Hi,
I've currently got an Iphone 3G and am sick of the whole Iphone 4 mess so I'm considering getting a Galaxy S.
I'm not familiar with Android so I'm finding out what apps I have on the Iphone I can get on Android.
One question is can I sync the Galaxy Calendar via 3G/WiFi with my Google calendar?
So far it's looking good for the Galaxy!
Cheers.

It sync perfectly with google services. Google calendar is not an exception
Put it this way, every time you add an item in your Galaxy Calendar it automatically gets stamped into your Google Calendar.
I have two calendars and when I add an item it asks which one I want to save it to.
DOH! of course it's a Google phone, I was thinking android and forgetting Google, Sorry Google!
Yep it syncs perfectly with Google contacts, calendar, and contacts. And if you use Spanning Sync your calendar and contacts will sync automatically with iCal and Address book on your map.

On the SGS I've got my calendar open and showing the "Week" listing, but I can't see my appointments, nor the happenings for the day. It's all blank, except for a single listing on saturday.
The previous week is showing elements, but none of the appointments that go across the days, nor is it showing events, except when I'm showing "Day".
This really frustrates me, as I've got a disability that makes it hard for me to manage time without a proper visualization. A feature I actually had in my windows mobile phone
Is this a known bug, if it is one?
I'm a heavy user of Google Calendar and just bought my Galaxy Note yesterday. After setting up my Google Account (which has my Tasks and Events data) and synchronizing all the data, I found that the S Planner showed me only Events and not Tasks. I have tried testing if the problem is only one way ie. from Google Calendar server to Note but the problem persists the other way round. And because of this I'm forced to use the GTask app despite having such a wonderful app, the S Planner, for my task maintenance.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance.

I also needed this but doesn't look like there is a way out.

Do reply back if you find a Solution.
The S Planner Task Widget is cool. It spans the whole Screen so you can use it effectively. But I need to be able to access the Tasks from my PC too preferebly in Google Tasks.
I'm happy with the gtask app. For the widget, you can use Pure Calendar, that shows both, events and tasks from gtask.

Hi all,
Just setting up my new Note 4 and have come accross this issue.
The error occurs when I go into Settings, accounts, facebook and select Sync with your device. As such I am unable to sync my Calendar information with the S Calendar app.
When trying to perform the sync I receive "Unable to single sign on (SSO) to Facebook at this time" message.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
I am having exactly the same problem. Any help will be very appreciated!

Must be down or something. I'm using a galaxy s5 and it was working fine up till yesterday morning when I started to get this same error. Hmm.
Same problem here. Single sign on won;t work for facebook.
Contacs also keeps crushing the last week.
Lolipop is a real mess...
ALso in kitkat says , but with the next update on facebook this message will be gone
I don't think it's a facebook error. Twitter is also unable to SSO with the galaxy app. I am pretty sure it's a Lolipop bug.

I'm pretty sure it isn't the 5.0 lollipop update considering the update isn't available in my stress yet. When there's a new update about to hit, most phones in general start to do the same or something similar. I also have a Note 4 and my bf has a Note 3. I also work on devices frequently. At this point it will continue to be an issue. If you have the Facebook app then you're fine anyway. Just continue checking for further updates. Remember to shut down your device daily for 30 seconds to 1 minute (it's very similar to a computer).
.+1.Me too having the same problem with Facebook since friday. I'm on kitkat with my canadian N4.. I think thst is the Faceboom servers the problem.
Does twitter work? Cause I have iasues with single sign on and twitter also.
I'm also having the same problem since Thursday or Friday, Verizon note 4.. kk.. no other apps having the problem yet. . Very annoying. . .miss not being able ru sync calendar, and photos. ..

I thought it was just me.
I've only just received my Note 4 (Europe) and have the same problem. In my case it all works fine on my old Note 2 and Note 2014 Tablet but not on the Note 4. All my devices have Kit Kat as well.
I hope someone finds a solution as I want to sync my facebook calendar into the S Planner. At present I am keeping my old Note 2 alive for this purpose.
Is this only on Galaxy Devices
I too have this problem on my new S5. My Note 10.1 2014 is still working fine but SSO on the Galaxy S5 just wont work. I have done a factory Reset and still no success. I spoke with samsung which was a total waste of time. Cant wait for someone to find a solution to this.

I'm still on KitKat and having the same SSO issue with the FB app.
Update SNS
The cause is an outdated Samsung SNS provider. After updating it to the latest version in Galaxy Apps, it will work.
Did anyone find a fix for this? I'm having the same exact issue on my galaxy s4.

Hi, I have this tablet and plan to buy s4.
But, side sync is very important to me- can somebody tell me is it working full, partly or not working???
thanks a lot
Hello,
Sync of app data, contacts, calendar, google+, google drive, google keep and things like this between the two devices it's possible. Just remember to use the same Google (or Samsung in case of Samsung software suite to sync instead of Google's) account
Marshmallow (Android 6.0.1) was released recently for the Galaxy S5 in Australia.
All appeared well after the upgraded until I noticed that new calendar entries were were not being synchronised between the S5 and my Google account. I checked my Google account in the phone and found sync had failed for Contacts, Calendar and Tasks.
After a trying a number of different things with no success, I finally decided to do a factory wipe and reset. Everything looked OK until I installed Business Calendar 2. After a little time, I started to get sync errors again.
The only way to recover from this mess was to uninstall Business Calendar 2, remove my Google Account, delete both the Calendar and Contacts storage data and then reboot the phone. Once the phone finishes rebooting, sign in to my Google account. The phone starts to download calendar events and contacts. If you install Business Calendar 2 again, the sync function is again crippled and you have to go through the reset process again.
I have contacted the Business Calendar 2 developers but they haven;t been able to help. I also installed Google Calendar but found synchronisation unreliable. Sometimes calendar events would not synchronise. However, there were no error reported!
At this point, I have had to resort to using Samsung's S-Planner app which is very ordinary. Better than nothing I suppose.
I have done quite a bit of research and there are many Samsung S5, S6, S7 and Tab S2 user complaining about similar issues after a Marshmallow upgrade. Some have suggested disabling Power Saving but was not a solution for me.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Regards
John
