Love the app, but trying to hide the notification. It shows up as an Android System app and doesn't have any way to block it. Thanks

Its a VPN icon as block this add a local vpn to block ads. So basically you have an active vpn at all times and since vpn is a system icon (not block this), don't think you have a way to remove it.
Thanks. Are these local VPN apps dangerous in any way?

I don't know if my phone is configured wrong or I'm the only person who seems to be bothered by this.....
the DLNA app runs in the background and every time i go to check out my phone, it connects to wifi and i get a "Connection Detected" notification, being the OCD person i am, I'm clearing this message 20 times a day at least.... isnt there a way to stop DLNA from looking for a connection until i decide to turn it on?
note: DLNA is definitely off.
that being said, anyone have a suggestion for how to permanently remove this notification?
I kept getting that message as well. There is an app called media share that notifies you when there is an available connection. Just open the app and uncheck connection notification. Once I did that, I stopped receiving the message in the notification bar. Hopes this helps you.

Tried that, and still comes up after the phone wakes from sleep. I'ts so annoing I just want to delete the application. And to make matters worst, I have two Droid X with the same annoing DLNA pop up in the notification bar. Any solutions to disable, delete or remove this app from the phones? Got Verizon, and my phone is not rooted, due to Android 2.2.4 V4.5.621
You can root your phone.
Root your phone, TiBu , freeze dlna.
I froze it on my droid, never had a use for it so buhbye.
Its a pain with .621 but its recently been made easier. Theres a thread here in general about it.

Does anyone know how to disable the call forwarding "activation" notification and the call forwarding "deactivation" pop ups? These are tasks I use in Tasker, and the pop ups are annoying...

There's an Xposed mod called notifyclean. I have not used it, but by the description it does exactly what you want.

Yeah, I've been using that module to hide notifications in the notification panel. To the best of my knowledge it doesn't block pop-ups. If it does, I haven't figured it out. The notification I'm getting is annoying pop-up on my home screen.
But thanks anyhow...
Yep that is what I am talking about. It sucks but this is mainly why I used tasker. Now it does nothing for me that other applications dont do. Totally had to get away from automatic call fowarding.

Has anyone experience MMS not sending and receiving on google messenger. I have been using messenger since the release of the phone with no issues. Now I can't receive or send. I prefer messenger because I have a urbane 2 Android wear watch and on wear it allows me to see the entire thread when connected via cloud sync.

Yes, I have noticed this as well. It is not just with messenger, this also happens with hangouts. I suspect that the default apn on ipv6 is the problem, but without root it is difficult to modify the apn db that contains the settings. I am thinking about doing an adb backup, extracting the sqlite db and seeing if I can get it to restore a modified version with just the APNs that I want in it. It could also be the hidden APN that is used for tethering... either way it would be a lot easier to troubleshoot with root.
I was unable to send or receive MMS and it was due to me disabling an MMS package in Package Disabler.

Not a bad idea to check! That lead me to my fix. I presume the package you mention is: com.android.mms.service.
Make sure it is enabled. Mine was, but clearing data on it fixed my issue!
