It is ported for Wildfire S, but the RIL and Camera and other stuff not working, and missing support of ARMv6, so its unusable i would port it too, if Firefox releases the ARMv6 support as they promised... but they havent released the support for it yet

What does Sense 2.1 add over 2.0?
I don't think it's what added over 2.0 that matters, but the underlying OS, ie Android 2.3.
If this is true it would be sad.

Quick setting button when you slide down the notification panel, better calendar,
etc. But the point is if they already stop updating the interface for their phone
because they prefer to concentrate their efforts on newer phones, then you can't expect a long term support for the desire z, HD and desire.
Here's an overview of 2.1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzrneY5tbo0
that would be the last site that i trust...lol..
wont trust that site either
anyway custrom roms might be comming anyway
I bet the Sense update will be released with Gingerbread : http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/htc...t-for-android-23-gingerbread-update-50002752/

Dear All Wildfire Users,
I would like to know if you could provide me some information & comparison between Wildfire & Galaxy Ace...
I'm going to purchase among these two...
Thanks...
Just by going though the tech specs, the Galaxy Ace seems to ace the Wildfire everywhere (Far better CPU, a good GPU, Larger Screen, Better Screen Res, ). The only downside as of now I see is the lack of the modding community for it. (Expected though, since it is a new phone)
I think samsung is not too popular in usa & europe...only asia & india...
that's why not many modification...only thing is the Ace is not support flash browser
Even Wildfire does not support it, just FYI.

Absolutely not. Flash is a feature included by default in Froyo 2.2, but, it requires ARMv7 or newer processors to run. Wildfire has an ARMv6 processor, so, Flash will never work on the Wildfire (Unless Adobe redesigns it to work with old hardware, which is next to impossible).
The only thing that works on Wildfire is FlashLite, along with Sense based ROM's, however, as expected, this is nowhere close to the real thing.

well u don't have to download any flash player and you can download skyfire browser which plays flash by using the existing skyfire server. Try it ..

I am using HTC HD2 with android nand roms. After Froyo wich was really good on HD2 i installed some gingerbread ROMs.
I love HTC sense so i always use Roms with sense UI.
Like all other using gingerbread i have the typical graphic glitches. There is a fix of this, but using this will bring the camera to stop working.
My Question to the developers:
Is there a real chance, that this bugs will be fixed and camera and graphics will do fine?
Can we support the developers fixing this issues?
Will there be a fix from HTC/when?
I am very happy with android and appreciate the lots of work of the developers. Thank you, its great.
I am thinking about giving my HD2 away and buy a Samsung Galaxy S2.
If there will be fixes of this bug in short time i will keep my HD2 on.
If there is no possibility of fixing this, i will change to Galaxy S2.
Thanks for your hints.
Definitly not the proper section, it should be in Q/A...
BUT :
I'd love to see a dev/chef offering a fully working Froyo Sense. No 2.1 or 3.0. Sense is only experimental now, there is no more stable and up to date version of Froyo Sense which is a shame.
RafDroid is out of date and Incredible S (imilka) buggy with many apps FC...
should post this in Q&A
as for imilkas incredible s build, never had any issues with it and wqas running it for at least a month and half before changing never had any force closes
Try the game Cordy...
fix for graphic glitches?
I installed HTC HD2 Android Gingerbread on Nand. The typicel GB-graphic glitches suck very much.As far as I understand, is it possible for the devs to fix this bugs as soon as HTC releases the Kernel Source Code of GB.
When will HTC release this source?
I am sad about this bugs and thinking of sell my HD2 and buy a Galaxy S2.
Anybody who can give some details?

Everything is possible and almost all things made possible on HD2. I don't think fix for this issue will be impossible. Just its about time. Don't worry, Android isn't a windows mobile or windows phone for someone to protect.
Keep hopes!
Thanks...

Dude, have patience. just wait of this problem to be fixed as well. however, if u planned to by galaxy s2 there will not as much support with it as compared to hd2 cuz there are so much developers working on hd2 roms, and i hope that the time is near for a stable sense 3.0 rom for hd2.

let me understand...
out HD2 seems to be very similar to desire HD in hardware (the only difference seems to be original OS and Camera, 5 vs 8 MPx) same CPU and same graphic processore.
desire HD already have a gingerbread + Sense official rom. It's only sense 2.1, but we have same glitches problem on any gingerbread + sense rom. the problem seems to be the same...
why we need a desire (not HD) kernel source code? there is no way to use desire HD source?

