You can not because I can not enter Flashfire, I have only access to recovery stock.

Use Odin then

I tell them I managed to fix it, send an SMS to my phone which allowed open the application, then select a picture, which allowed him to open a file browser, install FlashFire and ready, reinstall now I installed apps.

[Q] trouble after deleting data/data/com.android.providers.settings

hi guys, would really appreciate your help..
i was trying to fix my nexus 4's problem of unable to sync with google servers so i deleted the data/data/com.android.providers.settings and it indeed fixed the issue.
unfortunatley, after rebooting, i'm now:
- unable to get a lockscreen
- unable to get home button to work
- swipe down settings are gone. and so are notifications
is there another way to restore this other than a factory reset?

Factory reset wil not help, reflash a factory image or custom rom if you are rooted.

He only deleted the data so of course a factory reset will fix it this.
You will probably take ages trying to fix and end up having to wipe anyway. I take it you haven't got a backup of any sort (nandroid/ti backup) etc?

Yup, my bad. So many users wiping the entire sdcard nowadays that i took it wrong and didn`t read correctly
I thought I did but I searched my PC and couldn't find any previously backed up data. So I guess I've no choice but to factory reset and reinstall my data

Hi there! I had had the same problem l33chpda had, but the factory reset fix worked just one time only, today i was about to resell my phone so i wanted to factory reset it, after that i've come across with the problem i had that time, again.
Don't know what to do, i have same issues mentioned by l33chpda, cant get into settings, swipe down settings neither, etc; when try to, phone just do nothing or stays one second and goes back home screen.
I have made nandroid (both clockworkmod and TWRP) of the phone when I bought it, but with online nandroid so i don't have any custom recovery installed.
While checking those nandroid backups, I've discovered the deleted folder backup in the clockworkmod nandroid folder.
Could it be possible to paste it back into "\data\data" folder? should that be the fix? Or I'll have to reflash all even though I dont wanna take that risk because is just that, the other things of the phone are intact and work great.
In case of reflashing, could you tell me about any easy tutorial on how to install clockworkmod recovery?
I own an LG G2 D800, KitKat d80020y rooted with stumproot.

I am having the same issue, after I did a factory reset. My device will boot into the AT&T setup screen but the settings menu crashes and I cant get out of it.

I am having a very similar issue as well. I have the Sprint version - SPH-L720 - and I rooted it using Motochopper. Everything was fine and great and wonderful, but after I downloaded and installed a font installer from the play store, it seems to be softbricked. I can get into Download mode and Recovery mode just fine. I have wiped the phone twice now -- but every time I just try to wipe the cache, it says there is an error and reboots.
I applied the Chainfire Auto-Root too (successfully) and it still stays stuck on the Sprint screen.
I'm guessing I won't be able to fix this issue until the firmware is leaked... but I am crossing my fingers and hoping that someone has a solution sooner.
Since the last update still can't do a wipe cache

[Q] "Unfortunately, settings has stopped working" after factory reset

Hello folks,
The SGH-i337 is my first android device and I've had it only for a few days now. I rooted the phone using the "1 click root and debloat" files in the development section of this forum. Everything worked great after that. Today I installed an unofficial apk on my phone but I wasn't comfortable with it at all. So I did a factory reset (are you not supposed to do that?)
After the factory reset, the phone boots up and gives me the usual settings menu. At the end of the settings however, it lags for a few seconds before it says "Unfortunately, settings has stopped working". This brings me back to the "choose a device name" menu in settings. If I fill it out again and go through settings, it crashes again. I can't get into anything else on the phone since it keeps going through the initial setup.
I've tried booting into recovery mode and deleting the cache. I doubt that this clears it since the phone gives me an error and reboots. I tried selecting factory reset through the recovery mode but that also gave me the same issue (said error and rebooted).
After some searching I've found that flashing a stock rom with odin might be the best way to go. Is that correct or is there a better way? On the odin download page, it only lists the 9505 version for Galaxy S4. Could I use that for my SGH-i337?
I think the phone is still rooted because it says Samsung Custom before booting up. Thanks for the help!
Had same exact issue as well.
I booted in to download mode and flashed it with factory rom, then installed CWM.
This is what i used. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297033

Oh man, you're a life saver. I'm downloading the file and I'll give it a shot. So just to confirm, I put the phone into download mode and run Run_Me.bat and that should fix the issue?
Also for future reference, are you not supposed to do a factory reset after rooting your phone? Thanks!
Fixed it
The issue arose because the settings program was supposed to follow up with at&t locker setup. But since I had deleted the at&t files with the debloat tool, it kept crashing. So the solution was to reset the phone to stock firmware. I used Odin 3.07 to flash the factory ROM onto the phone and now everything is back to normal.
I guess this also answers my previous question, if I'd probably have the same problem again if I do a factory reset.

