Hi there,
Got a little question for my S3 Neo:
Why do i get a faster GPS-Fix with the GPS-Mode "Only GPS" than with the mode "High Accurency"?
I just want to know if there's a technical answer to this question or if my S3 does some magic stuff.
thanks,
Maxi

gps only uses just gps sensor and high accuracy uses gps sensor as well as internet location. simply if u are in outdoor place gps only in best but for indoor high accuracy is better..

yes, of course.
the ideea is first to have the autofocus implemented, since the current camera sw which is coming with the phone seems not to have this feature. Thx for help.
a. am inteles. incerc sa fac un rom si eu momentan, si caut idei, sugestii, etc .
AFAIK, autofocus is a mechanical feature of cameras...
So I don't think any software will be able to provide autofocus, unless Jade has it but HTC did not implement it, which I doubt...

Buy a phone that does what you want it to do, don't imagine you can magically make one you buy do everything you want it to.

Yes, focusing is about the movement of the lens, so it is merely mechanical.
Anyway, the Jade camera can still take pic in acceptable quality if:
1) there is sufficient light source (eg outdoor under briight sun-shine)
2) keep sufficient distant from the objects (eg 1 meter or above)
3) keep your hand still as you can when taking photos
when people speak they should know about what they are speaking or stay quiet!!!
unlike what everyone said here it´s not just a mechanical question it´s also a software issue because i inserted a htc touch diamond camera on the htc jade and no autofocus function was available with the camera but diamond has autofocus and you know what pictures with jade lens here actually better.. so instead of speaking without knowing you should be quiet!!!
hey if you want to download jarfx then click on the link
Hi,
I've just flashed the GE rom on my international I9505 and I'm not missing any of the extras except for the screen modes. I really hate the over saturated colors of the amoled and was really happy using "movie" mode on touchwiz.
My question is - is it possible to port this functionality to the GE rom or is there an app for ajdusting the screen?
Thank you all!

Actually in S4 standard screen mode is the most accurate one because screen is magnitudes better than S3, which produced extremely over saturated colors in standard mode.
here's in depth review of S4 screen, as you can see Standard mode produces the most accurate colors.

Hi,
I didn't watch the video as it it 22min long, but I can tell you that standard is not accurate by any means. You don't even need to compare it to anything else to notice that. Reds/pinks are terrible and so are some shades of blue. I work on a calibrated monitor so this really bothers me.
I can see the average user liking standard better, but it's nice to have the option.
And here i thought every galaxy s owner used the dynamic screen mode

i linked exact time code in the video where each display mode is reviewed with charts, and standard mode clearly has the most accurate color reproduction. now please show me proof that standard mode isn't good?

Either way, I don't know why you started this argument. I just asked if it was possible to port this to the GE rom.
Interesting bit from the second link
The S4′s display is also notably more efficient than the S3′s. Average power efficiency for the S3 (compared at the same hypothetical screen size) came out to 0.83W. The S4, in contrast, hits 0.70W. That’s within spitting distance of the iPhone 5′s 0.66W and it’s another sizable improvement for OLED technology.

B2T is there any way to do a display mod, the film settings on TW roms are really much better!
Hi all, i was wondering if the note 4 has an accurate noise-measuring. I know my s2 for instance was capped at 98db and s3 at 83db or something. I saw youtube videos of people using the same app on different devices together + a professional db meter and they were pretty accurate. I cant find anything about this phone's limit/accuracy do is someone capable of testing this or find a source with info?
So i got this 10$ VR Headset (similar to google cardboard) to use with my phone for some entry level VR experience. I have also enabled the virtual gyroscope on the device. However, the experience is very shaky. Can i do anything to improve the accuracy of the gyroscope? Thanks in advance.
P.S : I know 720p display is not good for VR but i have no problem regarding the resolution. That shaky experience makes me dizzy very quick (about 10 minutes) and i can barely select anything by gazing.

Not much but again that is not what i am asking here. I know it is a virtual gyroscope, however some searching showed that many phones with virtual gyrscope get flashable zips to improve the stability (many motorolas being in that list). I know that virtual gyroscope gets as precise as virtual can be, but i asked if i was missing anything regarding that. Thanks for answering and sorry for the late reply, was on vacation.
Hello all,
a friend of mine will soon receive the ZE553KL and she's a bit concerned about the GPS quality. Having A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS i assume it is pretty accurate. A search in the forum didnt return any results about the overall accuracy so i thought i ask here.
Thanks!

I've had no issues with the GPS personally - I use Runkeeper and Android Auto (on-phone) quite often and it's always just worked fine.
