[Q] stock rom flash fail - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
-sorry for my english I dont speak well but...
phone: I9505
I was testing cyanogemod 10.1.3 for a while but then I decided get back to stock rom, did full wipe and put this ROM I9505XXUBMF8 into Odin and start flashing but he said this:

<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
-then I couldnt go to system, recovery just to download mode so I flashed TWRP.
(I tried another stock rom, odin, PC but always same problem.)
-then i tried get back CM 10.1.3 via TWRP and it flashed and work without problem.
-then I tried flash omega rom via TWRP and it flashed without problem but booting is very slow and during the logo Samsung it takes about 10mins to boot into system and device is very hot.
-Everything about Kies and antivirus is off.
-Using just original USB cable.
-what says download mode:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: gt-i9505
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM

KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0X1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0X30

START [224, 1440]
SW REV, CHECK FAIL : FUSED : 2 , BINARY : 1
Any ideas how to resolve this?
Thank you

you have a secured bootloader, you can not flash old firmwares, flash MH8
use search button, there is a lot of threads talking about this issue

[Q] Soft brick on Samsung S4 but cant write stock rom?

Hey guys,
I had succesfully rooted my device. a few weeks ago. because i wanted cyanogenmod rom on it i tried to flash CWM recovery menu.
now my device gives the following message:
firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again.
Now i tried to reflash the stock rom with odin.
i downloaded the stock rom for my area (i guess)
i also downloaded a europe .pit file (someone said that on a tutorial how to remove soft brick)
Tried flashing

so your saying basicly that i should just try to reflash cyanogenmod? do you have a link to the version i can use. just to make sure i use the right one and don't screw it up more..
thanks for your help already btw.
I downloaded the newest CM i can find? CM 11-20140327? also i have the newest gapps i can find.. though its 20130813.
but how do i flash the recovery menu?
NVM i gave you a lot of false information< i had the firmware fault while installing clockworkmod recovery menu< not cyanogen< both with C im sorry.. i needed a recovery menu to install cyanogen. thats why i had problems.. i tried flashing to get the recovery menu and that failed. that gave the issues.. not cyanogen
Need to go puppy training with my dog< back in an hour or so

try this. Go to : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2643109
download the latest czech NC2. This one no need pit file.
Just put it under PDA/AP, no need to tick repartition. Then after your phone connected, click start.
Your reactivation lock is OFF already, so no need to worry about this.
Ok thank you, i will try do as you said mate and i will let you know about results as soon as its possible ! hopefuly it will works because i started be worried about i spent lot of money and lost the phone hehe

@jacek88zs : If urs is 16gb, I think u need a pit file. Urs is hongkong version I guess.
Take a look at this thread :

[Q] Back to stock or not, stock ROM failure.

Hi All, I think I have read everything and tried all methods and I have now run out of ideas. Hoping it's something simple i'm missing.
So my I9505 has been rooted for some time and I would now like to return to stock to give the phone to my mother-in-law.
I am able to access twrp custom recovery and stock recovery modes, I'm able to flash custom rome using twrp. However I don't seem to be able to flash a stock rom using the method below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477&highlight=complete(write)+operation+failed
My phone is currently up and running in the following state:
Android Version: 4.4.2
BaseBand Version: I9505XXUFNAD
Kernel Version: 3.4.0.2091210 [email protected] 1
Build Number: Echoe_Illusion_KOT49H.I9505XXUGNG2
SE for Android Status: Enforcing SEPF_GT-I9509_4.4.2_0018
Secure boot status: Type: Samsung
Security software version: MDFF v1.0 Release 2
Every time I try the odin method above to install stock ROM i get to Complete Write Operation Failed.
I have tried different odin versions, different machines, different cables.
The two ROMs I have tried to flash are:
I9505XXUEMK9_I9505EVREMK1_I9505XXUEMK9_HOME.tar.md5
I9505XXUFNB9_I9505BTUFNE1_I9505XXUFNB9_HOME.tar.md5
Any ideas please
Hopefully something simple I'm doing wrong.
Might be the file u downloaded be corrupt
Try downloading again then wipe dalvik cache and flash.

Thanks, I have done this several times. Still nothing, very frustrating and time consuming
Post the complete Odin log.
Try only 4.4.2 roms and nothing below that.

It just looks like a standard Odin error.
- Make sure Kies is not running in the background
- Different cable
- Different pc

Hooray!!!! Well I tried another PC, and for some reason this time it has worked. Nothing different about the three machines. Same software, same ROMs, same process. Two wouldn't work, one did.
Thanks again for pushing me to try another machine.

[Q] Newbie Helping : Note 3 soft bricked

Evening all ,
Hopefully someone here can help , Im somewhat of a newbie to this but was currently running Xnote Rom on 4.3 , I tried to upgrade to N9005XXUGNG1 following steps read on a well known website.
I received a "invalid ext4 image" error from odin and now stuck in a soft brick state where i can only access download mode. I am currently trying to get out of this back to a stock phone. I live in the UK and am on EE 4G.
Thanks in advance
UPDATE: Tried flashing N9005XXUDMK2_N9005OXXDMK3_N9005XXUDMJ7_HOME.tar.md5 with the following results:

hmm..
try this..
take battery out and put it back in after 30 seconds.. then boot to download mode..
use odin to flash the latest gng1 rom..make sure to tick update bootloader in odin
take another stock ROM, you partition sizes dont seem to match to the rom u want to flash. i suggest to use the latest BTU Android 4.4.2 rom ( sammobile.com/firmware )

SPH-L720 - Trying To Return To Stock. aboot.mbn operation failed

I am trying to get back to stock firmware after using a custom 5.0.2 ROM. I've tried about everything I could find on forums/website and have come up empty handed. I have tried all the general stuff... USB Cables, USB Ports, Computers, etc. In the process of trying to flash back I tried going back to an older version of android which I guess was a bad idea, because that breaks the sound because of KNOX. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When trying to flash MJA with Odin this is what I get.
This is what I get on the phone screen.
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SPH-L720
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enabled
eMMC BURST MODE: enabled
START [224, 1448]
SW REV. CHECK FAIL : fused : 5, Binary : 4
This is what shows up in Odin's log window.
