is not seamless...
Thanks for any help,

Hey, I faced the same situation as you and after some investigation, I figured out what was the cause in my case - maybe it will help you too. I use two SIMs in my phone - the main one is from T-Mobile, the second one is from Orange. It turned out that if my Orange SIM card isn't set as default FOR THE PHONE CALLS, the watch does not switch to LTE automatically (at the same time in the Wear OS app the option of the watch LTE connection disappears). Interestignly, the options of default SIM card for SMS and for mobile internet don't play the key role here. Let's check if this helps in your case, if not, maybe do a factory reset.
Also I found out that it may behave differently on a different ROMs - when I switched ROM to the other one, LTE on my watch enables automatically irrespective of which SIM card is set as default.
Thanks a lot for answering so fast ! I knew there should be someone out there with an opinion ;-)
I do have 2 SIMs on my phone. One is Orange (e-SIM on the phone as well, BTW) and the other is Bouygues.
I tried to configure Orange as default for calls, ran the same test but did not see an improvement.
I'll test more and see if after restarting everything, it gets better.
Thanks again for the answer, I'll report back right here after more tests.
Also, what ROMs are you talking about, please? ROM for the watch? Which ROM do you use? I have the standard one...
Update from the morning, I had a notification on my watch saying that the e-Sim was activated" (which it was already), and now it seems that the LTE connection establishes itself when and as it should !!
Thanks a lot @Lord Sithek !

Oh wow, I was just writing an answer to you Im glad you got it working. By the way, I was talking about the custom ROM on my phone (Xiaomi Mi Note 10). It's strange, but since I switched to the other one (namely, OcatviOS) the issue is gone, even though I set T-Mobile SIM as the default for everything. I didn't find a key to this mystery yet, but good that it works now
One thing that I observed when I was facing your issue is that when the Orange SIM card wasn't set as default for phone calls, the option in the WearOS app that I marked in the screenshot attached disappeared. Whenever Orange was set as default, it was appearing again. Maybe that will be some kind of clue for you and other users in the future.
Cheers
Thanks! I have to say that the the various effects config parameters _on the phone_ have on the watch are less than clear to me... everything but intuitive...
