done that.. nothing....
only show battery temp, not CPU.
on my GT-N7000 system tuner pro and cpu-z show cpu temp, but on GT-P3100 is not....
maybe the cpu sensor hardware is missing on P3100?
i have installed the latest version on System Tuner Pro v2.5.7 ....BUT....
in settings i can choose the Celsius or Farenhait, so the application knows....but when i set up the widget i can't select "CPU Temperature"....
on my Note GT-N7000 it is....
this means that P3100 doesn't have cpu sensor?
Simply install any sensor app from Play Store (Android Sensor Box, Sensor List, Sensor Guru, or whatever else), and you'll get a definitive answer.
P3113, for example, does not have a temp sensor. I would guess the same for P3100.
Nope. The components inside do NOT have temp-sensing abilities.

yep....
it seems that only the battery have temp sensor
Hey guys.
I couldn't help but notice that in Antutu benchmark my gpu score was way lower than the stock S4, but also lower then HTC One too!
Some games were lagging too, but i'm not sure if the gpu is to blame here.
Anyway, in one day I tried oc on gpu, oc/uv on cpu, 4 different kernel, 2 TW roms, one GPE rom, CM10.2 rom, and in the end total wipe and flash latest stock rom with Odin.
Nothing worked!Gpu scores were still lower than what they were supposed to be?
Best case scenario my gpu was on par with HTC One, but after oc.
What is wrong with my S4??
Can you give me any advices?
Could the hot climate affect thermal throttling?
(Does the gpu even have thermal throttling?I thought only cpu had thermal throttling on the S4.)
I've attached a screenshot of my scores, take a look at how small the gpu (orange) bar is, compared to HTC One.
EDIT:
I put my device in the freezer for 5 minutes to get rid of the ambient temperature factor and after I tested again, 3d scores were normal.
Can ambient temperature really affect performance so much though?
Anyone, any ideas?

definitely the performance will decrease if the GPU and CPU temperature increases its same like laptops and desktops when u play games on it it becomes hotter and the FPS drops when temperature increases and FPS increases when it temperature decreases

Well, on with my S3 and my S4 i had these issues, not with any other of my phones or pc's.
Thanks for the answer though. (can't press the button, I've already given my 8 thanks for today)

depends on the build quality dude ...well no need to THANK ME its okay
I checked my cpu state in cpu z and I see that only core 1 and 2 are active. Core 3 and 4 are stopped. Nexus is quadcore so.why those cores are not working? Whatis the meaning of using 2 cores only when you have a quadcore installed in? I checked in some other applications too and it is.the same. It seeams that 2 cores are never used. How can I activate it? I am on miui 3.9.20 kernel franco 165 and android 4.2.2. Cpu overclocking works well.

Two words: custom kernel
If you do something intensive with your phone, it will use all cores. Why would you need 4 cores for UI anyway, Franco did a great job with his kernel.

If all your 4 cores were running even when doing nothing or just texting etc, your battery would be dead in a short time.
It activates all cores when playing games etc but stops cores when you don't need it to save battery.

Simple before you flash stuff read up on it to see exactly what it does. Also trickster or Faux app can help. You just cant flash things and then wonder why stuff changed.... LOL

I realize this is a very old thread but I'm having this very same issue on my Nexus 6. I checked both with Stock Android and LineageOS, both have 2 cores at random stop which makes the phone laggy. In both cases with full battery and me starting apps that require 4 cores. Restarting the phone will bring all 4 cores back.
I am using firekat ROM with the KT kernel, and I am stable at 2918 MHZ. I wanted to get a general representation of different speeds whether it be stock touchwiz or rooted and OC'd like mine. I really don't know what the best benchmarks are, so here's some numbers.
I achieved 1842 on Vellamo metal test.
1777 on Vellamo multicore test.
3480 on Chrome Vellamo browser test.
1104 on geekbench 3 single core.
3209 on geekbench 3 multicore
And more to come.
Sorry I am a noob on XDA and do not know how to attach screenshots.
Just to note (no pun intended), 2918 MHZ is the most stable OC I achieved. When I set to 3072 MHZ, my device overheats and reboots.

This phone is a beast. Why would you want to overclock it?

So here is a quick update, and my point is proven. I am running CM 12 builds now on my N4. CM can run toe to toe with Firekat, but firekat destroys CM in mulithreaded benchmarks.
CM does have bugs and broken things but, it is still faster than TW. To add to CM's defense, I'm running a base clock instead of OC'ed on firekat.
That being said, here are my benchmarks
Vellamo metal: 1856
Vellamo multicore: 1419
Vellamo browser ( Chrome ): 4051
And more to come.

i don't care about Benkmark
betrayed sansung
I've ditched Samsung this time for Huawei Ascend Mate 7
Just to tease.. default Rom: Chrome 3700 .. Multicore 1800 .. Metal only 1333.
Pretty good for a 6 inch screen, damn low price, hardware fingerprint scanner, metal frame phablet, slimmer than Note 4
Completely stock
Browser : 3683
Metal:1783
Multicore:1918
Not as high as I was expecting. I'm running FireKat with AEL kernel over clocked to 2.89Ghz, umbrella_core governor, I/O set to ROW, read ahead size is 1024, I left the voltages alone. My phone scored lower than a non modified Note 4!
Benchmarks are stupid and pointless anyways, but it's still interesting to run them. The real world performance with my phone is outstanding, so I'm happy.
I am wondering why my scores are so low. Especially in the cpu and ram department. Could it be a faulty device?

Just a side note this is completely stock. No root and no overclock. It this a corect score? Is antu comparing to other rooted devices.

That's about what I got stock. As long as your device performs well in the real world then that's all that counts. Benchmarks don't mean squat.
On another note, here's my latest benchmark done in the freezer to avoid thermal throttling. My phone is so beastly that Antutu couldn't verify it.
When I removed it from my freezer the CPU temps were around 25° C, so there shouldn't have been any thermal throttling going on.
Benkmark is so fiction
not carre about it
Here's my latest

Mine was on FireKat v11 as well
New benchmark with Vision X Lollipop, KT kernel, performance governor, and tested outside to keep the phone cool (25°F right now).
Stock - AnTuTu - 49591
Here is mine completely stock. I am with GCI In Alaska. Left is encrypted and right is not. Nothing running or installed. Everything updated.
Hope this helps.
stomped the G3 before and after encryption.

Hello guys,
Recently purchased a nexus 6p. Doesn't it have 2.0 ghz core? Why does CPU spy shows max till 1.5 ghz only? Any ideas?
Sorry if I sound noob.
Thanks
Answered your question in q&a thread
There are 8 CPU cores. 4 run at 2.0, the other 4 at 1.5.

Some apps only show the slower cores. (Slow Cluster)
GHZ
Issue solved! Moderator, I request you to close the thread. It has been noticed that some old apps like cpu spy doesn't show the 2 ghz core, whereas cpu z shows them.
Thanks everyone.
