What are your thoughts on the update

Very fast and smooth. Don't like the colors. Custom romz based on LP should really fly. Can't wait.

Love it. Seems a little buggy occasionally, slows down or apps crash. I may do a backup and factory reset/restore and see if that's better.
When it's not slowing down it's very snappy. Notifications are awesome.
I wish lockscreen notifications were a little more customizable. Only options available are:
Show all content
Hide Sensitive Content
Do not show notifications
What's missing is one that should say, "Do not show persistent notifications" For instance, I use copy bubble and sprint direct connect which are always in my notification panel. I had to turn that off or it will always show up on my lock screen.
I can't attest to touchwiz, I looked at it for a moment and then went back to Nova.

I like that it's smoother, but for a second i thought my update had reverted. I was hoping it had a more lollipop look, but i guess i can't complain.
As for the recents app, it's not as instant as i would like it to be , but that's fine too. I wish xposed worked because this DPI is driving me crazy, it's so ****ing big!.
overall i like it more than kitkat, just because it's lollipop and buttery smooth. Customization should come soon, so I will just to wait patiently.

Battery life is horrible! I hope I can go back to kk without issues. Did this update radio?

Mine seems pretty good. I've been using it checking it out all day.
Have you cleared the cache and restarted afterwards?

The update/upgrade was not running smooth. Jerky screen, some apps crashing. Then I did factory reset and reinstalled my apps fresh. Now it is very responsive.
The only thing I can't figure out is why my pictures in /storage/extSdCard/DCIM/Camera/ are not visible in the Gallery app. New pictures taken with the camera are saved in that same directory and are visible, but not the old ones. They are visible however in a file explorer.
In fact none of the media files on my extSdCard are visible in Gallery or Video. They are only visible in a file explorer.
Otherwise I like it....even the weird colors.
To get the Gallery to see the old photos and videos, I created new empty folders using a file manager then copied the photo/video contents of the old folders into the new empty folders.

so far so good on my end... I did a hard reset after the update and have yet to experience any bugs, lags, or force closes. I use the Google Now Launcher and the new animations look great. Can't speak for battery life yet as I just updated this morning but I'm not too worried as the Note 4 has always been great.
I did notice when I was initially on TouchWiz the status bar had a gradient tint to it... anyone else seeing this? It had always been fully transparent before

My battery life seems better with lollipop. I love the new colors in messaging. And i can't remember but the keyboard seems different. I like it a lot more the letters seem spaced out a little further and makes it easier to type.

Mines decent

It's like having a new phone. It's just that smooth. Samsung should be proud of their work.
OTOH, I love the new colors during the day, but at night it would be awesome to have a blacked out color scheme.

Agree with someone else's comment that it feels like an entirely new phone (even though Kitkat wasn't that bad).
Havent had it long enough to test battery life. Do wish there was the ability to swipe between tabs like the dialer and the ability to remove persistent notifications.
Lollipop FTW

Yup. Seems like a new phone. Better memory management and faster. Very smooth.

I would suggest the data reset option. I was having similar crash/slowness
So I uberwiped the phone in TWRP, then ODIN back to NK2 KK, upgraded OTA to L, did another factory data reset, then set up phone/rooted/installed TWRP. Phone is wayyyy faster and more responsive and zero crashes now
I scored a 52408 on ANTUTU benchmark with a stock rom and kernel.
Can not wait for custom LP roms, this phone will be killer at that point

Try a data reset, I had simlar issues and now they seem to be gone
You have to remember, the OTA update was over 1GB (compressed) and it completely rewrote the phones memory AND changed the run time to ART. You should probably expect some issues

Thanks, backing up my internal storage now and getting ready to wipe and clean install.

LP... sorry I can not wait for a way to change all the flipping colors... had to be designed by a woman.

Very snappy and smooth, but only after I wiped data and restored my apps via titanium.
Can't opine on battery use yet, I've been using the phone like crazy.

That's what I'm sayin! I haven't taken the ota yet. I'm just kicking back listening to user coments on the ota. My plan is to stay on my KK rom until I finish a dark themed Lolipop version. I'm not a fan of all this white and funny looking pastels.

Basically same here. Not updating till kernels are equally as far as kk, can theme some, and exposed works. I'm just fine on Xnote rc2 with AEL 7.2 kernel.

