Recently my phone battery started dying on me very fast, i would leave it over night and in the morning the phone would be empty although it was fully charged. This started happening after installing an app which i think might had malware. I did a factory reset but nothing changed. The phone is rooted. So if anyone can help me find the right firmware i'd really appreciate it. I found one which matches with my phone's baseband and build number, but i'm not sure if it's still the right one.
Baseband version:
I9301IXXUAOD2
Build number:
KOTH49H.I930IXXUAOF1
Download the appropriate firmware from sammobile
And while flashing in Odin tick that nand erase all choice
It will erase the phone's nand and rewrite all the firmware again.

Hi guys,
I got my Samsung Galaxy Y about a month ago, after looking at custom roms and such, without really reading into it (Like an absolute moron) I just went ahead and flashed, PDA, Phone And CSC and my network has stopped working.
The phone was locked to telstra, but I have rooted and unlocked it from the network (After losing network operator connection)
I've searched high and low for a fix to my problem in hope that I have not completely stuffed my phone.
Code:
Firmware versions:
PDA: S5360DXKL2
PHONE: S53650XXLA4
CSC: S5360OLBKL2
From the knowledge I gained over the last 2-3 days trying to fix this problem. This doesn't look correct at all. (And I hope someone here has this phone in Australia with the original rom, I believe that the original ROM for my phone was: DXLA1 or something along those lines.
Code:
About Phone:
Android Version: 4.1.1
Baseband: S5360XXLA4 (WHY?)
Build Name: NXT2ICSv2
IMEI and operator settings stayed as normal and didn't corrupt.
After wondering about this for days, I thought I'd get some help. Does anyone have any suggestion on how I should, if i can fix it?
Thanks.
EDIT:
I have S5830TDVKQ3_S5830TTELKQ3_S5830TDVKQ3_HOME.tar.md5,
Troubleshooting Instructions:
1.Restart your phone if you lost your signal(hold power button until your phone turns black and then release power button).
2.If the method 1 doesn't works, Try turning off your phone and remove for 5 minutes your SIM card and then blow the SIM card slot then after 5 minutes, Re-insert the SIM and turn on phone and see if this method works.
3.Try re-flashing your firmware using ODIN.
4.try checking your CSC , maybe you selected the wrong CSC.
5.Do a hard reset by dialing *2767*3855# in your dialer
if all the method that i've listed doesn't works , re-lock your phone to your carrier , unroot , factory reset and then bring your phone to your carrier's store where you got your network-locked galaxy y.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for your help. It was as easy as calling the telstra shop and asking what firmware was needed, getting it from sammobile and splitting it then reflashing the original firmware.
Turns out that the firmware Telstra is using for their 5360 is TAJKK3. (Austria) Does anyone know why this is?

you just saved my phone + 1 THANKS
i have a similar problem where can i download the software tajkk3 and put it on my phone thank you very much
oh and also did it work for you?
Hi everyone,
first of all i hope it`s not a double thread, I could not find any BTU discussion of 4.3.
I`m getting really lost in this OTA / Kies compatibility over here..
My S4 was rooted now I`m trying to restore it to official state to make it OTA update compatible again.
The phone was bought in UK, GSM phone.
There was a matching firmware, which should be compatible for updates here, but i keep getting the same "Your firmware is not supported..." error message again and again.
Details:
AP: I9505XXUEMJ7
CP: I9505XXUEMJ7
CSC: I9505BTUEMJ8
Current binary: Samsung Official
System status: Official
Later on 2nd try:
AP: I9505XXUEMJ7
CP: I9505XXUEMJ8
CSC: I9505BTUEMJ8
Current binary: Samsung Official
System status: Official
So far after trying to help my problem with Google all I got, that I9505XXUEMJ7+I9505XXUEMJ7+I9505BTUEMJ8 is the latest official state and BTU is for the UK.
If someone could explain what is wrong here, I would be very happy.
Thanks.
Thread says the same, that I`m using the correct version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
Is my question so stupid or is it an unique problem that I have so no one will reply?
Maybe I'm missing something here but have you reverted to stock, stock recovery and Triangle Away first. You cannot receive OTA updates or Kies if your device is rooted or has a custom recovery etc...
Yes, Triangle away done, stock rom, stock recovery.
Cool, is BTU the correct firmware for you? Are you on a different carrier there? Can you flash the stock ROM you want through ODIN? (gotta run for lunch but I'm sure someone better than I will help)
restock
put phone into download mode
open kies select firmware upgrade initialisation
enter model number and serial number in capitals
make sure both are correct you can find it on the box or under the battery.
Thanks everyone, I`m gonna do it all over again this evening. BTU is correct for me, its unbranded gsm unlocked phone from UK.
Edit: Boring day in job here.. redone the whole thing and it works now.
Thank you everyone, again.
So I have checked far and wide across the net as to what I am suppose to do. First of all here is my device info:
Bootloader version: I337UCUEMK2
Baseband version: I337UCUEMK2
PDA version: I9500XXUEMJ9
CSC version: I9500XXUEMJ9
Product code: Not Active
Phone Model: GT-I9500
Build number: ORG.I9500XXUEMJ9
Modem Board: MDM8215M
Android Version: 4.3
I would like to update to KitKat 4.4.2 as I checked sammobile and there is a 4.4.2 firmware for my country despite not purchasing the device in my country (Jamaica). The dilemma I face though is that I'm not sure if it is a GT-I9500 firmware should be installed or a SGH-I337 firmware as you can see the bootloader is that of a I337 and the PDA version is I9500. Also would it affect me if I flash a different firmware from the one I have. I've tried updating through Kies but there is no update and I also tried OTA which proved unsuccessful as well as there were no updates. What should I do?
What is written in download mode? That's your phone model.

