Help flashing stock firmware - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am a noob at this, so pardon me for my ignorance. After unrooting my Note 3 i am unable to update my firmware OTA or with Kies, even after factory resetting it did not work. After doing some research i learned that i have to flash my phone with stock firmware using odin(in order to get my phone back to normal). Do i have to flash the original firmware that my phone came with, or can i just flash it with the most up to date stock firmware that i want?

You can flash the same build fw or the latest. Install 'samsung phone info' app to check your csc. You can even use the app to download the fw. But in case downloading takes forever to complete, you may use 'samsung firmware downloader'. It's a windows utility tool to download fw from sammobile.

When i attempted to use Odin, the flashing failed. here is the Odin log:

It could be Knox... Enter in download mode and check if you can see a line called KNOX WARRANTY VOID. If you have it, please go to this thread.

[Q] Newbie Helping : Note 3 soft bricked

Evening all ,
Hopefully someone here can help , Im somewhat of a newbie to this but was currently running Xnote Rom on 4.3 , I tried to upgrade to N9005XXUGNG1 following steps read on a well known website.
I received a "invalid ext4 image" error from odin and now stuck in a soft brick state where i can only access download mode. I am currently trying to get out of this back to a stock phone. I live in the UK and am on EE 4G.
Thanks in advance

take battery out and put it back in after 30 seconds.. then boot to download mode..
use odin to flash the latest gng1 rom..make sure to tick update bootloader in odin
take another stock ROM, you partition sizes dont seem to match to the rom u want to flash. i suggest to use the latest BTU Android 4.4.2 rom ( sammobile.com/firmware )

[Q] Can't flash stock ROM SPH-L720

I installed CyanogenMod 10.2.1 on my rooted Sprint S4. Upon realizing that I could no longer connect my Gear 2 watch to my phone, I would like to reset my phone to factory settings, unrooted, with the stock ROM. I followed the guide at galaxys4root.com (xda won't let me post the outside link, but it is the first result when you Google "galaxy s4 root unroot") and used all the downloads from that page. However, upon trying to flash to my phone, I receive this error in Odin:

I can then shut down my phone and reboot back into CM just fine, but I really would like to have the stock ROM back so I can use my watch. If anyone could help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Alright, that was a stupid mistake on my part, I apologize. I'm downloading the L720T firmware from Sammobile now and I also downloaded Sammoblie's suggested ODIN, which is 3.09. I will post the results after the download finished and I try to flash it.

Cannot Restore Phone! No boot! :( Please help

Hey guys!
I'm working with the I9505 at the moment.
I flashed Omega rom (Version 40) and the Wifi stopped working..
To fix it, I went to Sammobile and just went ahead and got the Stock Australian rom (So far I've tried with the stock 4x roms and none are working, even though the phone was at 4.2.2)
The phone won't take anything from Odin.
I get a "Fail" after trying to flash things to the phone.
The messages aren't always the same, depending on what I'm flashing. The most recent from odin is as follows:

Almost all Odin errors can be resolved by the following:
- Different usb port
- Different usb cable.
I9505XXUGNH6
should flash just fine.
The first one you flashed is 4.3 and you probably can't flash that anymore.
Hi!
I got it fixed (I think. Still got some testing to do) by booting the phone until it displayed something along the lines of 'Firmware update error recovery' and THAT 'version' of Odin allowed me to add the "I9505XXUGNH6_I9505XSAGNH1_I9505XXUGNH6_HOME.tar.md5" file
Not sure how that's any different from Odin but yeah, the phone boots, Wifi is on.. everything is fine. Going to try to add Root and TWRP later tonight though

Cannot Unroot i9505 to stock rom, Odin errors.

I cant seem to unroot my phone at all back to a stock rom. It looks like an authentication problem with knox, but im not sure.
The rom im trying to flash is the I9505XXUHOJ2_I9505YXYHOK1_I9505XXUHOJ2.
Ive tried using a pit file before and it ended up soft bricking the phone.
Im really sick of CM13 and 12 and I'd love to get back to stock.

On the phone, it says STAT [224,1440]
Enter download mode and read off the model number on the screen please?
The failure after trying to flash aboot.mbn indicates the rom being flashed has an older bootloader than the bootloader currently on the phone. Not sure if your phone has a downgradeable bootloader.
@audit13: I really need to read logs a bit more thoroughly.
That said, I think the bootloader can be downgraded, so long as the replacement has Knox included. I haven't tried it however, so you could just as easily be right.
The bootloader is probably not locked but I don't think a bootloader can be downgraded to 4.3 or older.
Honestly, I can't remember.