Thoughts about JB on PT-3113

So what are your thoughts about JB. So far i havent played with it alot and it seems a bit snappier but not alot though
I think its ok bit dont like the notification bar. The phone look doesnt soot the tab prefer the layout of ics. Performancenis very good though no lag
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda premium
improved wi-fi
I'm not sure, but I think the wi-fi reception has improved.
screen rotation
I disable the screen rotation but the lock screen still rotates
Does anyone meet the same problem?
I personally don't see much difference in performance. With the status bar moving to the top and performance about the same,I'd have to score it a -1 or a 0 at best.
i never saw any performance issue with ICS so i don't see any improvement in JB. I do love the google now / voice search stuff though.
I think some of you need to check you're TAB's.. I, like some here, have been running stock ICS (P-3113) & updated the other day (after the long wait for the official Jelly Bean update) & I noticed quiet a bump in performance. One thing that might have helped me was the fact that I did a Wipe/Factory Data Reset before I updated. I also didn't do a restore from backup, I actually reinstalled everything fresh & everything is running great so far! One thing that helps it feel faster is the fact that everything is so much smoother & jitter free now, I also notice apps open a lot quicker now.. no more little pause after touching an icon.
.:Things I like:.
Performance: The tab seems much "snappier" now.
Project Butter: The "stutter" is gone.. everything IS Buttery Smooth now!
Battery: Run time seems to have improved a little bit.. I was getting two days of light use on ICS, with JB I'm now on the third day at 44%.
Phablet UI actually isn't to bad, I thought I was going to have to use the tab in portrait mode all the time.. nope, put in landscape, disable screen rotation, done.
.:Things I don't like:.
I could do without the "shortcuts"? row on the right side in landscape mode.. Phablet UI.
I wish they would have left the soft buttons at the bottom where they were.. although, I am starting to get used to their new location now.
Notification bar at the top, really.. OKAY!?
Q: Is the root method the same as it was for ICS or has something changed.. if so, point me to the post w/the new method please. Thanks.
The TAB 2 now feels like a useful device I look forward to using every day. AWESOME.
Later, Phil B.
I'll agree with the post above. I first upgraded via kies and really didn't notice any performance improvement. But after a full wipe and reinstallation with Odin I see a marked improvement in performance. The whole UI is much "snappier" and the performance of demanding apps like NFS Most Wanted is also noticeably improved!
For those like me who hate the "phablet" look I posted a method here that will pretty much get you back to what you are used to.:good:
Oh and CF-Auto-Root still works for me!

yes, I have the same problem on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 but this is not really a problem. I have larger problems after the update to JB today:
1- I can't connect my galaxy tab 2 7.0 to PC, and I've installed the Kies but no help.
2- I hadn't have much free internal memory on Ice Cream Sandwich, but it used to work properly without any app to stop responding. But JB uses much more internal memory and this made the device very slow and it stopped working frequently (apps and even touch-wiz stops working) and I had to restart it every 2-3 minutes (even the keyboard on lock screen didn't appear to enter my password). So I had to uninstall lots of apps to free the storage and now I have 487 MB free, It had improved a lot but it's still slower than the past (with Ice Cream Sandwich). the apps starts slowly and sometimes they stop working and I have to restart the device.
here are my questions:
1- 478MB free internal storage is not enough for the JB? you have more free memory on your devices?
2- I've read that some have reset the device then update it and then reinstall everything, do you think this will help?
3- what about the problem of not connecting to PC? anybody has the same problem?
_______________
P.S. I've just master rest my device and install all my apps again and it worked, the problems are solved and JB looks good.

I would agree with that also. I was at the Gym yesterday morning when i updated my tablet .i get a wifi signal from the restaurant next door the signal was always weak when running on ICS but after i updated it to JB the connection seemed to be better The device seems to be snappier but i think im going to do a factory reset anyway and see what difference it makes.
Way better. I like the new layout as it unifies the Android experience. Faster and snappier. Was going to sell it soon if the Note 7 comes out but I may keep it. Via OTA. Battery seems longer too. Like the status bar percentage. Like the Video Player pop out to multi task. It's just great IMHO.

Without Allshare cast, the upgrade was not worth much to me.
I like it, using cryogen would love to get the peel app back, runs smoother and faster. New to android but have been a long time fan.

Is stock good enough for you?

