Hi, guys!
I think i am experiencing a problem with the wifi on my s10 plus (g9750 variant). For some reason every time i try to download an app from google play it hangs on "Downloading..." for a while then starts the download (which is fast) and then the last bit of data is slow again. Also, some of the apps which require internet during startup (i.e. logging in or sth like that) take a long time to do it. I must mention that this doesnt happen at all while using 4G (you'd expect problems with 4g when using a HK variant in Europe but it isnt the case). I tried clearing cache and data for both google play and download manager, wiped system cache, looked into wifi settings and everything seemed ok but no results so far. The wifi network works as intended as i am using a s7 edge too and that one has no such problems. Any help would be much appreciated.
Solved it, for some reason i had to reboot the home router.

in the past couple of weeks, whenever i try to watch a youtube video using the 3g network, my hd2 would freeze and reboot itself after a few seconds. strangely, i can watch youtube for hours at a time with no problems if i use a wifi connection instead. does anyone else have this problem? i've already installed the latest firmware from the t-mobile website.
this only started to happen recently and nothing about my phone has changed. i've even done a factory reset so i can only think that the problem is somehow with the 3g network itself rather than my phone.
I've had the same issue since i bought the phone. using chucky ROM right now.
Hello all,
Not sure if anyone else is having this problem.
First of all, better to mention what my Aria is running on:
Stock ROM unrooted. Updated to Froyo from HTC via FOTA. I'm not located in the US therefore my phone isn't under AT&T which many here are. My ROM is strictly HTC's Asia's ROM.
Now I don't have much in a way of problems with my phone, its just odd to me that every once in a while (around once every week or so) I need to reboot my phone. This is because for some strange reason, my phone won't connect to the data network (3G) or it shows that it is connected but no data activity (even after I've instructed the phone to sync all information, i.e. weather, emails, etc). I've tried switching on/off the data network connection and also have tried switching between airplane modes on/off (in hopes to reset something) but nothing works.
I'm not sure if this is an inherent problem to the Aria's 2.2 update or if there is something wrong with my carrier, however the problem is ALWAYS FIXED right after a fresh reboot.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Phone information. Set preferred network.
Try switching between the different options.

Thanks for the hint thinkhope. I'll try your suggestion. May I ask what you think the problem may be?
Update: I tried it for a couple of days and I still get the same problem. I tried switching between preferred networks but the problem persists. Quick reboot and once again, fixed.
I also have this same problem, stock/custom ROM no matter which ROM the problem is still there, up to a point that made me wanna smash my phone on the ground. I tried to use my SIM card on my wife's SGS and seems like no such problems faced. Is this a common problem for HTC phones?
Hello,
If you don't want the boring details of how I discovered the problem feel free to skip the next couple of paragraphs and go straight to the technical details.
I got my first Android phone (Motorola Defy) a couple of weeks ago and at first I was only using it with wifi because my data plan wasn't activated yet. While playing with it a little I realised that I saw a lot less ads than my boyfriend on his 6 month old Defy. I thougt it was weird but, well, seeing less ads is not a big problem.
Then when I got my data plan I saw that when I wasn't home I saw a lot more ads, so I began to suspect it had to do with how my phone was connected to the internet : wifi or 3G.
Next I wanted to try out Astrid and when I tried to log in using my Google account it failed repeatedly. Until I disabled wifi and it logged in fine using 3G.
Then I installed RTÉ DocOnOne to listen to documentaries while falling asleep. When wifi is enabled, it cannot start up because it can't connect (network timeout). Over 3G, no problem.
At first I thought it was my router blocking ports or something but it happens with different wifi APs and more importantly my boyfriend's phone, connected to the same access point, loads everything without a problem.
Let's sum up:
Some apps can't access the network using wifi but work fine when using 3G.
It happens regardless of the wifi AP (tried 4 different ones with different routers) and another phone using the same app connected to the same wifi AP can access the network just fine.
If I initiate the connection using 3G then switch to wifi (typically I launch the app with 3G, switch wifi on without closing the app), it still works after that (RTE DocOnOne has no pb streaming the documentaries once it has launched)
My phone is a Motorola Defy, French retail ROM, not rooted, no motoblur account (skipped the configuration), Froyo 2.2.2 (already on the phone when I got it), system version (if that means anything to you) Version.34.164.3.MB525.Retail.en.FR, kernel 2.6.32.9-g050ccf2, build 3.4.2-164
I can't give as much details about my boyfriend's phone (that doesn't have the problem) because he's not here right now but I can tell you that it is a Motorola Defy too, French retail (I think) ROM, Froyo updated from preinstalled Eclair (using the official Motorola update), not rooted, with a motoblur account
I have no idea if that's relevant or not, but my phone has the "google maps 5.7.0 crashes on Defy" issue (18446 in the android issue tracker) and my boyfriend's phone hasn't.
Has anyone encountered this issue before ? I couldn't find anything on this forum or with a google search.
Is there any tool I can use to try and find the cause of the problem ?
Thank you for reading all this, sorry if my message was long but I wanted to give as much detail as possible to help the nice people who may find what is wrong with my phone
I didn't read all..
but if your phone don't have problems then check this:
1. go to settings
2. Select "Location & security settings"
3. enable this "Use wireless networks" Location determined by WiFi and/or mobile networks
4. test does it work...
Hello manumanfred,
I did what you suggested (actually it was already checked) and the problem is still there (tried unchecking it too).
I am not sure why you suggested it, was that related to some phones having wifi problems in some countries ? I read a thread about that when I was researching my problem but it is different. In my case, wifi works most of the time, but some requests always time out.
Thanks for trying
Anyone else has an idea of something I could try ?

Hello, did you solve the issue?
Since the latest Jan security patch, my apps will not update over wifi at home. It keeps saying downloading for ever. The moment I turn wifi off, apps download just fine on 4g.
Nexus 6p all stock and on Jan security patch. Anyone else having this issue?
I have reset my router twice and still nothing.
That's weird. My apps still update normally through wifi. Do you have any other (Android) device to check if the problem belongs to 6P or router?

My Samsung tab s2 is on auto update and been updating just fine. Very strange. My router didn't change and I have done nothing to it for years. Also, wifi works just fine on the phone, it's just updating apps. Very strange.
May be it's the Play store app itself. I'm on Build 6.0.5
Never mind the app build. The one I have on my Samsung tab s2 is also build 6.0.5
I also cleared app and phone cache and nothing. Still same issue.

How about installing apps? Is it normal? Because (correct me I'm wrong) the app-updating mechanism should be similar to the app-installing one. If it's not your router's problem and you've tested it on other devices, the fault must be on your 6P's Play Store. My suggestion is you try to wipe phone cache through fastboot and try again. If the problem persists, contact Google Support.

Installing apps does not download either on wifi. I just cleared cache through Fastboot and still nothing. Urrggggh, something changed. Always worked until the upgrade.
Hello everyone, suddenly the data connection of my xiaomi Mi9t/ K20 keeps restarting automatically. Even during a call it switches off and I see the "no signal" symbol on the data connection icon.
It seems to me that when I use more bandwidth, the data connection restarts much more often (when I install a heavy application).
This also happens when the phone is perfectly still, so in my opinion it's a software problem, not a hardware one. In your opinion, if I flash the official ROM again, can the problem be solved?
Attached is the video of my problem.

Thanks!
What version, which region, have you tried anything yet?

Hi! my phone is European (QFJEUXM) and I have MIUI 12.0.5.
I tried to reset the wifi, mobile data and bluetooth.
Since the problem was still there, I decided to format the phone to the factory data. But unfortunately for me nothing has changed, the problem is still there.
