I got G900F few days ago and I noticed that there is some parts inside my phone that are not fixed, so I hear tickling when I use phone, especially when I shake it. It comes from upper part of phone. I went to shop where I bought it and tried some other S5s there and I think they all have same issue. Seller guy told me to go to official Samsung service center after holidays...
Maybe it is camera lenses that are not fixed, or some other sensors?
Can anybody confirm this ticking when shaking phone?
Thanks.

There is another thread here somewhere where a user is reporting a rattling sound on his device also, have a search and see what he said about it

It's the camera. The lens is free to move otherwise you couldn't refocus. If you open the camera app you'll notice the rattling goes away as the focus motor has power at that point. It's nothing to worry about, it's no a failure or defect, most modern phones rattle when you shake them for the same reason.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, I found similar explanations on some other sites, just wanted to see if everyone have this issue..
Hi
I have my s7 edge for 3 weeks now, and I started to notice that when I press the edges of the home button it sometimes won't register a click.
What I do is just press an edge of the button with my fingernail with low amount of pressure to create this issue.
I can't return it because it's been too long, and I'm afraid to use my warrenty because I'm afraid it won't remain water proof...
What would you do?
I have same thing. It's waterproof. Don't worry about it.

Mine does the same. You have to press the middle.
No. This is absolutely not normal. My old device had the issue and I made a video of it and exchanged it. My new one doesn't have the issue.

Mine doesn't have that issue. The "edges" react the same as the middle of the button.

Had this too.... It drove me nuts...its a button shouldn't have to think about pressing it in the middle everytime.... If your still in your grace return period I would exchange it....
I thought I could live with mine but after 2 days I had to return it.... Replacement was perfect...
Edit* Oops noticed you've had it for 3 weeks.... Most companies give you only 14 days...... Guess you may have to just live with it........Is your fingerprint sensor working good?.... The biggest problem I had was I always hold my phone in my left hand then use my thumb to press the home button.... But hitting it on the left part of the button worked 1 out of 5 times.... You'll just have to get used to pressing in the middle

I have the exact same issue with mine, strangely it only became more apparent after about 3 weeks of owning it, meaning I would have to send my device off for repair now; I've decided to live with the issue for now and see how it goes. Main reason is I don't have a 2nd phone to use whilst this goes off for repaid [emoji20]

Personally I don't think they will say anything.... Samsung quality control has always been a little shady.... Actually this was the first Samsung phone I didn't have to take back since the S2.... But after a couple of days I realized people could barley hear me cause my microphone was I supposed to and out.... Got replacement and everything was perfect ? except the damn home button!.... So one more return later and now I have a perfect screen and a buttons work great
....... I'm really picky and OCD about phones when I get them.... I took my S6 back twice also.... Had a home button rattle and also dust under the screen...... If you ever get sick of it... I use button Savior app.... It replaces all your hardware buttons but you can gesture it or put an onscreen trigger to open it..... I like it better than other onscreen buttons because its always hidden until you need it

Mine does the same thing even when I pressed in the middle. I had to click twice since it didn't register the first one. Happened about 5 times but since I received an update from Tmobile, it doesn't happen anymore, or yet... Hopefully it'll stay that way.

It's kinda nice to know that I'm not the only one who cares about those annoying issues...
When i realized i have an issue it was already 2 days passed the 14 days so...
When i approached a samsung rep he told me that this is how the button works, and that i can send it to the lab but its going to take a few days so i passed..
Anyways i dont want my phone to be opened, I'm too scared waterproofing will be lost...

This is something a certified repair center can easily handle without losing the waterproofing. Certified centers have been trained to fix these models, and they have all the tools to do so, while uncertified repair centers won't necessarily have the training, and they won't have the official tools, so they can't guarantee that the waterproofing is still intact after a repair. If an official Samsung rep told you it could be fixed or whatever, then I'm sure it should be fine. You have warranty, and it should be used for things like this.
If you send it in, you'll probably sit where you are now in a week or so with a fully functioning device, or you can just ignore it and still sit where you sit now in a week with a defect device. I would do it.