I've been playing with this tablet for about a day now and I must say, I don't think I've ever had the feeling that I didn't need to Root for any reason, but this tablet just works so well out of the box that I'm not missing anything in terms of performance or applications.
I was just wondering if anyone decided to forgo the flashing/rooting/roming process because the tablet just works.
Amen brother. So good out of the box... Just tasted Google Play Music as well... Wow! Almost don't even need Nova Launcher with stock JB 4.3 haha I might not bother rooting this time round unless something really uber comes along
Well I do think it is very nice out the box. Smooth and snappy. So, yes stock is good enough for me right now. I have root and recovery, so if some custom rom comes along and it looks interesting, I may try it out. However, until that image is released, everybody is going to be pretty close to stock. The only thing I don't like is the toggles/tiles don't work like they should. I tap the wifi tile and it opens the settings for wifi, not turn it on. Not a big deal tho...
Nope. I need the custom re-boot menu and quiet hours and I can no longer live without Pie.
THe stock worked perfectly tho. I had no issues at all.
Gotta have root for the six axis app so I can game it up with my ps3 c controller

Action Launcher doesn't count in this discussion, personally. It's basically good enough to kick the tar out of launchers on just about any framework you'll ever find (although it does look a tad out of place on my otherwise Sense-running HTC One).
Mostly yes, but I still root because I enjoy using Greenify and there are some other behaviors that require more permissions than stock Android will give us. The inclusion of the app permission manager though is quite wonderful.

Long hold. They reversed the behavior from 4.2. Short tap = settings, Long tap = toggle on/off. Quite honestly, I prefer it in the 4.3 way better. I really don't turn off WiFi or Bluetooth, and having to go settings -> wireless -> bluetooth to get to the bluetooth settings was a bit much.
I root for the couple of apps that need it, but I run stock otherwise. Did on my original N7 as well.

Thank you for that brilliantly enlightening post.
I am happy with my stock setup right now. I am unlocked and rooted though. I also tried a couple of kernels but I am back to stock kernel. Same with ROMs. I will continue trying new ROMs but will keep using stock for now. My ultimate ROM will be a stable/clean ROM with Tablet UI.

Thanks. You are a shining example of conversational excellence.
Stock rom will be good enough until all if not all issues are resolved with the CM. Till then, ijust have my N7 rooted for titanium back up and other misc apps that require root.
Stock is good enough for my needs, but I installed CM anyway just to get that little extra
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Running stock + Root + Extra Power Menu
At least right now that is good enough since its so quick. I'd like to try out other roms or have a good kernel but going to wait til more testing is done with what is out there and get some of the bugs worked out as I've tried them but get mixed results for performance and stability. Right now stability is key and performance is very good as is stock, but more is always better, in due time
I find I miss the little things CM had. For example when downloading. In stock the arrow stays there constantly lit, it doesn't do the animation.
Thing is, it might look and feel smooth, but it can always get better. Rooting and custom ROMS just simply allow the further enhancements, customization, smoothness, and potential to save battery life. I really don't see any reason not to Root/use custom ROMS for any case as long as your comfortable with the process. Maybe if the device was used for business i could understand that maybe, but for personal usage why not take advantage of whats out there instead of settling for less? It's not like it voids your warranty anyways when you can always restore it to stock before turning it in.
To be honest I cant see how anyone can live without some of the great things that require root
Linaro/03 optimized kernels
Overclocking
PER APP DPI
Trickstermod
Rom Toolbox
Lux autobrightnes (If you read books on this puppy it's a must)
Fully featured equalizer - seriously this needs to be universal on all devices
SD Maid
Titanium backup
Custom toggles, and AOKP ribbon controls
Custom boot animations
...Stickmount (don't you need root for this?)
And thats just off the top of my head stuff that I personally use all the time. So I guess most of that stuff could be run on a "stock" setup, but where is the fun in that. What is the point in investing in suck an awesome dev device, and not loading up on the fantastic tools that have been made possible through the hard work of XDA's members?

Try a different browser, dolphin is awesome, and shows you tons of details when you download files. The notification icon itself is very unobtrusive.
Except that recent versions of dolphin have made it horribad. I found it so slow as to be unusable and have moved to chrome. Dolphin also force quits on my phone all the time for no apparent reason. Used to love it.