I thought this at first as well but I can't explain this to you, only a dev or someone more experienced can. But in short, the hardware is not close enough, the DHD has a 2nd generation CPU vs the HD2's 1st gen or something like that, whereas the original desire has the same hardware as the HD2.
TBH, I have no clue in other words.
And once again a thread about miui by the same person blah blah bl..
Yes fine but i do actually have something this time!!
As shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1hVXPiuo6Q&feature=related
does the acer liquid thing run miui
Tere the blade's specs http://www.gsmarena.com/zte_blade-3391.php
And
The liquid's specs http://www.gsmarena.com/acer_liquid-2968.php
The screen is the same the cpu of the acer is faster but the blade has the double ram (i have the 5mp/512mb ram version)
So why not?
I would love to help and i wont say that i don't have time since that would be a lie.
I'm willing to help everywhere i can.
Acer have snapdragon CPU, blade have arm v6 CPU, MIUI not supporting arm v6

That shouldn't be a problem.
Its still android and if we find a supported kernel will it work.
a cpu is a cpu. android is android. a kernel is a kernel. Three simple things that will make it possible.

anyone up for a kingdom sense port ?
No really. would that work?
or does it only support arm7 cpus too :/
because if will we just port sense 2.1 (2.3.3) from the desire s c:
i would do it! even if sense is a little sucky
we would spend some time on something then :3
anyone up for it?

Yes c: i think it will be possible we can use stuff from the wildfire s since it has an arm11 or whatever cpu too :3
i know a little about porting i've helped with the GT540 sense port (which never worked out :/)
If a portage is possible, the base would that of HTC Salsa, or maybe the Desire ?
Sense defiantly will not port, miui may. i am not too sure. I can try give it a go once im done with porting the 2x

As we know Ubuntu Phone OS was anounced in CES 2013..

What do you guys think of it? Do you like it? Yes? No? And the most important question.. Could we have some hopes to see it on DHD? And would you like to use it on your DHD?
I would absolutely line to see this on the desire hd. Sadly thought desire hd doesn't really meet the requirements for it

I'd like to see Ubuntu become available for the DHD. I'd definitely enjoy playing around with it. If Ubuntu for the PC could have easily run Adobe apps (out of the box) I would probably have been using it at home for the past few years. Would love to see it on our phones. It would help to breathe new life into the trusty DHD, if indeed the DHD can run it smoothly enough.

Canonical announced that the new Ubuntu OS would be available in two kinds of phones, one at the entry level and the other one called “High-end superphone."
The hardware requirements are quite acceptable. The Entry level Ubuntu smartphone needs to have at least a 1Ghz Cortex A9 (single core as the bare minimum), 512MB or 1GB memory, a 4-8GB eMMC + SD for storage, and Multi-touch capability.
The high-end Ubuntu "superphone" is a little more demanding and will need at least Quad-core A9 or Intel Atom processors, minimum 1GB for memory, minimum 32GB eMMC + SD for storage, and Multi-touch.
The difference between the two models will consist in what Canonical calls “Desktop convergence.” With the help of a dock and a monitor, the high-end Ubuntu "superphone" can be turned into a thin client for Ubuntu.

despite the fact that QSD8255 architecture is simliar to Cortex A8, it easily reaches 1.5-1.7Ghz and with 700MB RAM it should be well above the minimum requirements, so performance shouldn't be an issue in any way..... Let's hope devs will succeed in integrating A8 based CPUs drivers.
I doubt, that it will be usefull. Just think about all the apps that support sharing with other OS and the SaaS through browsers. no need for DHD ubuntu here.
Ubuntu is a hell ride on desktop due to Unity. Hope it becomes joy ride on mobile phone.

Hey,
I think one of the main problem will be the disk space because I think it will be impossible to run a dual dual on a acceptable speed. But as on every OS, the apps will decide.
Anyway, it will be nice to see some players on the field of the market
I think Ubuntu Phone OS will work with DHD. Its Linux Kernel, Linux OS. Its would be great when they release the source code.
Just remember HTC Said about the Sense 4.0 it will not work correctly on the DHD, it will lag. Now the DHD has Sense 4.1, we also have jellybean and icecream sandwich.
For the DHD there is no such word as can't.
I think it would take a long time to port Ubuntu to DHD