I would send it in too..... But sometimes it can take 6 weeks... I had to send an S4 in once and it came back almost 2 months later.... If it's something you can't live with send it back..... But you should have a 1 year warranty if anything actually goes wrong with it...... It is a pretty widespread issue in the Galaxy S7 edge line hopefully they get it fixed in later batches.... But if it were me I would probably deal with it rather than send my brand new phone out... Unless they can guarantee you a return date

So my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge broke after 3 months, I got it the day it came out in the UK. At first I opened Snapchat then all of a sudden a third of the screen went pink and flickery, so I contacted samsung and they said do a factory reset and get back to them.
This did nothing, so I went to contact Samsung again and whilst I was contacting them the screen completely went so it was sent off to Anovo I got an email with a image of my Micro USB port saying....
“We have located damage on your device and this damage is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Our engineers have found liquid damage and are therefore unable to further assess any faults you were experiencing.
Please see attached a picture of the damage.
This damage is considered too severe for us to proceed, and classes your product as Beyond Economical Repair. (BER)”
I've never put my phone in water as I've never wanted to risk it but it has been exposed to a bit of rain (the weather hasn't been the best in the UK). I phoned Anovo to find out what was going on. The man on the phone told me exactly what the email said, and when I went on to say “I thought it was water resistant” he put me on hold to speak to someone. He then came back and said the engineers found water in the charging port but didn't say how it got there and also didn't tell me why the water sensor in the USB port didn't work to prevent it from happening, I don't know if a message pops up on your phone when you try and charge it when it's wet or not warning you but if there is one then I've never seen it.
But what's even stranger to me is that the phone still functions, it charges, it vibrates for notifications and the little light comes on, it makes sounds when you press the volume buttons, you can double tap the home button and it opens the camera, you can press the volume buttons to take pictures. So I feel like it's not as broken as I'm being told. I've made a lot of phone calls, sent a formal letter and 2 emails starting on Friday 13th (when I got the email from Anovo) and I am still yet to hear anything back!
I can't post links yet so can't attach the youtube video and image
Just posting this to warn people that the S7e might not be as waterproof as they make out and I wanted to see if anyone else has had any similar problems and could please help!
My first S7 Edge screen was faulty aswell, screen gives purple smudges and streaking black when swiped, sent it my mobile provider and was too severe to fix, so I got a replacement.
here in Australia the mobile service providers have to provide warranty to the life of the 2 year contract and we have tough warranty laws to protect consumers from these kinds of problems.

You can try post the URL like "google[dot]com" or something like this if you can't directly post URL.
Hey, I have somewhat the same problem as you, My phone suddenly didn't show anything anymore, as if the screen was off. but everything still worked. So my screen is dead but not the touchscreen/anything else. and it's really annoing, also have not been in touch with water, and the waterdetection thing in the microSD tray is clearly still totally clean. so it can't be water. gonna send my phone off to repair monday and hope they are nicer than you'r provider...
I lost a 3 day old S7 edge to a total water damage. I placed it in a bowl of water ... anyways, they claim it's IP87 so the phone should handle this.
This phone isnt waterproof, or at least not mine, but my provider says "following up to our test we performed with the given device its still waterproof" and so the warranty is just void.
They asked me if I submerged the phone with the SIM-tray open. Or, they claimed, as its obviously the only way for water to get into. (...)
I have a IT diploma so that is just nothing Im evening considering discussing.
Its with a lawyer now and everybody should be very aware about this situation and how Samsung defines IP87

The fact is that IF something happens, they just claim its your fault, because (!sic) you probably didnt keep the Simslot properly tightly closed(!sic). End of story for Samsung.
My S7E have this exact same problem before (glitch screen then went completely black screen but everything else work including touch screen) and It was fixed by just a screen replacement by local Samsung service centre under the warranty. I live in Thailand by the way.
I don't think it's water damaged. I did put my phone underwater before but there's nothing wrong with it. The water damage indicator didn't turn red either which indicated no water entered the phone.
I think it's just faulty screen batch and the affected device is among the early batch S7E.
Anovo is the one who run the Samsung service centre, right?
If so, I think Anovo is just being irresponsible.
I see nothing in the image they sent. I can't see anything indicate that the phone was water damaged. It also too blurry to see anything else.
Also from what I thought, since the phone is water resistance showing the image of outside the phone shouldn't be able to tell anything about water damage since it's the part that won't get or allow the phone to get water damaged. If they really wanted to show the damage, they must show the component inside the phone that get damaged.
In conclusion, the image they sent is nonsense and useless.
I'm not sure but maybe filing a lawsuit can help you.
Hello all!
I got the same problem. My screen has now a big lign without pixels and the screen is blinking a lot.
I've bought it in belgium at Mediamarkt. I'll go today to post it to repair. I hope that I'll not take too long before get my repair.
I never try to put it in the water or anything like that. It's protected by a Spigen Case and the phone is perfect not even a single scratch on it or the screen.
I cross my finger also because I've root it so I hope that they not tell me that I lost my warranty for a hardware problem!
Thanks!
Pierrick
Hi,
I have started to reading a lot and see that in my screen edges the touch is not so sensitive. It fails a lot of times.
And 3 or 4 times i have the turning on settings and apps by it self.
I have to reboot.
Im on btu latest version.
I have lots of white and colored lines on my screen. They disappear when i turn the screen off, and then slowly fade in. Surely this is software?

