[Q] Update Kitkat: unbranded firmware to branded firmware - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
When I bought my Note 3(unlocked), the firmware was Italy TIM, and I have flashed the Romania Cosmote, then Romania Unbranded.
Now I'm trying to flash back Romania Cosmote.
I just tried to upgrade my N9005's firmware from N9005XXUGNG1 (Romania Unbranded stock 4.4.2) to N9005XXUGNI4_N9005COAGNK1_N9005XXUGNI3 (Romania COSMOTE stock 4.4.2). The big problem is when flashing the xxugni4 firmware with odin 3.10, this it what happens:

<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..

And now, Download mode says:
ODIN MODE

ODIN: Invalid ext4 image
Then I flashed back the N9005XXUGNG1 (Romania Unbranded stock 4.4.2) and all just work fine, but I want the N9005XXUGNI4_N9005COAGNK1_N9005XXUGNI3 because is newer.
My phone is unlocked.
I have tried ODIN: 3.10, 3.09, 3.07, 3.04, 1.85.
My avast is disabled
I have also tried all my USB ports.
Still have the problem...
Any solutions to do this? Thank you a lot!

You don't seem to have a clue what you are doing and you are very lucky that you did not f*ck things up really big time.
The problem (so far, if you insist with the clueless experiments you WILL do more damage sooner or later) is that the internal partitioning scheme is slightly different between different versions and most notably the partition used mostly for upgrades and named "hidden" is much bigger in certain models to be able to take extra bloatware from carriers. There is a recent thread somewhere in General with more info on that.
My advice - don't seek the "latest" sh*t just since it looks newer, stay with what works. Also LEARN before jumping to doing things - it is still possible (but not very simple, you really need to learn things) right now to have root with knox 0 and the benefits from that (and using it to the max) vastly outweigh the imaginary benefits of having the "latest version".
OH, and the very first thing to do once you have root - BACKUP YOUR SPECIAL EFS PARTITIONS! (at least modemst1, modemst2, fsg). Again LEARN how to do things so that you don't instead f*ck things up.

My Note 3 Bricked?? MJ7

I have this problem with my Note 3. So after 2 weeks I decided to flash a new rom. I rooted my device in a weird way using CF Auto Root. After flashing that using Odin I get a PASS but the device stayed stuck on Samsung Logo. Pulled the battery then boot into Download Mode then hit Restart. Everythings fine but the device wasnt rooted so I used Kingo to finish the root. Finally rooted properly so I flashed Omega Rom V6 for the N9005 model. Everything was fine but I noticed my Android OS was draining a bit of battery life so I decided to flash a new Kernel. The kernel I used was in Omega Files Pro but it was for a different baseband. MD3 or something like that...cant remember. (I KNOW THIS MY FAULT FOR FLASHING A DIFFERENT KERNEL) So after the reboot my device was working fine. But after turning it off and on my baseband went to UNKNOWN. So I tried flashing Stock kernel but didnt help. So I flashed Omega Rom V6 again and still no luck. I then flashed Original Stock Firmware from Sammobile. Got a PASS but the device kept turning on and after about 30 secs it would turn back off and on again for another 30secs..roughly. Flashed Stock Firmware again now I get a fail.....
My warranty is voided obviously because of root.
When I turn the device on normally i get this...

This looks like a carrier rom - "hidden" partition. Most of these seem to fail when flashing as the partition table is larger for these carrier roms... You need a pit file.
If you flashed another rom recently that wasn't carrier it may have reduced the partition table size so when you flash the carrier rom it no longer fits - this is just a theory..

AFAIK, HongKong phone can't be flashed with other region's fw due to some differences in hardware....
You must flash HK fw....
You are right, its working now. Do you know what custom rom can I install on Hong Kong version? I was trying to install Darklord note 5 port, but its bootlooping on samsung logo. So i stayed on CM 12.1.

SM-G900F / Secure Check failed : Modem

Hi there,
a friend gave me his daughters phone for repair. I replaced the screen and the USB socket, home button pcb. Apart from that I did not touch the phone. It booted nicely and worked well. It was all stock.
A week later he came back and the phone would not boot anymore. In the upper left corner was the "secure boot" and "waranty bit set" notice. I assume that somebody else tampered with the phone and unsuccessfully tried to root it. His daugter denies.
I wanted to bring the phone bach to stock. Downloaded
Code:
G900FXXU1CRA2_G900FDBT1CRB1_G900FXXU1CQK3_HOME.tar.md5
from sammobile and flashed it to the phone.
Latest German firmeware DBT (unbranded)
Flashed it using ODIN V3.13.3
ODIN showed success.
However. The phone got stuck in Bootup on the Samsung splash screen. I left it there for more than 20 min just to make sure it realy was stuck and removed the battery.
I tried to reflash and ran into diferent errors. The latest is:

That´s what happen on my SM-G9900F a few weeks ago, what I did was using the TWRP and wipe all including the system and reinstalled again via ODIN the stock ROM.