It seems like you can install i9500 roms and firmwares, because in your bootloader it shows that your phone is this

So I booted into download mode or odin mode and it says this:
Product name: SGH-I337
Current Binary: Samsung official
System status: Official
Knox Kernel: 0x0
Knox Warranty Void: 0x0
CSB-Config-LSB: 0x30
Write protection: Enable
eMMC Burst Mode enabled
How can the phone be an I9500 and then in odin mode say it is a SGH-I337. Also of note when I tried updating via OTA it was the AT&T update checker came up and said there was no update. Was it that the phone was flashed with an AT&T rom?
Any updates for this? I suffer from the same problem. Thanks!

It's not really a problem. My guess is that you are running a custom rom where someone just edited the device info to a i9500. Or you are running stock but someone just changed the model name. No big deal. I can also name my phone anything that I want.
I bought my phone on ebay, which comes with AT&T rom. However, baseband and pda version is the same as jojosilvera. When I check online it seems that device is from Israel where KitKat update hasn't been released there (wtf). So I don't know what to do.

If you boot in download mode and it says you have a I337, then that is your model. Use roms for that model.

It does say SGH-I337. But since it's different in baseband I can't update the phone neither using Kios or on-fly AT&T updater. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Flash with Odin.
That was something I wanted to avoid. The seller offered me a return. Why would untouched firmware would be like this? Should I return it when I have the chance or just root & flash with another ROM? Thanks btw

Did you flash the firmware that was incompatible with your device?
You didn't tell what is your original CSC and what is the CSC you are using to flash?
Try to reflash the stock firmware for your device.
Use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app to know your CSC, and also to obtain the stock firmware for your device (Menu > 'Firmware Browser').

Hello, had same problem, as well and managed to fix it. Did you solve this?
To solve IMEI NULL (assume using stock ROM):
1. Download the modem from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475714
2. Go to download mode
3. Open ODIN and flash the modem only.

OK, your device is international Note 3 and you have flashed firmware for Note 3 Hong Kong. These firmwares are not compatible to each other, so it did brick your device.
Your original CSC is XSI (United Arab Emirates)
Try to download stock firmware for XSI and reflash it using Odin or Kies.
To obtain download link, open 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser', enter XSI in the CSC textbox, press Go button to search and select the firmware to download.
Gud luck.
I went on this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/ref-galaxy-note-3-sm-n9005-gsm-modems-t2842806
and downloaded NG1 modem, that did the trick for me.
Hello
Since the release of kitkat I haven't been able to able update my device and I still have 4.3 version of android on my Note 3 SM-N9005.
Whenever I check for updates it says I have the latest and with kies it says the same thing or says SM-N9005 won't initialize. I heard that I can update manually with odin but I had some questions and fears:
First of all will flashing with odin trigger my knox counter and make it 0x1? I have the Knox app too and working with it keeping my secret information in it.
The other and the most important problem I have is that which frimware should I download? my baseband version is XXUBMI6, and my region (which I checked it from /system/csc/sales_code.dat) is XSI. I am a bit confused with all this stuff and don't know what to do
Thanks in advance for your help please tell me what to do.

1. Flashing the correct firmware for your device via ODIN DON'T trig KNOX counter. Be relaxed.
2. One of the best method for know your CSC (code of country) is rebooting in STOCK RECOVERY and look close the text: "Applied the CSC-code: XXX" like in the pic attached.