Wow. It looks like maybe loose connection from screen to system board. Or the device got wet? Try tweaking(twisting) the frame a little to see if it changes at all(better/worse). If it does then probably loose connection.

Doesn't seem like a hw problem.
Try this:
1- Run a benchmark in loop for 30 minutes to make the device hot. Something like Antutu. This would provoque any underlying heat problem.
2- Set screen off to 30 minutes and leave it idle on to see if screen changes while doing nothing.
3- factory reset the device after backup your data.
My oppinion is it a hardware issue. You can handle it like a software issue and try to fix it but if you don't have time or don't want to experiencing it would be better to bring it back where you bought it.

ok, its come to light now. My five year old has confessed he knocked it off of a table. Makes sense now, however the table is just over half a metre high.It would have falllen onto a wooden floor. Warranty seems unlikely.
I must say though i'm surprised it has caused this damage. My wife's Moto G was thrown by my five year old onto tarmac and the Moto G is absolute fine. I'd like to buy the Honor 8 again as I really like it, though I feel I would be stupid to buy another if they are a delicate as this. Be warned.... Don't have kids!

Than you are lucky that you have a Honor phone (if you are within the 3 month).

No point in contacting them on Facebook, I've spoken to their help desk. UK not covered. It's with them for repair. Guess they will send me a bill. Loo! After your honor 8 guys. I've done the drop test and it sadly isn't durable. I really liked this phone. More than my Galaxy s7 edge, but tough to buy again knowing it can't survive a small drop.

I'm really sorry to hear that. On the other hand it is interesting that the glass survived but the LCD panel was damaged. It was quite unlucky I guess.
Hey Guys,
I noticed something strange with my phone this morning and it has gotten progressively worse throughout the day. Has anyone encountered something like this? Originally this started off with a large set of vertical green pixels (as seen in the first picture). Then a further degrading of this with purple blotches as seen in the 2nd pic, and I'm pretty sure my display is dead now as I can swipe up and feel the haptic feedback but can't see anything on the screen.

The phone isn't bent in any way so I'm guessing that the connection inside the phone went bad. I know a repair guy who is pretty handy but I want to see if anyone knows what I am up against.
Thanks!

My phone is under extended warranty and I had the same/similar issue.
I didn't see it happen but my screen was dark and I could not get it to display anything.
I shipped in and they sent a replacement.

Hello definitely a hardware issue. At least I already seen this before and the screen was dead. My wife used to have an LG G2 and it displayed those weird purple smudges all over the screen after one of our daughter crushed it walking on the device.
Do you eventually sit on chairs with your phone in your back pocket?
Good luck...

I'm definitely not under warranty as I bought this 2nd hand off eBay. Was someone's phone that had the Google Account lock on it that I bypassed.

I wouldn't buy a phone 2nd hand off Ebay. I hear to many bad things. Use Swappa in the future brotha!
That is most certainly a defective digitizer. I'm guessing a stress was placed to the digitizer at some point or heat/cold maybe?

Bought it for $400 in Jan 2016 when it was 3-4 months old since someone didn't know how to bypass the Google Factory reset lock. Most other 128GB were going for $650+ at the time. Ebay/ Swappa would have ended up in the same place regardless. I don't blame Ebay for this experience but I have not bought many phones from them regardless. At least 6+ purchases on Swappa and all have been great. Taking to my local repair guy who I trust very much who quoted me for $195 to do the work and replace the board which is worth it to me.

This ironically has been in a Supcase Unicorn Beetle case since day 1. I am guessing that the phone being on the larger side of my front right pocket definitely has pressure put on it which likely caused this.