[Q] Stock is way too laggy but I want its features

Okay, so I'm looking for a little input here because I am torn. I was an avid flasher and supporter of the AOSP ROMs until I got this phone. I used CM and PA and a few others just to see what I liked but none of them offered quite the features and stability of pure stock but this is where I am really struggling.
For the longest time this phone was super fast. It did what I wanted it to do when I wanted it to do it. I'm not much for the keyboard so I installed swype and that seems to be where my problems began. Since day 1 the messaging app was always a disappointment. It would lag, not open fast or when it did open in a message i would have to close it to get to the messages list. When I added swype to the mix it just sucked. The touch responsiveness was late and slow, a lot of times the keyboard would freeze up and i wouldn't be able to do anything for a minute until it would unfreeze. I just don't see why it's doing this because it has 2 gb of ram and a beast processor.
Anything you guys could add to help? I love the phone but it's getting to be about as slow to use as the Droid Eris
Pretty sure this thread is supposed to be in the Q&A section. Don't be surprised to see it closed. Regarding your issue, to say your G2 is as slow as the Eris is a bit of a stretch. I don't doubt you're experiencing some lag, but saying it's as slow as a phone with 288MB RAM and clocked at 528 MHz is a little ridiculous.
You say you encountered these problems after installing Swype. Perhaps get rid of that keyboard. I personally use the stock Google keyboard as it can be downloaded from the Play Store.
And seeing as you're rooted, perhaps look through the development section for your particular variant to see if there are any optimized stock-based ROMs that might help speed things up.
Flex rom + g.lewarne kernel.
More feature and faster
What stock features? IR Blaster and Camera are available. Knock wake works.
I only used stock about 24 hours, but I didn't see much else compelling.. Quick Slide? Ugh. Quick Apps or whatever? Useless. Navbar customization? CM or AOKP can do that, etc.
If u have lag on stock, use a task killer to clear RAM when screen is turned off... Also root and use the fstrim app to TRIM your G2.... Mine never lags after this...

I feel as though I shouldn't have to clear ram considering there is 2GB of it.
And even though there is that much ram shouldn't android manage that in the background.
I do realize that TRIM isn't implemented in android until 4.3 but still...

It's more or less the camera that I really want. The aosp one is so minimalistic and lacking features but all of the ported lg cameras have features that don't work or are baked out of it to make it work. I also really enjoy knowing my phone can work 100% of the time without SOD's and no GPS (I do a lot of traveling in my free time). I need to know that if I am stranded in a town I don't know of I can pull out my G2 and call someone without any feedback or echoes and no drops in data

So the one feature you want, stock camera, works fine in other ROMs. I believe there is a few things disabled in it but not much. Here's the list from the stock camera thread:
No Object Tracking. You know that thing where a grid of little boxes shows up on the screen and one of them will turn green as the camera focuses? That's missing.
No Audio Zoom. It's still enabled in the UI, but I've patched out all the methods relating to it, as they caused crashes.
No transparent navigation bar.
No rotating navigation buttons.
Performance tuning - it's possible that this will run slower than it would on an LG ROM. The LG rom includes a class called
(Not on the list on the thread) - Front-facing camera may or may not work
So yeah, object tracking is really the only functional change. Autofocus works fine, just not the little green boxes. Whatever the difference is. And avoid using the front camera.
AOSP camera is minimalistic, but what features are missing? Do you really need 10 scene modes? No. Let's be realistic, the AOSP camera isn't doing well with low light or close-up flash (blows the photo) so there are problems but overall it works okay. And the ported stock camera works fine except for one minor feature.
GPS works, no call echos, no drops, no SODs etc.. I have had none of these issues on AOKP. GPS there are libraries missing from the AOKP build, but the files to flash are right in the OP. Stock camera, Quick Remote, etc all works fine too. I can't speak for any other ROMs. Rohan32's AOKP 4.3 is the ROM I'm using.
Uninstall Swype (I and other people I know have lag issues with it eventually), use the Google keyboard. Use Nova Launcher (Nova Prime would be ideal) set animations there for very fast or off, install Screen off and Lock for Knock off feature and set it with the Double tap gesture in Nova. Install LagFix for TRIM and run it. Go to developer options and turn off all animations. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I don't have mine rooted because I want to keep stock full stock. But what I have found is that clearing the ram after shutting off the screen actually helps a lot. I have had much less lag since I did that.
Something funny happened today. I went into texts and set the auto delete to after 1000 texts. Talk about the problems that followed. My phone was completely worthless. Even after closing the app and then restarting the phone. I have over 5k texts in one conversation between my girlfriend and I so I thought that might be making the stock messaging app run slow. But the auto delete didn't work at all. After spending about 3 hours trying to get back into the app I had to turn it off before I could do anything...

if you root you don't actually lose any features you just "unlock" the phone to get extras. the only time you can lose features is when you flash a custom rom. even if you flash a kernel you don't lose anything.

