quick one for you guys.
my touch screen is completely dead. my phone fell face down and shattered.
the problem is i have a pattern (dots) lock and cant even get the phone to recognize touch
when i hook it up to the PC it shows the phone but it wont show the mass storage until its unlocked.
how can get to it?
please help!
Is the phones bootloader unlocked? What android version are you on?

Dropped my Nexus 4 today right on its face. The entire display is cracked. Sure enough, it cracked in a way where it's not responsive anymore so I can't unlock it using my pattern code. I'm stuck with just an unlock screen. I can't even press the Emergency Dial button.
How can I get into my phone? I kind of need it.... =/
EDIT: Half the screen works, half the screen doesn't so it's not fully unusable.
Same thing happened to me.. Wish I could help you. luckily i had face unlock on so can get into it but cant do much else after that with only half the screen working :/

Are you rooted? Unlocked? Were you able to unlock your phone?

hey guys i need help:
i broke my digitizer on my s4. touchscreen does not work. phone is pattern locked. and NO usb debugging is not on.
how can i get my data off? i would really appreciate anyyy help! when i plug into computer it recognizes the phone plunged in but doesnt show anything due to phone being locked.

Dropped phone, screen + digitizer is broken. I have never rooted my phone. I didn't put a screen lock luckily, and I know the USB debugger is off.. Is there any way I can still download an app or do something via the android manager on my computer remotely to see my phone's screen on my mac?

So today I broke my S4 I9505's screen by just dropping it, the touch screen still works, but the screen itself does not turn on. I have passes my pin lock by muscle memory so I have access to all my files on my computer.
All I want to do is get my SMS's off of my phone so I can put it on the replacement that's coming tomorrow.
Debugging is on, I'm rooted and running Jammil(Can not remember how to spell his name) Rom 4.4.4

So, here is my situation. The screen is not working. The touch works, but the display is completely dead. I need to enter an 8 digit password to log in but cannot see what I am entering therefore it is difficult. I need a way to either control the phone from my computer or have the phone screen be displayed. I cannot turn on screen mirroring because I cannot see the screen on the phone. USB debugging is not available because, I CANNOT ENTER THE PASSWORD. I need a way to have the phone screen appear on my laptop or even on my TV. I do not know how, and anything I found online does not work for my situation. I cannot see my screen, that is literally all I want because the phone itself will not turn on. I can't even access the phone from my laptop because I cannot unlock it so that is out the window as well.
I would print myslef a picture with a password entering screen. Than I would put it on screen and touch on it the password.