Just dont use all in one tool as you did before. Just use the chooper rooting process in the link I provided.
Then manually remove the apps you dont with titanium backup.

S7 Edge - Unfortunately, <app> has stopped.

Hi all,
First time poster, so please excuse me if this is not the correct section.
I got the S7 Edge, absolutely love the thing. As a semi-experienced smartphone user, i have used a load of devices, and this one is my favourite!
Unfortunately, on Tuesday past it developed an issue. I receive an error that says "Unfortunately, <app> has stopped". Now the <app> can be Google Play Services, Camera, WhatsApp. You name it, any third party or system app, i get this message one after the other and then the phone reboots.
I proceeded with a factory restore, on the first screen of setup where i select my language, the errors started again. I noticed you could clear the cache from the boot screen so i done that, restored again, same problem.
I am now getting a replacement device, but i cannot for the life of me figure out what is causing this? Is it a corrupt memory module? Is this an issue experienced quite commonly? I'm really not sure, so i am here for expert advice.
Thanks,
Skyco
Yeah, questions go in the Help section. Not a big deal--a mod will move it there shortly.
Did you do the factory reset in settings or recovery? It shouldn't matter since either way should wipe the cache partition.

I performed a factory reset through both ways, first i selected the factory restore options through settings. The second time, after i wiped the cache partition i booted the phone up and manually selected the factory restore.
The next thing I'd try is using Odin to re-flash the stock ROM, but that won't be necessary since you're getting a replacement device.

Out of curiosity, how would i go about doing that? What risks involved in flashing the ROM?

First, go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and get the firmware for your device and region. Dial *#1234# to find the firmware/CSC you're currently on.
Download Odin here and follow the instructions for flashing the ROM.
Since the ROM is made for your phone, there are no risks flashing it. If you try to flash the wrong ROM or do something wrong, it will simply fail.

Stuck on 'Phone is starting' after updating to Android 12

Hello!
I tried to update my phone (SM-G975U) via Odin from Android 9 to Android 12, got the firmware from SamFw.com. Everything went fine until the phone rebooted, after unlocking the phone gets stuck on 'phone is starting'. I CAN access the Set Up Menu, Uninstall apps, move some settings here and there, connect to Wifi/Bluetooth, receive calls, install apps using ADB. Also, theres a notification all the time that reads 'Phone restarted Unlock your phone to get app notifications', I'm assuming that the phone thinks it is not unlocked and that's why it doesn't fully boot up.
Some things that I've already tried:
Intalling another Launcher (Pixel Launcher)
Reinstalling the firmware (ver G975USQU6IVC7) / Trying with different CSC with no results
Wiping Cache in Recovery Mode
Deleting/Adding Fingerprints
Changing from Lock Pattern to NIP to Password
I don't really want to do the full wipe, I would like to keep my data or be able to export the photos (Device not Recognized by Smart Switch also)
Is there anything else I can do?, has anyone been through the same issue?
Is your phone rooted?

Hi !
@DannOsnaya have you found a solution to the phone problem other than restoring to factory settings?
I have the same problem at the moment, almost identical to what you experienced.
If anyone has some advice on how to fix this problem, please share your advice.

Any way to factory reset. I tried every possible way following YouTube but nothing works. It's just stuck. I've a backup of my data so not worried.
No, I still have the same issue.
Have you tried to install a launcher?

Nothing works. Now decided to show it to anyone. I guess the mobile shops have an option to erase everything. I don't understand how did it happen because it's usually with my toddler, he might have done something.

I followed a video and wiped out. Finally successful. I wasn't worried about data as Google has a backup.
I followed this method and finally it's factory reset.