Oh believe me I am fully aware of what rooting and flashing Roms and kernels does to my phone. I've been an avid android user for a while. I have been flashing since the eris but on this phone I always end up back at stock but I always lose info when I revert back to stock. I don't want to flash anymore. I just want my flagship phone to work like it was worth my money
Changing to row and interactive got rid of the very tiny bit of stutter I had once and a while. The "lag" is really just the the CPU waiting on the system to tell it to clock up. Stock profiles are too slow.

LG G4 performance

So I bought my G4 from T-mobile yesterday as I did the initial install it feels choppy and laggy. After all the google play updates and restart the phone was still laggy when I move from app to app, home screen to setting and back. What I found out that help was changing the layout in Setting from Tab View to List View as you navigate around the phone like what I did previously everything became smooth and no longer laggy. Havent run into any issue with battery drain, wifi, touch screen, heat as most users describe yet will update if I find alternative solution.
After a fresh start (after factory reset, ROM flash, OS upgrade), the system does lots of indexing and set up, leading to a laggy phone and high battery drain. Give it a couple of days to settle down.
Yeah mine was same first startup is slow feels so laggy. But now feels great and battery life is also improved. I disabled most of google apps only have gmail.

Ahhh indexing that sounds quite about right for a moment I thought because UI itself throttle down the cpu of the phone so it seems laggy. Thanks for info hope it gets better in a couple of days as for apps that are not needed which bloatware apps do u guys disable so it doesnt run in the background and such?
Mine almost seems as if the phone doesn't have the resources to handle high usage. I'm waiting patiently for root so we can slim it down and better utilize cpu scaling (on demand, performance, etc)

The G4s (And I guess along with other phones) do have a sizable amount of bloatware installed as well. Just looking at the apps pre-installed from out of the box, there's quite a bit for a brand new phone.
Even though my G4 is broken in now, I found that after I disabled a buttload of these apps, it felt a bit snappier.
And I guess as a recommendation since you just got the phone. Replace the text messaging app ASAP! Stock is garbage, after I imported about 10'000 messages from my old phone, it slowed down as if I had it for a while. After replacing it with Textra. It's smooth as butter. Best decision I've ever made, and I generally hate leaving stock app for another one because I prefer less clutter.
Another one is to replace the stock keyboard with something like SwiftKey. This is a no brainer after using the stock keyboard for a while.
Some choose to replace Chrome as well with Firefox, or nochromo.
Just my top 3 recommendations for our G4s. After doing these 3, everything felt a lot better.

Yeah took your advice and replace with google stock messenger, swiftkey, and have not try out the nochromo yet
My G4 works just amazing and it is very smooth and snappy. My version is H815L.
Exactly one must wait about two days so it all settled down. A factory reset helps if your phone didn't come with the newest update 5.1 or what not. But yeah
Mine didn't come with too much bloat if at all so I never had any lag issues, but using Textra and SwiftKey helped a with speeding it up. The stock messaging app wasn't cutting it

No. There're countless threads where things such as battery life and performance shot up after 2 days.

It is getting smoother and snappier but still see that animation lag when you're at home screen and press app drawer..do that multiple time and you will see the jitter. BTW I also disable alot of unnecessary app dont know if this come into play and also an option in Battery Setting where it say to reduce game graphic I turn that off:good:. Hopefully it is running at higher cpu/graphic frequency. Question does anyone know what OEM UNLOCK is in Developer menu?
I can play godfire without any issues
Oh look, it's you!!

MM Android 6.0.1 Ho do you find with the new hydrogen ROM?

Do you find any bugs or improvement?
I've never installed any hydrogen ROM (always oxygen) but i'm curious to know if MM is more fluid than LP.
Does doze works?

Well, I've tested it. I can say that the Fingerprint is a huge improvement compare to OxygenOS' one. For the rest of the ROM, it seems to be pretty solid and smooth. I don't tested it more than 20 minutes (really don't like HydrogenOS..), but yeah, it seems to be a good improvement compare to OxygenOS in general. But I've had some troubles going back to OxygenOS, so if you want to test it out by yourself, be sure TO BACKUP EVERYTHING important into your PC (or out your phone).
But yeah, I hope OxygenOS will be as fast and stable as HydrogenOS is.

Here's hoping. I just can't get used to H2OS any time I've tried it. I guess I'd still rather use something closer to stock Android, even if it doesn't perform as well!
But if you change hidrogen launcher (with nova or GEL) doesn't seems like a vanilla ROM? Are there other changes from Oxygen over the quick settings and the launcher?
p.s. is only in english and chinese?

yes, only 2 language
the difference are in, launcher, notification, quick setting, different swipe (left for close app o erase notification, right for open notification or lock app, so you can't kill it in multitasking)
I've been running it for a couple of days. First thing I did was to remove some of the Chinese stuff. Second was to change the launcher.
There are fewer options for customization, probably because MM is new to the opt, and that its beta software.
The thing I miss is the automatic activation of do not disturb from the cm builds, not a deal breaker. There's no dark theme, but layers manager seems to do the trick.
It's fast, FP works better than any lollipop rom I've tried and at par or better with the FP on iPhone.
The only problem I e noticed with camera is occasionally it's slow to respond, possible due to doze, also the audio level seems to vary when recording video.
I didn't notice smart lock, but my email server prevents me from using it anyways.
The sound quality from the speaker seems clearer.
I've always had poor battery life battery is much improved, and it got better when I removed Facebook, this is subjective as I haven't tested it out much.
Some of the settings are hard to find, but it a learning curve.
Wifi will drop when doing a soft reboot, for theme changes, and it won't reboot into recovery with flashify, or reboot at all with xposed, again no big deal. Cycling wifi on/off in control panel brings it back I've occasionally lost the 4G/3G indicator, but data is still active, again cycling data on/off brings it back.
A few xposed modules won't work with mm, but that's kind of DUH, they aren't updated. I'm impatient for "alert slider" to get an update, as the flashlight on is very useful to me. I haven't installed many modules as they all are for lollipop. YouTube background playback works.
LTE seems to work, but it says 4G, I can use either sim and get LTE, something I missed on any other MM rom.
I did lose my twrp, but I flashed it over adb, and it now working with power and vol+
I installed kingmericans hos today. Like everyone has noticed FP is blazing fast. Rest is more or less the same as LP hos. A few lags here and there but it's definitely way better than OOS. Even I CNT get used to hos. I revert back to vanilla android eventually but I'm glad at least one plus got one of their ROMs to be nice.
I found it fast and stable. Great job, I was happy in lollipop, now I'm 10x times happier with this device even we don't have custom kernels yet. (Of course nobody will work in a kernel for a leaked beta)

Not anymore, you can swipe both sides to erase notification or recent app. That thing was on lollipop h2os.

For me was terrible. Now I clean flash it again and it looks better, I will test a few more days. Now I have 3h screen with maps 40m (GPS), WiFi and 4G, and 47% left.
I should erase logkits and all that stuff. I don't do it because I have done it before (before 2nd clean flash) and i had terrible battery life.

I used the leak for 2 days had a hard time coming back so i wouldnt recommend it.... But there were many bugs beyond that, the phone was extremely fast and fp sensor was just amazing didnt get an error in 2 days that ive used and but bugs do persist.. Lets just wait for the stock oos, its gonna be a great update

Using Kingmercians Hydrogen OS and with Google Now Launcher it is really quite amazing. Sure, it isn't as good as Oxygen, but it is Marshmallow and that alone makes it worth it. You can customize Hydrogen OS to be perfectly OK and while Oxygen is indeed preferred I'd rather use this until Oxygen comes out and then just install Oxygen, it's not like it is hard to switch ROM's.
Well it's butter. Can't stand OOS after this. Xposed works so customization galore. Of course battery is much better. Heck even Viper works. Finally OP2 works.
H²OS MM <3
Hey !
I just give my personal opinion.
I find this first beta v1.0.2 & TWRP 3.0.0 by Kingmercians incredibly robust and fluid.
The FP sensor is a marvel and is faster than the iPhone 6 Plus ! ;p
In addition it consumes nothing with Servicely ! And the best part about it is that the power save mode is 100% lag free !
I tried to return the phone in all directions, with Xposed v80 where I encountered some problems with Gravity Box...
Especially the percentage of battery level that does not stop to make small jumps. If I put the default settings in Gravity Box and puts the battery percentage from the system menu, it disappears in seconds...
(So I deleted Gravity Box and everything is back to normal when you reboot.)
If not except it Locale More works very well too. (For me it's in French !)
One last thing if I had the choice the first time I used the Oneplus 2 to change the preinstalled ROM (OOS), I would do it again when we see H²OS is its superb IOS like interface.
At any point of view I prefer H²OS.
Do not forget this is a beta, some bug not very important, works better than OxygenOS 2.2.0, there is no doubt.
Peace.
